Over the weekend I placed the order with them and immediately noticed that the shipping address was wrong. Their internal system. I sent them a message telling him it was wrong and it needed to be changed to the same address as the building address. I called them first thing Monday morning before the item was shipped and was told. The order was canceled an hour later. I was notified that the item shipped. I called them once again and they told me that They requested FedEx, return the item to them before delivery. And at that time they would issue me a refund or shut them out to me. I was then notified the item was delivered. I called them and asked them for a refund. They told me that since I filled out. The forms wrong that it was my fault regardless of the lies that they had told me over and over. This company cannot be trusted.
They fixed my issue.
I spoke to someone in customer service and he gave me the actual tracking number which was Fedex, not UPS.
We will see if I get what I ordered.
I order some ram and an ssd drive on the 19th of Dec. It is the 10th of January, and I have heard nothing from these people. Their website doesn't work. I made a chat contact today and found out that it wasn't even shipped yet! They told me I would get an email with a tracking number in a few days when it was shipped. I was a regular customer of Crucial but no more. I will go else where for my computer needs from now on.
Crucial enticed me by the good selection in the online store. I found exactly what no one else had in stock. Website states orders will be shipped/updated within 7 days. Nothing was reported to me for 3 weeks (PROBLEM 1). I called customer support, which is a call center in India (PROBLEM 2). The technician promptly looked up my order, then requested to put me on hold to find the status (PROBLEM 3). This is when I opened this independent review blog and noticed their track record at horrible customer service. What was happening to me is exactly what the first 3 reviews warned one of. I immediately called back customer service and cancelled my order. We will see if they can do that timely so I dont have to get VISA involved.
Horrible shipping. Ordered on 11/28; Crucial shipped via UPS/USPS Mail Innovations on 11/29; UPS stated estimate delivery 12/08; USPS stated still awaiting the package from UPS on 12/08; UPS stated the package most probably was missing and advised to call Crucial to file lost claim; Crucial stated wait till 12/11 for replacement to ship and to wait at least another 10 days to arrive.
I bought on ebay, open box, 2 Crucial SSDs 500gb P3 for my computer repair shop. They both developed fatal hardware errors in a few months. Although the SSDs are well within the guarantee period, Crucial would not replace them because I was not the original buyer (and neither would be my customers so no guarantee for them either). I will NEVER buy a Crucial product again for myself, or my customers. Samsung has a much better warranty: they replace their defectives no matter who has it.
From the Crucial website, I TRIED to purchase a 1TB SSD and installation kit. I added both items to my cart, clicked on my cart, and it was empty, so I tried it again, it showed now I have 4 items in my cart, and again when I opened, it was still empty... I then tried the "chat bot" (Mistake) - I typed in the problem, and the response was "high-tech gobbledygook" - (Get this: setup a Incognito mode (?) - YEAH RIGHT... I went to AMAZON, "Click - Click" PAID / DONE! (SAME price / FASTER delivery)... I suggest EVERYONE do the same!
I was told through customer service it takes up to 48hrs for UPS or USPS to upload information to their website. Totally untrue statement, they are taking orders on merchandise they do not have inventory. Congress should look into to this this business practice they forcing customers to consume something they do not have forcing one in to a monopoly scheme. By doing this they're taking away your right to choose.
I purchased a MX500 via iFixit.com for my 2019 iMac as an upgrade to the HDD. That purchase was completely November 2022, it's now July 2023 and the MX500 is failing. When I reached out to Crucial (Micron) for a replacement they didn't offer advanced replacement. How is someone supposed to capture their data if they have to ship the old hard drive back first. I offered to submit a credit card to hold the charge in case I didn't ship back the old one and was met with resistance. I asked to be escalated and was told it wasn't possible, without being transferred to anyone else.
What a disappointing experience.
I placed 2 orders using a voucher code after price checking against amazon.co.uk.
The 2nd order the code was accepted and went through, only after it processed did a box pop up saying the discount was unavailable. At the top off the page it quite clearly states offers are a maximum of 5 per person, and the sale had been agreed at the lower price in the cart. I contacted customer services by Web chat. They were unhelpful but escalated for me. 48hrs later I've still no update. Equally, 6 days later neither order has actually shipped. 1 sent via royal mail still says we are awaiting your parcel and UPS says the same thing.
As the code was overturned on my second order I could have ordered from amazon, for less and with next day delivery.
I reached out to customer services a third time and have only received lip service.
Only buy your ram for crucial if your prepared to wait 2 weeks and pay more than you can elsewhere.
In this world of Amazon next day delivery Crucial need to up their act on delivery times. They go on about speeding up your pc whilst having the worst delivery service on the planet.
Order memory for 2 day delivery. It never should up. Contact customer service, they sucked, no help at all. Told me to wait for up to 5 business days. Unbelievable.
