I used to use crucial.com to order products despite being slightly more than their competitors because I liked the services offered on their website. After my latest experience - no more.
Ordered two different RAM kits with 'no rush' shipping because my past experience with their free shipping has always been pleasant. 45 days later I see on the tracking it's been delivered the wrong zip code in another state. I immediately contact customer service who tell me I have to wait at least 9 business days for my order to arrive before they are willing to look into the situation. So on the 10th day, when nothing had come, I contacted them again. They told me that the tracking showed it being delivered a week ago. Finally after a bit of a fight they agreed to resend my order. When it finally arrived several days later, it was the wrong stuff. I had to contact them again to get it corrected. It took 4 weeks start to finish and hours of my time dealing with their incompetent and apathetic customer "service" team to finally get what I ordered. Crucial doesn't care about their customers satisfaction and neither me nor the rest of my IT team will be ordering from them in the future.
OK I placed an order on 04/08/22 in US (1T internal SSD, 8Gb memory, and SATA cable), and the site said 5-7 day shipping.
10 days later, having checked my order status numerous times (which always showed "order in process"), and sent several querying emails, I eventually spoke to a customer service assistant (overseas!). The (actually helpful agent) told me they were out of stock. They were when I placed the order but was at no time told that!
I was told inventory would be available in about 10 days, and they offered my 15% discount if I waited for it. I agreed to wait until 04/28... being a reasonable person. Now here, let me state I could have ordered the EXACT same items from Amazon, to be delivered in 3 days!. Then during the night 04/18) I got another email stating stock would (might?) be available 05/28/22.!
My response is that date is totally unacceptable, and to cancel my order immediately.
I know there is a shipping slow down and shortage of parts (I work in electronics industry). BUT my beef is the fact Crucial were not open and honest with the customer. Even during a call to customer services (I downloaded the transcription so I have a copy of the call).
Maybe the name of the company should be reflected in their efforts... it might be very "crucial" to the customer to give them information they need, in case they want the products fast. Very disappointed.

Bought a Msata 250GB had it for about a year could not locate the receipt and it stops responding and can not get it to come back online. After contacting the CS, they said nothing they can do.
