Ordered a present for my husband back in June. It was supposed to arrive within two days. Summer goes on, still no arrival. When I contacted the company they proceeded to tell me that it is not in from their warehouse and they are not sure when it will be in. They still had charged my card, so I was now being charged interest for an item that had not yet shipped. No where on the site did it say that the item was not in stock. When I asked for a refund, they talked me into having 10 dollars back and to wait longer. I agreed. This happened over the next several months. Through Christmas, still did not have the item. In January I asked for a full refund, they gave me $40 less back than the original price I paid. Their argument was that they had given me refunds throughout my wait time of 10 dollars here, 20 dollars there. I only actually received the one 10 and then the total refund minus the 40. Terrible considering I am now out 40 dollars, the wait time, the interest, and the present. The last response (email only) from the company was very snarky and unwelcomed. I do not recommend ordering from them.
Very satisfied with the products. Delivery was a little long but that was because of delays in the delivery service. Overaal a good experience. We'll be buying more from the Cook store in the future.
See a couple months ago for my original ONE STAR review of this SCAM company, but now everyone take note of how magically on Dec 14, all these 5 star reviews appear! Everything else before Dec 14 was one star. Things that make you go HMMMMMMMM... SCAM SCAM SCAM all day. They rip people off and then give themselves a bunch of fake 5 star reviews to boost their ratings. The fact that they put them all on the same day is actually pretty funny and telling of the brain capacity behind this SCAM operation. ZERO STARS would be a more accurate rating for Cookstore.ca. Complete scam. Shipping estimates are down right lies, working with customer service certainly didnt resolve the issue. Stay away from these people and their horrible business practices.

Same as everyone else, told they would ship my order (with delays "due to covid") and it's been over a month now and still nothing, but my card was charged anyways. Horrible business, STAY AWAY!
I bought a Staub rice cooker in mid May and would like to give a negative rating for my first experience at Cook Store. My credit card was charged on May 21 for delivery between 3-6 days, but the parcel was not even shipped out until Jun 11, and I finally received it on Jun 29. There was absolutely no explanation on where my order was, other than COVID 19 being used as the single excuse in their responses to my follow-up inquiries. I've purchased multiple items from OTHER online stores, including similar Staub products, and I've received all my orders within a couple of days except for this one. This made me wonder why Cook Store seemed to be the ONLY business that was impacted by the pandemic?! In their last response to my request to cancel the order and issue a refund, I was told I have to ship the product back at my own cost and no refund will be issued until seven days after they confirm receipt of the return. I would like to warn other potential customers to think twice before you place order, and that your credit card should only be charged upon shipment (which was 3 weeks after my card was charged in this case). It is definitely the worst online shopping experience I've ever had at anywhere. I will never ever buy anything from Cook Store again.

Answer: I am one of those who hates supporting the world wide behemoth online store so randomly bought from this Canadian company. The item I bought was not available in any local retail stores which is still my preference for shopping.(Victorinox - Blue 8" Fibrox Pro Straight Blade Chef Knife). I placed the order, had the confirmation email shortly, item shipped as expected and I had it in a few days. I'd use them again.
