I requested a female driver ed teacher so I could regain my drivers license. These craigslist owners immediately put a male responder to my ad and tried to convince me males are better for me. I can now understand why because san farancisco is the biggest gathering of gay people in the world. I will never post on craigslist again
I just moved into the Addison at Universal in Orlando, FL and this is best place I have ever lived. The staff really cares about the place looking nice and clean. I live facing the pool and on the weekends it is busy but I can assure you the office staff are on it regarding residents and guests not tearing up the amenities. Everyone is super nice and it is like living at a resort. Very pet friendly and they even have a pet spa. Office closes at 6pm but they have someone that works until 9pm so the pool, technology room, and inside amenities are available. Don't waste your money on these other over priced complex, here you actually get what you pay for! Thank you staff!
Wow! You would think from reading the reviews that we are dealing with the Great Satan here! Yes, there are some ripoffs on Craigslist that you have to dodge around sometimes (or just ignore). But I have- over the years- sold over 10 unneeded items on Craigslist and it has generally worked well. I haven't been ripped off yet and- trust me- I have no special skills or street smarts.
How about garage sales for you haters?
Don't use Craigslist for paid job postings. If anything happens, the customer service is non-existent. They pretty much stole $75 from me because the site said the credit card I was trying to pay with was invalid. I re-entered the information thinking I had not gotten the billing address right and even though it came up as invalid, I was charged each time anyways!
Update: After a few days, Craiglist responded with a message saying the payments were pending and if there was only one ad posted I would only be charged once. They said the pending payments would be cancelled within 10 days. We shall see... I changed this review to one star since it was not confirmed that they stole my money, however, if the payments are not cancelled, it will be changed back to one star.
I attempted to post on Cl advertising my legitimate modeling services. My post was clean; no type of nudity was involved, and my posting was held automatically by craigslist after being charged.
Later, I received a message from CL not to post such posts when the ad did not violate any of their terms. Very unfair.
It seems like most of the ads allowed on the website exploit women for fetish gigs. Including ads seeking to humiliate women into cutting their hair off completely that scream, some sick erotism for a low dollar amount, or adult work making it on the website. Craigslist is biased on clean posts free from adult or shady content. They use a tracker and ban people from posting even if you don't offend in your post or violate their rules. It is prominent that the site is corrupt.
Between the creeps and criminals on this site--It's hard for me to give a good review. It's flooded with scam, spam, and creeps! Most of the people can not be trusted so if you use this site, use caution! The site is generally okay.
Craigslist gets a 5 star in my book. I have never been scammed but have scammers tried to scam me? A million and one times! But if you are streetwise you would do just fine! I have bought and sold stuffs on craigslist successfully, I have hired temp assistants, that turned out to actually work good.
But most of the job offers on there are fake. Don't bother about going to their forum, they are just a bunch of horny guys with nothing to do (sorry for being so outspoken)
CraigsList was so good back in the day that I put all my marketing eggs into that basket. Then, the day I opened a store, they put my account on hold after doing craigslist for three years. There was no support and nobody to talk to, so it has been on hold ever since. Even a new iNumbr phone number didn't get any response. I now use EbayClassifieds.com which is far, far better in every way except that few people know about it yet. Well, now you know.
I used craigslist to find a job, its the only way! Wish they had better spam controls though, pretty much anyone can email you any type of garbage... just make sure you don't put your real email and make sure it goest through craigslist!
Like all these sites online, you have to be on guard, people (buyers) will have you running in circles until the cows come home. And NEVER agree to deliver, that gives them the advantage. When you arrive at the destination, they'll start wit the usual jerkoff games to get you to lower your price. I make it a point to never leave my chair for anything off the internet until they've arrived. I have a 2 or 3 question limit before i delete them and I do not get into texting marathons.
Because of Craigslist I have a decent ongoing business and making a good living. I've never had any complaints, no really! They aren't perfect- but what is? I wish they could enable hyperlinks to your business website, for instance.
I changed my 1 star to a 3
5 would be perfect or close to in my eyes.
