I ordered a frying pan from them and received confirmation of my purchase right away. A week and a half gone by and no update on when I will get my pan. I tried messaging them through email and website and no response. They also blocked me from seeing their website all together after I messaged them. Now I have no way to reach them. Please believe all the negative reviews on cookstore. They are a scam
Do not buy from this company! Service is appalling. I passed an order over a month ago. Received almost no information about delivery dates. Today, after more than 30 days of waiting, I just received an email saying that my order was cancelled and that i would be refunded. I ordered over 2000 dollars and had many items ordered.
How can such a poor service company still be in business? Please do not order anything from this company without delivery dates.
I have purchased many items and until recently, been very satisfied. Latest two orders were very late, and incomplete. I tried to correspond with them, and after being on hold for half hour, line was disconnected at their end. Today I received a very late shipment that included a pot that they were advertising at a much lower price, so I contacted them online and asked for a price match. The only way, I was told, to get it would be to return my shipment and reorder - they cannot do price match after shipping. Lousy way to treat customers.
I placed an order Nov 30 2021 expecting to receive it before Christmas. Due to the large number of order this was delayed so fare acceptable. Dec 28 I received the information that it would be delayed for another 3 weeks witch I accept. Jan 24 I am informed that one of the item will not be available and ask me to look at an other Color which I accept. I told them my choice and they told me that I would have to pay an extra 38.00$ To get that one. Note that this is the same item in a different Color…they did not accept to give me the price advertised on my original order. I have been waiting for this Christmas gift for. 2 months and that's all they have to offer. Very disappointed and unhappy with this customer experience.
Do not do business with this scam operation. I ordered a D3 brushed all clad pan set and it showed up missing the 1.5 qt pan. The lid was in the box, but not the pan. I emailed them every day for a week and still haven't heard back. Buyer beware! Find another site.
I had to wait months for one of my orders that was for thanksgiving (got it by Valentines). The second time I ordered they sent me the wrong colour of product - when I returned it I had to follow up with them applying the credit back. Really bad experiences both times- I will never be purchasing from them again.
The Cookstore is not a place to do business with currently. They have poor customer service and do not answer the phone nor do they respond in 4 hours of submitting a ticket as they say. Because of this poor customer service i must now re order my order to make it correct. This could of all been avoided if they actually practiced what other online cooking stores practice and that is customer service. Shop elsewhere!
Ordered two items and after chasing for 18 days I tried to cancel. Magically, my order was in shipping and not able to cancel anymore. Magic. Sorry to the other customer that probably had their product re-directed to my order to prevent the cancellation. Or, it isn't really going to ship and I'll have to chase that. Back to Amazon. Tried to support a Canadian company, but this is not worth it.
Made a purchase and after initial email never got any answer. Reported to Better Business Bureau who didn't got an answer either. Now it changes its address, it's a scam.
Unfortunately, my mussel pots arrived very late. No mention of back order until the order had been placed. Didn't meet the 2nd Delivery date either. However, your staff were amazing at handling the situation I have them now, love them, and will definitely deal with you again.
You were wonderful when my original ordered product was not available due to COVID related logistics issues & you graciously offered a better but similar product at no additional charge & both these items have arrived safely well ahead of their date with Christmas! I ordered a Emile Henry stewpot Jan 2022. The site did say that there would be a two week delay. It's been 11 months now and I'm still waiting. They never proactively provide me with updates; I have to chase them each time. I've complained so much that they have thrown in an All Clad whisk. I managed to buy the product from another provider but am hanging out for this one as I want to give it as a gift. Not sure what year I'll receive it. They've got the money, I've got nothing.
Won't refund a delayed order. Keep pretending items are 2–4 weeks away and nothing ever ships. Happy to take my money though. Highway burglars! Stay away from the scammers. Chargeback coming you way clowns!

I've made several orders. I know to make sure the items are in stock before shipping.
Yet without fail, I get the email: Back Order, 2-4 Weeks.
5 weeks later I contact: oh we're sorry, looks like 2-4 more weeks.
3 weeks later? 2-4 more weeks.
I got a refund after 9 weeks and finding the item elsewhere. This site and the others like it have items that are hard to get in Canada, and usually for a slightly better price. Always check Cookstore.ca, kitchenessentials.com and kitchensmart.ca. But be warned: they all play this same game. An unending wait for products.
Their customer service is: list everything on website, take money, place order overseas, don't even bother tracking those orders or giving the customer actual information. You can tell their employees are not allowed to say anything except:
"Thank you for your order. That will be 2-4 weeks."
I ordered one item from their website that was described as "in stock".
This was supposed to be a christmas gift but after few weeks, still haven't arrived...
Few excuses email stating that it's the Covid fault...
Next time, I will by my items from Amazon...

Kitchen Aid processor 7 cup: best price, and best colour offering I could find. Shipping was a bit of a mix up but it was the mfr. And not Cook Store that held up shipping for about a week. Regardless, package came very quickly once shipped, and my wife is more than pleased, which means I am too. Thanks to Customer Service for keeping me updated during the shipping process. That in itself is rare these days. I'll order again from this firm, they deliver on price, selection, shipping, and customer service management.
Placed order October 23. Nov. 5 notified of out of stock item, substituted same day. Still hadn't received order by Dec 9. Told repeatedly that they would "get back to me". Never did. I was patient. They on their own initiative refunded the order despite my being patient and instead of simply filling the order. Why not just fill the order? This refund was clearly a blow-off when I asked to speak to a manager. 8 weeks of nonsense.Do not do business with this company if you really need something.
It took over a month to receive an order of items that were in-stock online. No updates from Cookstore about the fact that one item was backordered, delaying the whole order, until I emailed them several times to ask about the delay. The items finally arrived and were defective (John Boos boards... don't bother with these as the quality is crap) and it's been 2.5 weeks now of me trying to get a return label from Cookstore to send them back. They keep telling me "Don't worry, we'll make this right!" but haven't yet to send along the return labels. It's been a very frustrating process. I won't be shopping with them again.
The only reason I would give this place 1 star is because of their quick response. Other than that, worst experience ever. I don't know from where these items are being shipped, but I've been waiting over 2 months for two different items which I also placed in two separate orders. I understand there can be delays, especially with this pandemic but to have NO update whatsoever is ridiculous. They waited till I messaged them to let me know they're backordered. No estimate time given, nothing. They don't even remove these items from their websites. Not only that, I had to contact them again for them to tell me one of the item is discontinued.

Answer: I am one of those who hates supporting the world wide behemoth online store so randomly bought from this Canadian company. The item I bought was not available in any local retail stores which is still my preference for shopping.(Victorinox - Blue 8" Fibrox Pro Straight Blade Chef Knife). I placed the order, had the confirmation email shortly, item shipped as expected and I had it in a few days. I'd use them again.
