Carlton Edwards was awesome as a salesperson. I purchased a used 2003 Honda Accord Coupe and he went out of his way to assist me. The car was a good deal with low mileage and he helped me reach my final decision. The car had a slight damage in the front bumper. He even assured me to get that fixed at a future date at a nominal price. A very helpful salesperson and I will go back to him for future trade in and buying a new vehicle. God Bless him. Ronnie B. Used to be Great, Now you can't even put one ad up because in less than 5 minutes, it is automatically deleted. It is absurd. I have sold things through CL in the past, and this week I put up some stuff to get some extra cash, and literally in less than 5 minutes, it is deleted. Oh, and there is no way of contacting CL directly, you have to go to the forum. Sucks!
Is a daring bulletin board system directed toward the major cities in the US, Canada, the UK, and (soon) other countries. The magical distinction of Craigslist is its use of anonymous email forwarding: your email address is invisible to the public. A pointer (which expires after several days) forwards all responses to you. Visit Craigslist if you want to sell or buy something, if you want to meet new people (romantically or otherwise), if you want to look for a job, or if you want to share your ideas. Almost all of its features are totally free, except job listings for employers.
I found a job on craigslist for a delivery driver for a flower shop in colorado springs called colorado springs florists. I worked for this person for about 2 months but she wrote me 3 bad checks during that time, and was atleast 1 week late every time she paid me. Her own bank told me she had been doing it for awhile to all her drivers. Craigslist doesn't monitor their jobs and its a daily chore for me to mark fake jobs as spam. I have over 1300 jobs marked as fake jobs right now. And the ones that are real are jobs like this where an employer is looking to screw you over.
Craigslist used to be a good site now it's all fake ads with liars thieves and drug addicts. Even posting legitimate ads on there they keep getting flagged and craigslist won't do anything to stop it. Craigslist needs to.b shut down and get all the low lifes, losers,, drug addicts and thieves off there.
The one site I rely on for pretty much everything is craigslist. I sold my couch, bought a new TV and found an apartment all for free. I even got a job doing promo work for a night at a local club. The only thing I am wary of is the online dating part of craigslist. I will say I have a friend who used it and found a boyfriend but it seemed like it wasn't as good as match or eharmony. Then again, free is free.
I want to try posting on casual encounters but I don't have a phone. I notice the posts are from hookers and fakes etc. you are not keeping the fakes out. Phone verification can be easily bypassed and I am not paying a cent to do it. Your personals are as ridiculous as your automated customer service. You don't serve the community. Zero stars
My experience was a waste of time. Lots of scammers people wanting you to wire money without meeting them or viewing the property. It was a joke. Any smart person does not just blindly wire funds to people on the internet.
Got a lawnmower from a guy in my county, no troubles at all, showed on time and the product was used as shown in pictures and in working condition! And the price was right!
Good alternative to lowes or amazon imho.
Besides Amazon and Facebook to find what I need. Easy to use and always on time. But you do have to be careful with some of the items in the list. Knowing what's fraud and what's not will help you dearly.
I did all the necessary steps to secure a rental that required moving quite some distance from where I live now. I am a disabled elderly lady who made the trip to see the rental and provide legal paperwork for the rental. After we agreed that it would work out and I sent a check as expected, we set a date for me to move in. Then a few days before I was getting ready to move in, the party cancelled on me and I was left to find another place short notice. I have not been able to find anything. Perhaps craiglists personnel should screen the advertisements more accurately so people are not left with this problem. I may become homeless and who cares?
Craigslist is a very good place to shop BUTTTT u sure
Gotta watch all the time about all the scammers on there, I have listed a item for say $250.00 and immediately I have lowlife scammers try to get me to accept their check or they will have their truck come by and pick up item, I sometimes want to tell them what they can do with their offer; another thing, I understand Craigslist cannot possibly monitor every thing posted there. I think there are a lot of honest people that use this service to buy and sell there. I will continue to shop there but being very careful. Thank's Aubrey
I tried several posting adds to sell pre-owned belonging. I took the time to post good photo and gif text description of the items. I post. Craigslist send email back to confirm I can now see my add. I follow the email link and my add already flagged.? This is annoying and you have no idea why they flagged my adds. I try many times... same results with different products. Craigslist offer NO ANSWER AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am surprised they are still in business. I use many other websites to see my personal items and they are serious website with customers service and they rely to your questions. Also they other website so not allow other people to flag and block your adds without any valid reason and analysis. Craigslist is far behind in term of website model and no customer service... shocking and frustrating to try to user it. I will not loose my time anymore on Craigslist. Bad website
Was scammed out of 1,600 by Kathryn Burton for 2004 toyota camry LE never received my car out my cash the scammer are still contacting me. Hope this helps someone else not get scammed as well Craigslist closed in on these fake pages on their website
No way to talk to a live human being. Voice recordings and emails with automatic responses seem to be the way to go with craigslist. They remove your ads with no indicators as to why. I have tried emailing them and yet my responses are automatic. The response you get when you call in to them is to email them. You are basically just are running around in circles getting nothing accomplished with them. When they remove ads they need to start giving explanations as to why. I have read through all of the rules and it makes absolutely no sense as to why my ads are being removed. I can spend hours compiling ads and trying to help my customers out. I used to love craigslist and lately it is just a huge hassle. I used to recommend everyone to them. I want everyone to know how terrible I think their customer service is. Wanted to test the waters with the free ads to start out. Thanks for nothing!
Hello I buy and sell cars as a dealer and I been using Craigslist over 10 years you guy are charging me 5 dollars a post i see u guys became greedy I have no choice now but to post my cars on author sites that r free and great to sell on no body goes on crigslist anymore you guys ruined it 5 dollars a post really? Wat a shame well sad to say but good bye Craigslist
Good and bad experiences on craigslist. I've had people show up and be great, then I've had people that were a complete waste of time. Wish craigslist could screen users so i know who they are and the bad ones can be avoided
Where to begin. This is one of those 'classic' brands. Say 'craigslist' and we think of when the 'net was "new and cool" and all that. Like the classified in the weekly, browsing it all day for a used car. Come 1996 and whoa, it's online! Cool!
So that part, is where I give the 1 star. But since then, and maybe "off the normal usage" of it, I explored the forums. Many drunken a nights, or one too many lonely nights after a woman letdown. I wish it was "that way". Where, you could actually meet "a friend", and we never run into those people who only rate down or reply all cocky and trying to be edgy and cocky and hard and cool.
Craigs List just sucks. I have listed and bought stuff several times on this site but it just keeps getting worse. The person that gave the review about job postings is absolutely correct, but it is not just job listings. This whole site should be flagged and removed.
There are a couple of free section where you can post an ad for about an hour, It seems that unless you pay to have your add listed. It is flagged and then removed. The other bad things is even if you pay for the ad. Craigslist allows user to flag an ad and then have it removed. If some user has an issue with the way you word your ad, it can be flagged and removed. And your out the money.
It is a piece of garbage and I have found they do not care it's all up to the user basically. Users Beware you could and will end up spending a lot of money if you use this site. Avoid it like the plague.
Answer: Because the dealers pay them. Craigslist has turned into a spammers haven. There are next to no real postings left. The scammers flag real postings so their ads get priority. Its a dead site.
Craigslist has a rating of 1.8 stars from 513 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Craigslist most frequently mention customer service, several times and phone number. Craigslist ranks 188th among Classifieds sites.
