Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from ConsumerLab.com staff and previous consumers.
Actually there have been some complaints but they are very few - however very easy for Tod to check on it - so he should have done that. They basically were all about billing issues - the free trial. So not stating the business does not offer value but the way you sign up for the free newsletter and it then moves you right into a membership within 5 days - a bit misleading in my estimation. Be sure to read the fine print!
Hi. I signed up for the free trial yesterday. I tried to cancel today but the site does not offer a cancellation option. I called the number provided... the phone rang several times and I eventually got a voice message that sounded as if it was from someone's home and not an actual company. I emailed you guys earlier requesting my cancellation be processed but no response as yet.
Hi - We don't charge every month; just a single charge for a 1-year or 2-year subscription as noted on the page where you joined. We show the calculated cost per month for reference, so you can see that the 2-year subscription is less expensive. If you would like to cancel, please email subscription@consumerlab.com with your name and email and we will process your request (typically within 1-2 business days).
Hi Frank - I believe you are referring to the review of ConsumerLab from 2004 Journal of the Medical Library Association. Our content and website have continued to expanded annually and membership has increased over those 16 years. The current 1-year membership is $47.40, or $78 for 2-years (an 18% savings off the 1-year rate).
Hi Theresa - As noted on our site, we permit subscribers to print a copy of our reports for their personal use, but we do not permit not copying or downloads. If you were somehow able to download content from our site, it is quite possible that it would only work while your membership was current.
There is no single best supplement or brand. It's best to focus on the type of supplement you are looking for, e.g., multivitamin, fish oil, probiotic, herbal) and read our Product Review for that specific category and see which product is our Top Pick for that category. Here is a list of our current reports: https://www.consumerlab.com/results/