Do not purchase Crucial Products! There warranty is ridiculous! I've had a SSS drive for less than 3-months and it's having issues. When I contacted them for a replacement, I had to answer multiple questions, etc. That was OK, I get that to ensure it was not something I was doing wrong. Than, a few days later, another e-mail with more things to try. OK...I do that too the whole time needing my laptop for work and it's having issues. So, another day goes by and they ask again for more information. Now, this is getting ridiculous! They finally tell me to send my information over so they can issue an RMA and inform me I will take 10-days to get the products and process the RMA, etc. and they will send me a remanufactured one back. So, looking like maybe in a month, if I am lucky, I will a remanufactured one back. I offered to give them my credit card information, have them send me a replacement so I can get back up and running ASAP and if for some reason I don't return the drive they can charge my card...many places do this since I've been in IT for almost 40-yrs but not Crucial! Their policy is, "Sorry, you need to wait and we are not to do anything to help our customers"...basically, "F-You" to the people that will now NO LONGER BE THERE CUSTOMER at ALL!
So when I went to run a next gen game in my pc I needed 16 GB more ram. I went to the site it scanned my pc. It informed me I could install two 8gb of ram. It also informed me of the type my pc was compatible with. Very reasonable priced, very easy to order and pay. The delivery did take about 2 and half weeks to Ireland do keep that in mind. I installed the ram booted up my pc and now I've 32gb ram as opped to 16gb. I can now run next gen games with 10 GB ram to spare. I'll purchase here again for hardware
I paid for an order on the 6th. The tracking number provided failed day one, and the chat bot Chip, even with turning off all adblockers, never let me speak to anyone. On the 15th, I finally managed to get in touch with UPS, and they informed me that the package I believed lost had not been sent out until the 13th! I contacted the company, and they said it was sent out the 10th. I trust the UPS more than the company, but I digress. It was suppose to arrive in 7-14 days. Turns out, according to customer service, it is "expected" to arrive 8 days after being sent out, and the amount of time it takes to send it out? You never know. Could be weeks. However long it may take? You will get no message about the delay, or be contacted in any way. Customer service was there for one thing only, to repeatedly tell me "im sorry, cant do anything" over and over. The product hasn't even arrived yet, so I cant comment on that, but if you are ordering from them, and plan around the product to arrive in a timely fashion? And by that I mean the 7-14 days quoted to expect? Assume it is going to take about a full month to be safe. This company shot me in the foot and was happy to apologize for it, but couldn't or wouldn't do anything about it, and made finding out what happened one of the most difficult attempts I've ever experienced.
Ordered on Dec29,2022.
Jan 18,2023: Informed by shipping company that they are unable to deliver to me since the address is missing my apartment number. Double checked the order, I put my apartment number on...called Crucial, they confirmed that I inputted my address correctly but could not confirm if the shipper included the full address (tech support in India). The support person did not process a return and told me to wait until the package arrived at their returns warehouse.
Feb6,2023, spoke with support, they still have not received the return, promises they will provide full return when it arrives to them. Note: I asked for the address that this would be returned to and he said California, I asked for the mailing address and after 8-9minutes responded that the address was actually in Texas. This support person submitted a return so that when the package arrives at their return warehouse then I can get a refund.
Unfortunately this process has turned me off from this company so I ordered ram from another supplier & am stuck hoping that I get the refund, buyer beware.
I placed an online order Jan 1 and fully expected it would take a couple days for the order to be processed and shipped. So, giving Crucial a few days to clear the backlog (and based on the delivery time on their standard free shipping notes,) I decided to check the tracking on Jan 9, thinking it must be getting close - but the link found nothing / nada.
So I contacted customer service and, while waiting, a funny thing happened - the tracking link (sort of) started working and reported "Shipment Ready for UPS". Wow, that took kind of a long time to process - but heck it will be on its way directely. WRONG! I checked back today (Jan 11) mid afternoon and lo and behold it says "Shipment Ready for UPS". What? Two business days and the shipment is still waiting to be picked up? As far as I know UPS employees aren't on strike (yet) but come come this summer things could get interesting if they strike...then all delivery bets will be off.
Anyway, I've always been happy with Crucial's products and their scan tool makes finding compatable memory and ssd's easy,. Until Crucilal gets its order and shipping straightened out you can find other soures for Crucial products and save yourself some frustration. Hopefully the products continue to perform better than shipping.
Ordered on the 5th November first parcel apparently got lost? Now the 5th December and the replacement is still not here. These guys are a joke, speed up computers - try sorting your shipping.
Never ever will I buy from these jokers again - loyal customer lost!
Crucial currently only ships by UPS Mail Innovations. I live about 500 miles from Crucial and it's been a week since they said they shipped it and it's still not here. I suggest buying elsewhere if you want your memory delivered in less than a week.
Edit when asked if they could print off a USPS Priority mail label and hand it to their mailman Crucial replied "Due to the high volume of orders and fluctuating inventory we have been receiving recently we have decided to disable all expedited shipping options to ensure we are keeping up with the current demand."
Evidently they are trying to sell less of what they have for some reason, perhaps to keep the price from dropping. Don't know.
I placed an order on 6 July. Today it was cancelled. I have to wait another week and a half for my money back. That means they have kept my money for 5 weeks even though they never had the item to sell. Sounds like a nice easy way to make money!
