ConsumerLab is my "go to" resource for quality, accurate information. Everything is well researched and I really like the fact that they provide references for you, if you wish to read the studies for yourself. They also update earlier reports when new information/studies become available. The search function makes it easy to find what your looking for. I highly recommend ConsumerLab to anyone looking for a reputable source of information on health and nutrition products.
I have been a member since I don't remember when. I'm happy to know there is place on the internet where I can go to get honest and accurate information about supplements. Not only which are the best but tips on how much is safe to take. As long as I'm around I'll be using them.
Thank you for that nice feedback, Dave!
Dear sirs,
I just wanted to express how pleased I am with the quality of information in your newsletters. This information is available nowhere else as far as I know.
I am very happy to see that you are testing products relevant to health-oriented demographics such as those found in health food stores (like Whole Foods) or
Websites (like I-Herb).
I am happily referring your website to my circle of influence.
I trust in your continued good work.
An enthusiastic subscriber,
I read the peer-reviewed scientific literature whenever I need information on a variety of topics (Google Scholar is a great resource), but it is a time-consuming practice. ConsumerLab does such a superb job summarizing research findings on the topics they cover that I don't feel the need to read the original journal articles myself, which frees up time to focus my own efforts elsewhere. I've subscribed to ConsumerLab for years and am consistently impressed with the quality, reliability, and breadth of the information they provide. Highly recommended.
Thank you for that nice review, Ann. We're glad that you appreciate our work. Thanks for your support.
Consumer Labs is my first stop when researching all supplements and any foodstuff. I base all my choices (and recommendations to family and friends) on their reviews. I am a very healthy, fit 70+ year old who trusts this resource. It's worth the fee to have all their research available to me. Keep up the good work!
Invaluable from the first time I discovered the site. We do not buy any supplement without checking here first.
In addition to the clear and easily accessible chart of test results based on lab analysis of actual samples bought are relevant discussions of issues and research results from credible sources.
CL allows us to discover actual ingredients, including those not mentioned by the manufacturer, the best quality and the best price supplement appropriate for our needs.
When reading about the various water filtering products approx. One year ago I requested that they also test the Clearly Filtered filters. They responded by reciting the Clearly Filtered manufacturer's published data rather than subjecting it to the same tests as the other products mentions. This month they, once again, tested several of the water filters on the market. In their statement they mentioned that several subscribers had requested that they test the Clearly Filtered filters. They once again responded by quoting the company's published data (that we are all capable of reading on our own). This still leaves the conclusion up to the subscribers to determine, which we can do without subscribing.
Being able to find a review of the supplements I'm interested in is almost priceless. Some reviews have saved me money because I find the supplement is useless or because they show I'm paying too much. Finding information based on actual science is difficult even with internet. I will continue to subscribe.
Whenever faced with a medical or health question, or trying to decide between conflicting reports online, I always turn to ConsumerLab.com for their well-researched, timely and comprehensive articles. Not only have I learned (and utilized much of what I've learned), their site has helped to settle many an argument about medical information.
We're glad know that our evidence-based information is helpful to you, Elaine! Thank you for your nice review!
Totally positive: that sums up my experience w/ CL. I admit to getting to a point of TMI which is a good thing. I'd rather see a lot of info available than not enough.
I'll slip this in here: I'd like to see a review of Lion's Mane mushroom powder in the future. I've been using OM brand.
We're glad to have you as a member, Bruce! Thanks for your review. You can always feel free, as can any member, to shoot us suggestions on products that you would like to see tested.
Consumer lab is my go too place for supplements and much more. I feel that I can rely on them to separate the real from the (lots of) fictions and claims as they evaluate everything from a scientific point of view.
We're glad that you are enjoying your membership to ConsumerLab, Peter. Thanks for letting us know.
I have used the Consumerlab site for years when searching for non-biased, void of sales motive, information. The convenience of the search box, where you enter any ailment or supplement, which takes you directly to the information you need is effortless. I don't have time to make sense of lengthy published studies, so very much appreciate the work done for you in summarizing the results of those studies. I also appreciate the fair synopsis added about the reliability of certain studies. I've recommended this site to many people in the health and wellness fields of work as well as friends. They all respond later with a thank you.
Thank you for that nice review, Matt. We're glad that you appreciate our work. Thanks for your support.
I sincerely appreciate the research, information, education and care that Consumer Lab provides its clients. I base my purchases on the reviews and ratings of Consumer Lab. There are too many products on the market that are not what they advertise, contain fillers, inferior or unsafe ingredients. Thank you for your research!
Thank you for your kind words and trust in Consumer Lab, NAT. We're dedicated to providing accurate information and helping you make informed choices. Your support means a lot to us!
I have been a member for at least 10 years. I first found out about your website through Consumer Reports Magazine, which I trust 100%. It's refreshing, along with a sense of security, to know that there are unbiased organizations/companies such as yours. It's all about consumer welfare and protections, and you definitely step up to the plate! Thank you, and keep up with the good work, for it's appreciated!
Thank you very much for sharing that, Linda. We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support.
I appreciate the fact that ConsumerLab reviews products with science not hype. They report on all findings whether pro popular believe or not. Although they rate products it is left for the consumer to decide which product they will use with full (or as close as possible) information. I only wish there were more Canadian products listed.
Thank you very much for sharing that, Sandra. We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support.
I feel I really get my money's worth subscribing to Consumer Lab. All product reviews include information from the most recent scientific literature and studies, so I trust their product recommendations.
Can't recommend. Tried to sign up for the 5-day free trial that the terms stated would not charge my card until after the 5-day trial ended yet they tried to charge my card $59.95 right after I put in my card info and hit Submit. Such a bad business practice to charge you at the start of a "free trial"! Who does that? Luckily my bank automatically declined the charge as suspicious before they could take the money out and it gave me a payment error message. What free trial charges you upfront so you have to ask for your money back within 5 days? This isn't what a FREE TRIAL is and your terms even indicate I shouldn't be charged until after the trial is up!
I appreciate CL because it's an educated resource of information that I can rely on. It is my go-to place for clear answers to many specific questions that help me choose a healthy diet and trustworthy supplements. It's easy to search for and find relevant data. Updates come regularly. I believe that my health is better because I subscribe to and use Consumer Lab. Thank you!
Thank you for that nice review, Bob. We're glad that you appreciate our work. Thanks for your support.
Up to date detailed research on supplements and more. A must for anyone wanting to stay informed on products that effect daily life! My integrated doctor at the Cleveland Clinic Wellness Center used Consumer Lab as her Up to day resource when prescribing supplements.
We're glad to know that both you and your doctor value our information. Thank you for letting us know, Martha!
I rarely buy anything I am going to put in my mouth without first checking ConsumerLab to see if they have tested it. I always look for their testing information and which brands have met their standards. I consider them a valuable resource!
We're glad that you are enjoying your membership to ConsumerLab, Janice. Thanks for letting us know.

Answer: There is no single best supplement or brand. It's best to focus on the type of supplement you are looking for, e.g., multivitamin, fish oil, probiotic, herbal) and read our Product Review for that specific category and see which product is our Top Pick for that category. Here is a list of our current reports: https://www.consumerlab.com/results/
