Our sump pump went out, which required our carpet to be pulled up to dry everything out. We contacted The Flooring Men because they said they could re-stretch and lay our existing carpet back down. He said due to the circumstances and our situation he would come out the next day. He never showed up, we called about 5 times and he didn't answer, he didn't respond to texts. It's one thing if you can't make it and let us know, but to be so unprofessional and ignore all calls and texts, that's ridiculous! Don't use them!
Russian Bots are controlling or attempting to control the sections of politics and Rant/Rave in several cities across the nation. I try and report it and no one EVER GETS BACK TO ME. They also have porn posted and no one monitors it. There also has been threatening posts to form militias, shoot people and start a Civil War, yet, Craigslist just leaves them for someone else to flag. Sometimes after flagging the post doesn't get removed. Craigslist needs to get it together. Right now, they don't do squat to protect the consumer, our country our countries people!
I tried to submit an ad, the ad kept getting removed, so I went to the help forum to figure out why.
Instead of getting actual help or feedback, I got bullied off the site by a bunch of internet trolls.
The site is thereby, entirely unusable for me. I cannot post anything without it getting removed, and I have no way to find out how it was removed or how to alter my posting so that it follows the rules and won't be removed.
This category is a joke. When you place your ad on here for a review of a business to let others know to beware, it always gets flagged and removed. What is the issue here? I thought that was what "Rants and Raves" was all about? Not kool!
I've placed 17 listing on Craigslist and all of them have been removed by Craigslist. I've tried numerous times to talk to someone LIVE in craigslist company. I've sent emails. I used their message forums with no luck of someone LIVE to contact me. In my opinion they are scared to communicate with customers. They despise talking to customers one on one.
Joe Holmes of Repairing & Remodeling Holmes Inc is a Scam Artist! He gave a quote to my 85 yr old mother & we agreed to hire him. He was paid in full. We returned to the house the next day to find his work was shoddy & unprofessional. He also told us he's not incorporated like he leads us to believe. We now have to hire a professional to come out & fix his "work". He argued with my entire family! He is aging and needs glasses but refuses to wear them. I strongly urge anyone in need of a handyman to look elsewhere! He also told me he had a job & the homeowner put stop payment on $1000 check b/c he broke their TV moving its stand! STAY AWAY FROM JOE THE SCAM MAN!
I have sold countless bicycles, sporting goods... there are genuine buyers out there, but they are all local of course, if out of state no's -Beware! I'm in ATL btw.
-Now if you get that 2 in a row - 30 minutes apart text messages where someone wants to know if your "Art" item is still for sale and "what You low last price? " on it... yeah them's are scumbag scammers,
-but Craig's List is not at fault here... is just a fact of life that Scumbags are people
Too, with smartphones!
Great online classifieds site. Have had mostly positive experiences with buying and selling. Be careful when meeting buyers/sellers and beware of scams. Also, the overposts and miscatigorization from apartment complexes are really annoying. At least in my area. I usually flag them when I can. Anyway, if you use common sense in your dealings you should have little problem.
Every piece of satire I have written was rejected by, I assume, the moderators. Nothing like having your voice deemed unsuitable. I'm pretty sure they don't take the time to really uunderstand where I'm coming from. I'm an averagely intelligent person who just so happens to have a very dry sense of humor that requires some thinking to understand. I say if you don't want prople's opinions, don't run a forum for them. I'm also confused at how most of the posts that make it are hateful and overtly racist, when mine are harmless in comparison. I know they have a flagging system but my posts are removed before they ever appear on the site.
I have found jobs here and sold stuff so I guess there is some value but it is outweighed by the feeling I get when my voice is squashed.
Don't bother anymore. They now charge a fee to post some things for sale and they may delete it if they feel like it. Only scammers reply. The fact that you have to pay for only cons to spam you is adding insult to injury. Find a more reputable place like Pennysaver, Recycler or anything better.
Craigslist is so riddled with unwanted solicitations and scams and when you meet someone to sell or buy your stuff it better be in a public place.
Or you better be armed because you either have money to buy or you have something of value they want.
So just be careful all the time and be in public.
Meet at a police station a library or other government building by a court house with lots of cameras and witnesses and police sheriffs around.
