Everyone here seems to know exactly what they are doing. I have had to call for help with my computer several times over the last few years and I always get someone who know what they are doing. Yet, when I call the hardware store or anywhere else nobody knows what they are talking to. Or even worse, I wait forever to talk talk to someone who barely speaks English that doesn't live here and has no idea what I am talking about. Discount is my favorite computer store. I first went here almost 20 years ago.

I bought the first one in 2016 at their big store in Austin. I got this one online. Both were great deals. The people are always very friendly too.

I bought a laptop here from Matt B and was really happy with the whole experience. Matt listened to what I was looking for and found me the perfect computer for a price much better than I was expecting.

Ordered a laptop at 10 pm. Found out I didn't need it an 9am. Called them immediately but they insisted on charging me a 15% restocking fee so I moved forward with the order. Not a kind policy.

I highly recommend Discount Electronics. I recently purchased a computer from them. I was very pleased with the help I received from Matt B. He helped me select a computer that is just what I need. The price was very reasonable and I would buy from them again.

Discount Electronics in Round Rock and employee Charles Hallford really bailed me out today. I had an HP laptop that wouldn't kick into gear and needed it fixed for a pair of fantasy baseball drafts at Austin sports bars in the next several days. Charles confidently told me they could get it fixed quickly. I was prepared to leave it overnight, even though my first draft is coming up in two days. Charles said, "Come back in two hours, and we should have you up and running." It didn't even take that long. I went home and he called an hour later to say, "laptop fixed, you can come and get it." I went back to DE / Round Rock, Charles made sure I was satisfied that the computer was working properly, which it was, and away I went, still giving me plenty of time to study for the fantasy drafts. And get this: There was no charge, because I bought the laptop at their Round Rock location within the last year. Sweet.

I'm a long time customer of Discount Electronics and recently visited the new Parmer Lane location. It was very clean and kinda felt like an Apple store. Tim showed me the best options for running Facebook and email and found me an all-in-one computer that works great! I don't need much, so I didn't want to pay for more than what I needed. Excellent customer service as always!

Their products are shabbily put together, and don't work. Don't worry though, because when you email them for a refund, they'll do their damndest to make you break warranty. If you manage to get through all their manipulative jabbering however, they will offer you a refund in the form of store credit, so you can buy another defunct product from them.

I received an unsolicited email from Discount Electronics, offering me a refurbished tablet 128 GB for the special price of $125+S/H. There were 16GB tablets for $79, but I did not choose that one. I clicked and purchased the 128 GB tablet. When the tablet arrived, it was 16 GB. I called the phone number and their representative kept insisting that I originally bought 16GB for $125, when the real price for 16GB was $79.16GB is completely useless for me. I clicked "return Item" but the link does not work.
I suspect that there is a trick in the blasted emails enticing customers to buy higher end products at low price, when in reality they just send you a refurbished low end product for high price.

I ordered a used laptop from this site. It came with a broken shift key, so I sent it back for a replacement. I called to ask when a replacement would be shipped, and the rep said they would send it out that day since they had confirmation that I had shipped the broken laptop I had received. She also said she would email tracking info, which I never received. Called back a week later to find it still hadn't been shipped. The new rep said they don't cross-ship replacement laptops. They had received the broken laptop four days prior but were backlogged. I told him I wanted a refund, but apparently their policy is to only give store credit. Had I known that I would never have ordered anything from them, but now that I do, they will never see another order from me. This company should go out of business for putting out shoddy products and such poor service and lousy policies.

Took my laptop into parmer store becouse the audio would not work.Diana did an update that fixed the problem. Very helpful and friendly. I purchased this laptop about 1 year ago from discount electronics south location. Thank you

Dodged a bullet! They advertise interest free 3 easy payments. NOPE, they don't do that anymore. BUT, it is still advertised as such on their website. If they lie about this, then can't trust what they say about warranty, product or anything else. Also, they want a 15% restock fee for cancel orders & refund only in store credit. Will discuss with my credit card company. BEWARE.

Last April 17, I ordered a Dell laptop. The first one I received did not work at all. After many phone calls they send a different one. These are 10-year-old office computers in rough shape. The second one at least connected to the EnterNet. But there was no sound card. I called again and they assured me that they would send the parts. That was weeks ago...Save your money and buy a new computer from a reliable dealer..

Forced to take store credit on faulty labtop. Store well not refund buyers money after purchased DOA labtop ater 3 weeks of ownership.
