The store's helmet expert had not made it to work yet to address my concerns with my recently purchased Shoei RF1400 helmet. I actually went into one of the brick and mortar in my hometown (New Orleans)to talk to one of the salespeople about helmet size/shape/fit etc. (It has been a couple of decades sine I have owned a street bike.) They were extremely helpful advising me on the new technologies. I found the helmet I liked on the website and had it delivered to the store. They double-checked the fit and installed the pinlock visor for me. It was a great experience all around.

Good service. Got a tank bag that I question the staying power of it. Seems like they used refrigerator magnets. Really question the staying power on my 24 Heritage Classic. Stays a little better on the Tenere.
I walked into the store and talked to the guy I talked to on the phone who was vary helpful and even got me the cleaning items for my new helmet, and even helped me apply stuff for the rain since they didn't have the shield strip.
Staff is awesome from the guys working the floor to management. If they don't have it in stock they can easily get it. They all seem to be subject matter experts when it comes to motorcycle parts and accessories.

I'm very happy with the helmet I bought. But I wanted some dirt bike boots and went to your palmdale location and there wasn't very many there to choose from. None that fit me. Anyway you guys should have more of a selection. I'm 11 1/2 and couldn't find anything. But it was a good experience anyway. Thanks.

I checked out several helmets in the same brand and they all fit well at 2XL, ordered and tried on, had to ship it back and get an XL due to it being too large but other than that it's a great helmet, a lot quieter than my old helmet

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
