Every piece of satire I have written was rejected by, I assume, the moderators. Nothing like having your voice deemed unsuitable. I'm pretty sure they don't take the time to really uunderstand where I'm coming from. I'm an averagely intelligent person who just so happens to have a very dry sense of humor that requires some thinking to understand. I say if you don't want prople's opinions, don't run a forum for them. I'm also confused at how most of the posts that make it are hateful and overtly racist, when mine are harmless in comparison. I know they have a flagging system but my posts are removed before they ever appear on the site.

I have found jobs here and sold stuff so I guess there is some value but it is outweighed by the feeling I get when my voice is squashed.

eBay member since dec, 13 1998. Bret69 is my user name. Perfect feedback. Over 100 transactions. Last thing I sold, a $1000 lathe chuck, sold for $270 and a hold was placed on my funds for 1 month. eBay expected me to pay out of pocket to ship this heavy item across the country. I needed the funds from the sale to pay for shipping. I ended up refunding the money to the seller. I spent over an hour on the phone with them trying to get the $27 transaction fee reversed and was told the buyer had to initiate the cancellation of the transaction, which I have since learned is not true. I put a block on my bank account and now ebay is continually harassing me over non payment. They won't ever get a dime from me. DONT EVER TRY AND HOLD BRET TAYLORS MONEY!

I opened a shop and listed 47 items. I sold three things right away to the tune of about $110. After a few days the funds were not available to transfer. I spoke to them and they said the funds would be available that day but it never happened. The problem for me is that it can take 5 days after the request for funds to get the money so I figured, including weekends, it would be about 10 days from the sale date to get the money. I'm sure they spell all this out in their policies and many people will side with them because I didn't read them entirely before doing business with them. That's fine if you want to miss the point you have every right to do so. I don't do business with companies that hold my funds. That's just how I roll.
