I contacted Lou via email as he has an assistant who schedules his work. I needed someone to drive my car for a move to another state and Lou handled my car with the most respect. The trip was from Sarasota to Orlando FL. I highly recommend Lou as your personal driver. My car was clean just as it was when he picked it up and my gas tank was full. I tipped him and would hire again.
Yet again, another website that plays tug-of-war with my emotions! I found my first full-time job on Craigslist. On the flip-side, every other apartment listing is scam; usually an archaeologist currently stationed in Africa who chooses you as the lucky person to send him money in exchange for the keys before you ever get a chance to look at the apartment. I've participated in a handful of promotional gigs and studies for money. Flip the coin! Every other job posting is a door-to-door sales job that masquerades as a prestigious sales job with 100k potential. I sold my collection of video games for a great price in a matter of 2 days. The "Personals" section is basically 42nd street in the 70s and 80s (Don't ask me why I know this). On craigslist, there's good, bad, worse, pathetic, and downright disgusting! Once you find that diamond in the rough, it's usually worth it!
Craigslist... what more needs to be said? It's good and it's bad. I've found a lot of great deals on craigslist and even found some jobs, but I've also met some really crazy people. One word of advice: don't use your real email with craigslist. Create a fake "craigslist only" email address. I sold this one guy some computer software. I get a call the next day from the guy saying he couldn't figure out how to install it! I tried to help but he just couldn't figure it out, and I couldn't understand the problem because it's as simple as putting it in the DVD drive and clicking "install". I started to feel like he was playing dumb, like maybe he installed it already and wanted a way to get the money back anyway. Finally just told him I couldn't help him. He posted my full name, my email, my phone number and my license plate on craigslist! I gave him back all his money so he'd remove the info. Oh well, just be careful on this website.
I like using this website to look for work ONLY not dating LOL. Decent amount of job ads. I found a job thru this site-NO JOKE. But I think that was more pure luck IMO. Still, it works-I've received many job interviews thru Craigslist.org.
craigslist.org is an evil company. If you use them to promote your business they will remove your Ad and put your account on hold for know good reason. They even allow flagging your Ad which usually comes from the criminals who scam people and your Ad gets REMOVED. They do nothing about the real theifs who hack their system and you will see like ten ads posted in the same city only hours appart.
There are no more private sellers on this site. They are all dealers posing as private sellers and I won't buy a thing from a crooked dealer. Prohibited pet sales stay up, alcohol, guns. There are no rules.
I'm always checking this site for cool things to buy, rent, try and do. They've really made some substantial improvements on the functioning of this site lately and the iphone app is great! I'm always posting things and finding hidden treasures. Very cool!
I have listed several things on craigslist before, but now when I want to list my item on there it keeps getting flagged. The general consensus I get from the forum is that everyone thinks I am asking to much for it, so they flag it just because they don't like the price. I don't see how anyone can really have a say In how much I ask for my vehicle. If they don't want it no one is making them buy it. You can't get ahold of anyone at CL, they just tell you to go to the forum which is a good place to get verbally abused. I am very disappointed.
I've posted for a room to rent several times through out the years and lately things aren't what they use to be. I've gotten messages from men of course that invite me out of state for a place all expenses to get there free rent sound to good to be true. I figure ok if this man wants me to go stay there for free all expenses paid then let's see how true it is. I'll message back stating "if you want me to believe your legit and I can go worry free no rent etc then show me. Here's my cash tag if you want me to believe you and trust you send $50 if not then your probably a trafficking women that are vulnerable and believe what you say and are never to be seen again"
Other responses are "take care of me I'll take care of you" I'm willing to pay rent why am I taking care of anyone period.
