Misleads consumer on website. Not qualified to perform unlocks. Steals money. Not a professional tech. The website is designed to trick consumers into purchasing an unlock, it advertises that it can perform unlocks on listed phones. Then when you pay, it changes and says that you paid for phone check, but if you want the unlock codes you have to pay them more money. Please don't do business with this man or you'll be giving your money away to some scammer.
It has been 15 days so far and my phone is not unlocked yet. This is crazy they said it would only take days to get done. I know they didnt disclose to me about two payments but i made both of them and still nothing in over a week. This is crazy it says its only 33% complete right now. I cant believe this. I am starting to feel like i am getting scammed.
First off, I purchased a used iPhone from OfferUp, which was a mistake. Turned out the phone was Sim Locked and basically worthless. A $300 paper weight. I found Direct Unlocks which is a European company who you pay to do Sim Unlocks. There is a "Pre Order" of $25 British Pounds or $35 US, then they take up to 30 days to actually verify and unlock the phone. I paid for this service over 4 months ago. DirectUnlocks did in fact unlock my iPhone, taking 30 days to do so. I had been using the phone for 3 months at least when I received a 2nd bill saying that I owed them an additional $35 Pounds or $40.57 US OR ELSE! LOL! At this point I could have easily paid for a brand new iPhone and regretting I did not do so. BEWARE, before paying for this service!
The best. No worries always fast and high recommended les than 24 hours to get my phone samsung s24 ultra unlocked now I can use my phone with any carrier any time with no worries
Two months ago I paid Directunlocks to unlock my Verizon TCL Android phone. I have not received anything from them except one response to my four emails.
First of all, the two-part payment process is shady in my opinion. Unless you have read the very fine print, you're not expecting to have to make *another* payment after your initial payment. My bank even sent me a fraud alert asking if I made the purchase. I confirmed that I had, indeed, paid these unscrupulous people. Synovus evidently knows something that I didn't at the time.
They send you a link that supposedly shows the status of your order. Mine has been stuck at 99% since the day after I paid. The first time I wrote to ask how long it would be, they wrote back and told me not to worry that they would "chase down" the IMEI number ( whatever that means) and make it a priority. After that response, I never heard anything else from them despite sending at least three more emails to inquire about my unlock.
How Direct Unlocks continues to stay in business is beyond me. At this point I don't expect to receive anything for what I paid. I'm just going to leave my truthful review in hopes it will save someone else from being scammed by this crooked company.
While it does take a bit for the unlocking to work, the results make it more than worth it. It's like I bought a brand new phone!

Answer: I don't know about other companies but this one is a total fraud and scam. You end up paying for nothing.
Answer: Same experience as Joey. This company is a scam, and I, also, will be warning as many others as I possibly can not to fall for their false promises.
