I have been a subscriber to CL for over 5 years and continue to find the information on this site to be both informative and useful. I would not take any supplement without first consulting CL, and their information to support health, wellness, and nutrition is second to none.
For each supplement, ConsumerLab explains the purpose; evaluates the effectiveness, citing specific tests (and noting whether the test was sponsored by the vendor); states for each vendor whether the label is accurate, whether there are any harmful impurities, how well the active ingredients are absorbed, and the cost per serving; lists any adverse interactions with drugs or other supplements; and provides related advice. In a perfect world, they would test every vendor's product; although for reasons of cost, they test only the most popular or important vendors, it is rare that I can't find a ConsumerLab-approved online or in a local store. Only complaint--I sent several Emails (in 2014) to ConsumerLab, but never got a response.
That's a great description of our product reviews, James. Thanks for posting your review. Not sure what happened in 2014, but we do try to respond to all emails.
I have been generally pleased with most of the reviews of products that I have considered using, although sometimes warnings are lacking for individuals with particular medical issues who should not be using these products because of food or drug interaction.
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that our information has been helpful. We do provide information about drug and food interactions in the "Concerns and Cautions" section of every review, but if you believe that important information is missing somewhere, please let us know and, if possible, include the original source of the information so that we can research the issue.
I read the lab reports every time they come out. I save the ones that pertain most to me by marking them unread after reading them and them moving them to a folder I made called Consumer Labs. I save every report but over time when I go back to review them the ones that I marked as unread stand out in my Consumer Lab folder so I can quickly go back to re-read the important ones to me. I also look at the products by brand names to see what is best to purchase
Thank you for that nice feedback, Dave!
Anyone who has ever taken a supplement needs to subscribe to ConsumrLab and find out what they're really getting. I have learned so much from them and can really distinguish between false marketing promises and actual scientific evidence. I love how they test different brands and find out what's REALLY in them. Such a great service they provide for consumers!
Thank you very much for sharing that, JD. We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support.
CL provides crucial evidence-based information. I don't purchase supplements without first consulting CL. It provides the science behind the claims and separates fact from fiction. It provides information on the best dosage unit, warnings about overuse, and whether a product is priced correctly. It allows me to compare "apples to apples" in serving size, ingredients, and cost. It alerts me to contaminated products and those that don't have the listed amount of key ingredients. I depend on CL several times per week, and more frequently when there is a health crisis (or pandemic!) for guidance. The information is up to date and verified by URAC. I am a healthcare provider and I use CL reviews in recommending supplements to clients. In short, I LOVE CL!
Thank you for that amazing review, Elizabeth. We're glad that you appreciate our work. Thanks for your support!
Consumer Lab does a great job of separating fact from fiction in the world of supplements. This is a much needed service as there are so many hucksters in this industry. Just to learn what is in a supplement is a giant step forward but to see an explanation of some of the science and testing of the efficacy of these products is priceless.
Thank you, Richard! That's exactly why we're here.
Consumer Lab is a source of health information that I can trust - a rarity these days. I originally became a member years ago to read reviews and info about supplements, but I continue to learn so much more. In particular, CL has been a reliable resource throughout the COVID crisis. There is always something in the emails that interests me, usually several items. Keep up the good work, Consumer Lab!
Thank you very much for sharing that, Yvette. We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support.
I have been a member for some years now, and I want to say how grateful I am for ConsumerLab. The independent testing that is done has informed so many of my purchases and has helped me make decisions on which supplements to take and at what doses, and so much more. From helping me choose the right cocoa powder to the right calcium for me, ConsumerLab is there having done their independent testing, and I can't begin to tell you how much I rely on that! Thank you sincerely and deeply and please keep up the great work!
Thank you very much for sharing that, Pamela. We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support.
Have enjoyed reading on issues I have had questions. Also has been good to see that our supplements source has had good ratings, which gives peace of mind on their reliability. Highly recommend subscribing.
We're glad that you enjoy ConsumerLab.com. Thank you for posting your comments.
I always check the information and brand reviews on Consumer Labs before buying any supplement or product. I wish more brands would subject their products to your testing. I have suggested this to some brands I trust, but they have not followed through I guess. Wonder if you solicit brands to submit their products for testing? I would recommend reaching out to some reputable online brands.
Thanks for your nice review, Laura. We continue to work hard to provide reliable information. Yes, companies can voluntarily have products go through our testing and review through our Quality Certification Program, for which they pay a testing fee, although the majority of products that we review are ones that we select -- based on input from our readers, like you. As testing is expensive, when companies voluntarily have us test their products, they typically focus on a small number of their popular products.
When purchasing a new supplement I always check ConsumerLab first to learn about the supplement's safety and efficacy. I then check product reviews before deciding which brand and dosage to purchase. Considering that dietary supplements are unregulated I consider ConsumerLab reviews essential reading.
Thank you very much for sharing that, Elizabeth. We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support.
Objective knowledge is very valuable when deciding on which brand of a certain supplement to purchase over a different brand. I have found Consumerlab to be indispensable over the last few years because of the accurate information provided to members.
Thanks David. We're glad that you are enjoying your ConsumerLab membership!
I have been with Consumer Lab for 10+ years. I always consult their findings before purchasing any supplement. They have studies on just about every supplement I've used.
They have pertinent information for me to stay healthy.
Thank you for that nice review, Michael. We're glad that you appreciate our work. Thanks for your support and for being a long-time member.
ConsumerLab is my go-to source for accurate information about supplements and their effectiveness, recommended dosages, potential side effects and comparison shopping. Backed up by US and international studies, their information is the most current and accurate available. The website is easy to use and you can search by product, health condition, key word and more. I wouldn't do without my subscription and recommend it without reservation.
Thank you, Virginia, for posting that nice review and for recommending ConsumerLab.
I find the information provided by Consumer Lab.com to be accurate, trustworthy and timely. I also like the fact, that since I am a subscriber, I can log on anytime and search by topic for research results.

I've had a subscription to Consumer Labs for several years, and will continue to do so.
When checking a new supplement or vitamin, or trying to gauge the effectiveness of an over the counter pill as a preventative measure, there's just too much information, and misinformation out there.
I turn to ConsumerLabs for truthful information and peace of mind
We're glad to have you as a member, Eileen! Thanks for your review
My wife and I have a member for many years since discovering Consumerlabs. We appreciate the testing of supplements but also the research behind taking a supplement and any safety concerns. We also like the updates sent to our E-mail. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much for sharing that, George. We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support.
I enjoy reading reviews and always look to your website for info before purchasing any new supplement, and been using your site for a few years. There are many other supplements that I do not find on your website, and I hope you will expand your reviews to include more.
We're glad to have you as a member, Janice! Thanks for your review. You can always feel free, as can any member, to shoot us suggestions for products that you would like us to review. We love to hear from our customers.

Answer: There is no single best supplement or brand. It's best to focus on the type of supplement you are looking for, e.g., multivitamin, fish oil, probiotic, herbal) and read our Product Review for that specific category and see which product is our Top Pick for that category. Here is a list of our current reports: https://www.consumerlab.com/results/
Answer: Yes, we recently published a new report on turmeric and curcumin supplements as well as turmeric spice (ground root powders) at https://www.consumerlab.com/reviews/turmeric-curcumin-supplements-spice-review/turmeric/