Don't take my word for it put an ad up in your city state your a female looking for a room... and the responses will come
I've also put ad in the craigslist community ride share section to get a ride to store and back pretty much noonish willing to pay but same responses "I don't want the cash we can work out something out" "can you send a pic" "are you a female"
These responses usually come from midnight to 4 am no I won't get in a car at that time I would've ubered but only got cash on me and the main reason to go to store was to load my cash app
Contacted Hobbyman (Eric) about getting scratches fixed on a door and tailgate on my SUV. He had a great ad and after I spoke with him I decided to get the work done while I was away for the weekend. I was not happy when I pick up the car but in a rush just arriving from the airport. Paint showed numerous imperfections, I wasn't expecting perfection but the quality was very bad. I cooled down and a week later decided to call him to ask what went wrong and how unhappy I was. He responded by shouting at me telling me this is bull$#*! and hung up the phone. Lesson learned you get what you pay for. I wanted to save a few bucks now its going to cost me more to get it fixed the right way. Do yourself a favor and don't fall for his ad and his BS.
Transactions needs to be done personally, not online. Most (Again, the term used is "Most" not "All") of the job advertisements on this website are high risk and some of them don't exist.
As for the products advertised, needs to be cautious as most of them seem to be too good to be true!
While Craigslist started off as a good site, and has maintained a very clean and lightweight design throughout it's existence, it's undoubtedly one of the absolute worst sites on the internet today.
The site staff literally don't care about their users. Support emails are literally never read, they go to an unmonitored inbox. Their site's contact form is literally just a placebo, those messages literally never get read. Their forums are the most toxic place on the internet and you will never get any sort of help from them, only flaming and insults.
The site is full of scams, phishing, criminals trying to set people up to rob them, and it's automated spam filtering algorithms do nothing to prevent the massive flood of spam that makes up the majority of the content on the site, but they do often prevent legitimate users from posting non-spam-content.
Furthermore, the founder, Craig Newmark, is an objectively terrible person. He's not a good man. He's a hateful, vindictive, self-righteous arrogant jerk who goes out of his way to shut down competition, to shut down sites that enhance Craigslist, and a hypocrite who claims to stand against corporatism while engaging in the very thing he decries
Do yourself a favor and stop posting on that site, and don't pay them a penny. Let Craigslist starve and die
Put my account on HOLD & won't say why.
Can't FIX... had this account for way more than a Decades.
Do NOTHING Wrong. Just trying to sell some stuff to stay alive.
Can't POST now and have not been able to much else for a very LONG time.
100% the Worst Anal beings (Human, probably NOT) on this planet.
Don't waste your time with this website. It is Spam Central and the number of bogus ads on this site is worse than ever. Trying to find anything legitimate on this site is a complete waste of time. The housing ads are especially bad. 2017
Craigslist removed my ad for an activity partner listing. There was no reason to remove it and it makes no sense. I wont be using them anymore. After they removed my ad I did some searching and found that Oodle.com, offerup.com, and classifiedads.com are better.
Unusable and customer support is unreachable. It's an unreliable and outdated service and doesn't work for business purposes. Sadly, it's a popular app and has more traffic than the alternative but it doesn't mean it's a good service.
I have to say I love the site, but you do have to be a little cautious on there just because there are so many people out to scam others.
I have sold and purchased many items on this site and overall love it. It allows many different things be listed and you can find hard to find items even.
Overall I highly recommend this site.
They have a activity section for perverted ads they accept posted but always flag my ads for no reason for seeking women. I wish the whole site could be removed since they accept dirty ads and soliciting ads. I notified the fbi
Craig's list is okay if you are a buyer but to be an advertiser was a real waste of my time. Each time I posted an ad to sell something the only replies I got were morons who don't know how to read the part that says not to solicit me. The only ads that got the desired results were my cell phone ads and my software ads. I answered a couple of job ads on Craigs list that turned out to be scams. I stopped using this site and went elsewhere. If you want to use this web site that's up to you. Use it with caution. I don't reccomend Craig's List.
Great site... Had to speak on it since it helped me out a lot. I just moved out of my house and have a ton of things I don't want to bring with me. A friend of mine told me to post the items on craigslist so I did. I sold all my stuff within a week. It payed for the entire move. Love Love Love craigslist.com
Answer: Because the dealers pay them. Craigslist has turned into a spammers haven. There are next to no real postings left. The scammers flag real postings so their ads get priority. Its a dead site.
Craigslist has a rating of 1.8 stars from 513 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Craigslist most frequently mention customer service, several times and phone number. Craigslist ranks 188th among Classifieds sites.