I have some issues with this van and so on.
But the owners did buy back the van.
For that we are greatful to have that taken care of.
I know first hand how hard it is to have a business and hope the best for this family owned business.
Best wishes~
My son's renters moved out and the inside needed painting. He lives in Minneapolis and and the house is here in Portland so he found someone to do the work and asked us to help. My husband and I showed up at the appointed hour but the painter did not show up. I called my son and he found Francisco Munoz on Craig's list and gave him a call. Francisco showed up within an hour with equipment and a big smile. He painted living room, dining room, hallway and 2 bedrooms. He did several applications in the bedrooms because the old paint was very dark. He also added texture to the family room and painted the ceiling. When we returned all the holes and blemishes had been covered up and the house looked like new. I was astonished! He worked so fast and yet so well. I could see his sense of pride and how much heart he puts into his work! Francisco is a treasure! I cannot recommend him any higher. Also he only charged us $430.00! What a deal! I wish he did everything for a house!
I look for items specifically located for sale in the city and surrounding areas that I live in. I do not consider 200 300 400 500 miles with in my local area. What is the problem.? Craigslist used to be a very functional site until the geniuses that design it decided that they could make it better. They have destroyed what was once a great site to shop on. My only option is to delete it and find something else to do my shopping on. Damn them for ruining such a great site.!
Purchased a piano from Bill Kap piano company in Cleveland, Ohio. Bill Kap and his salesman, Lou, repeatedly told us that we were buying a "brand new piano with a 10 year warranty." Piano was delivered (3 hours later than promised) without any warranty information. I called Bill Kap, who said he would "mail that out" to me. When a week passed without any warranty info, I called the manufacturer to ask about the warranty. Gave the manufacturer the serial number, and was told that my "brand new piano" was actually 18 years old, and no longer covered by warranty. Emailed Bill Kap, who never responded. I would definitely look for a reputable dealer, and Bill Kap does not fall into this category. Don't be fooled by the age of his business... just means he's been ripping people off for a long time!
Craigslist keeps flagging my ads. There is nothing inappropriate in the ad.
I post separate ads for cleaning and modeling. I am not seeking any inappropriate behavior.
The email from Craigslist tells me not to use the site for this type of ad.
However, there are several ads openly seeking inappropriate behavior:
Wood worker
Plumber
Pitch and catch
Ads that state nudity, naked or sex
Selling nude photos
There are also people who post up to 20 ads in the same category and other categories. Craigslist tells you to limit how many postings and categories you are allowed. But it's not being enforced. It also makes it difficult to find the legitimate ads.
Craigslist has become a waste of time.
Craigslist has gotten way too scammy. You can not even post an item for sell with out getting a ton of SMS messages from scammers. I find it very frustrating. But they do nothing, they only decide to make it harder for you to post ads. I had a hard time making my ads (For sale by owner- Furniture) go live. They kept getting ghosted.
If you are in the huntsville/madison area stay away from these apartments they will draw you in with the specials and then lie about so call damages that are normal wear and tear to avoid returning the security deposit back
It depends on where you live as to your experience on Craigslist. You have to keep safety and the possibility of scams in mind. I personally have never had a bad experience with a transaction. This is one of those... if its too good to be true it probably is... kind of things. Don't set yourself up for a bad experience.
I wish I had thought of it. It doesnt seem to matter what I am feeling like, from selling a xylophone to writing a Haiku, I inevitably find a reason to browse. Be mindful of using your personal info, especially your phone number. Be sure to look at other ads and do some browsing to see how other users successfully navigate the site because trolls abound. (everywhere, not just here) It is a really fun site, and always interesting.
Answer: Because the dealers pay them. Craigslist has turned into a spammers haven. There are next to no real postings left. The scammers flag real postings so their ads get priority. Its a dead site.
Craigslist has a rating of 1.8 stars from 513 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Craigslist most frequently mention customer service, several times and phone number. Craigslist ranks 188th among Classifieds sites.