I came here because no recourse for leaving feedback/reviews. I live in Austin and tried to hire a guy who rents out Moonwalks/Bouncehouses for $75. He has 3 (Hello Kitty, Spiderman & a Purple Castle). I spoke to him over the phone and hired him for a kid's party. There was no contract but he assured me he would make it. I sent a note to Administrators of Craigslist after he was a no show. But likely nothing will be done to regulate people like this. He is running a business using Craigslist. He doesn't have a name listed so no easy way to give him a yelp review. I guess Buyer Beware and I'd recommend meeting anyone you hire before your event to get something in writing
I have always been able to search and find what I am looking for at a reasonable price. Even though you have to watch for scammers, for the most part, Craigslist team does a great job trying to remove all the spam.
I used to really love posting my small business ads for cleaning. Unfortunately over the years they have now started charging you to post an ad. I would not mind this if I got anything that was legit but right off the bat, I get sick messages. Such as asking for me to clean someone's house while there completely naked and other spam which are supposed to be filtered out. I have not gotten one legit response with my ad so I feel like I throw my money away. It was so much easier the way it was before and wouldn't mind all the Spam if it weren't for the fact that now I'm paying. There isn't a real person to report anything to so now Im officially am done with this site. I figured over the years, they would start charging people because that seems to be the only thing people care about is making money and not providing a reliable service.
I have bought and sold a lot on Craigslist. I loved it when I first started using it. However it is becoming extremely frustrating now due to all the penny bid websites putting fake ads on there. They list very desirable items such as iPhones that seem just a little bit too cheap but not so much so that it's an obvious tip off. The best way to spot them that I have found is to look for odd pricing. Legitimate users round their prices to an even number ie, $100, $125, $200 etc. The scams are usually listed unrounded such as $104, $143, $214 etc. They claim to have just sold the product and then let you in on a little known secret they used to get such a great deal on the product. If you see one of these and get that response it is a scam. Flag it and don't use that site. Craigslist tries to offer anonymity but that backfires when you can track and stop the crooks.
It's the worst place to look for JOBS there is. Most of the ads are spammers or agencies collecting your information. I especially avoid any ads that don't give a business address, phone number, fax number or email address. If businesses were to advertise in a newspaper at least one of these things would be listed. If it's only a Craigslist email address that's given, back off! I had to change my personal email address because I was getting 70+ spams a day. I really need a job badly but I'm tired of trying to filter out the 10% real jobs from the rest.
Colorado Customs services
I had the horrible dishonor of working for this company for a week. I was treated like a dog verbally abused by management and owner Bill. Was left stranded 50 miles away from my car and had to walk back in 100 degree heat. I was not paid the $200 that was owed to me. I am homeless sleeping in my car and was treated like a savage wild animal. If Bill and Jerry can treat a human being like this I can't see how they could run a business or be trusted with a open check. Run stay far away. Too sum it up, Run far far away from these horrible people.
Carlos Paz, phone # *******232, also has a website he might refer you to https://carlosmoisespaz.shutterfly.com/
DO NOT USE HIM. I used him for my home renovations for more than $10k (including bathrooms, kitchen, flooring, basically everything). First of all, he did not complete single part of the job (e.g., bathroom, there are still holes in the wall, the vanities are not installed, he messed up the plumbing so I had to spend extra money). He will assure you that he can do it all but he's really just a tile guy (although not even that good at that because the tiling is uneven and the grout is coming off). He will also lie and say that he can complete the job w/in a x period of time. He quoted me 1 month at first, and 4 months later, I was so fed up with his lies and inexperience that I had to let him go.
Do yourself a favor and don't use him. You have been warned.
This guy was a bad joke. He did the worst possible auto detailing job I have ever seen. They did not even touch the inside of the cars. I had 4 cars I paid $330.00 to detail one car, then they were supposed to clean the other cars. They did not even clean the other cars on the inside at all! I called him on it and he then promised he would come back and make it good. That was 4 months ago! I called him to remind him he again lied to me, he never came to clean the cars. Don't use this fly by night service. He uses a bunch of young guys and does not give them guidance on how to work, so they completely skip the inside of the cars. I could go on but lesson learned for me I hope you read this and don't waste you money and time with this Dany Inland Empire Auto Detailing!
Two days ago I posted my car for sale on Craigslist. In a matter of 24 hours, I received a combination of 17 phone calls and emails from SCAMMERS. Not one legitimate reply was received. PLEASE be cautious when using Craigslist. The scammers are becoming more sophisticated in their attempts to secure your funds. Unfortunately I will no longer be utilizing Craigslist for future services.
Answer: Because the dealers pay them. Craigslist has turned into a spammers haven. There are next to no real postings left. The scammers flag real postings so their ads get priority. Its a dead site.
