ConsumerLab.com provides independent test results, reviews, ratings and comparisons of vitamins, supplements, herb and nutrition products to consumers and healthcare providers.
ConsumerLab enjoys a strong reputation among its users, who appreciate the unbiased, detailed information it provides on supplements and health products. Customers frequently highlight the site’s thorough research and reliable testing, which empowers them to make informed decisions about their health. However, some users express frustration with the frequency of email updates and recent login issues related to cookie settings. Additionally, there are requests for broader product reviews, particularly from popular retailers. Overall, while the service is highly valued for its quality and reliability, there are areas for improvement in user experience and communication.

I spend quite a bit of time reading the supplement reviews, email updates and find it's time well spent. I appreciate your service.
I'm happy to have a place to learn. Really like the lectures explaining what various vitamins and supplements do. My family and friends regularly ask me to tell them what I've learned. And what is recommended and the info is valuable! Thank you!
Thank you for your review, Mary. We appreciate your support!
I highly value your research and tell my friends about your publication.
Thank you for your service.
Thank you for that nice review, Hannelore. We're glad that you appreciate our work.
The newsletters are e-mailed and just the right frequency. I open them and read them and then follow the links to changes or new info that I'm interested in. I often use the test results - especially the Top Picks are very helpful. When I'm interested in getting help with a specific health problem, I like that there are articles I can search for; the search applet is good. I also benefit from the comments section and I think it's so great that CL responds to those. My only complaint is that I wish I didn't need to sign in before clicking on a link. Why can't I sign in after clicking and still be taken to that info?
Thank you very much for sharing that, Linda. We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support.
As a member, I'm able to look up products and find which ones are safe and that provide the correct amount of nutrients. Also they give all the information you could possibly need to make a decision on what products to buy
Thank you for that nice feedback, Audrey!
I am glad for this resource to check various products!
I hope you will consider also testing refrigerator water filters in regard to micro plastics and PFAS.
Thank you for your feedback, Kristen. We appreciate your support and are happy that you utilize ConsumerLab to check various products.
I have belonged to ConsumerLab.com for several years and it is so very informative on so many levels for supplements, and health problems. I go to it to find the best rated product I can find, knowing I will be getting all of the main ingredients touted for such and also the safest ingredients. I also appreciate the warnings available in the research so that I can choose what will work best for me and my personal life.
Thank you very much for sharing that, Peg. We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support.
Great info and analysis which helps me make decisions to aid in maintaining my my optimum health
Thank you for that nice feedback, Peter!
I have been a member for quite a few years and have found numerous studies and articles on products that were of importance to me or family. The explanations of how supplements work, why certain vitamins, minerals etc are important and what to watch out for have been so helpful. I can't count the number of times I changed what I was going to do based on research and information I read on the Consumer Lab website.
We're glad that you are enjoying your membership to ConsumerLab, Sue. Thanks for your feedback!
Articles have saved me money by keeping me from buying supplements that provide no efficacy and steering me towards supplements that contain what's listed on the label.
Thank you for that nice review, Tom. We're glad that you appreciate our work. Thanks for your support.
I am scrolling,, scrolling, scrolling only to get tiny segments of info. I can't see a complete assay of any item on one page only (like a label). This means I have to rely on manufacturers labels online. What's the point?
I always read your emails. They help me choose the right supplements for my needs.
We're glad that you enjoy ConsumerLab.com. Thank you for posting your comments.
I rely on CL's reviews of nutritional supplements and ancillary health-related products (such as water- and air- filters) in choosing appropriate porducts for myself and my family--but I have found that in the last couple of years, the brands they choose to review--and update--are not the brands that I have interest in and are most accessible. Further, CL is choosing to 'recycle' reviews more often rather than review new science and new (and promising) supplements. I am not sure whether this is a result of the general, pandemic-related slow down in virtually everything, but after being a member for many years (10+), I'm not sure I'll renew my membership.
I am a pharmacist and creator based in Korea. I find the ConsumerLab website extremely useful for my needs.
However, I have had a somewhat disappointing experience. I attempted to purchase the "2023 Survey of Vitamin and Supplement Users Report" and sent two emails to Lisa Sabin for assistance, but I never received a reply.
I had no other alternatives to turn to for help, so I gave up, but I am still curious as to why this happened.
Despite this issue, I find the overall ConsumerLab website very helpful. Thank you always.
Best,
JangMooHyun
Thank you for your review. We are sorry if we did not get back to you with information about our Survey Report, which is a 170+ page market research report based on consumer perceptions. Lisa Sabin will reach out to you directly for more information about that report. As you may be aware, the Survey Report is different from our Product Reviews, which are available online with a ConsumerLab membership.
Once I'm able to get to the article I'm interested in reading, all is good. Very informative, well- researched, and thorough. I also appreciate the continual updates in yellow highlights. Now here's what needs to be improved. When I receive an email highlighting an interesting article, I click on the link, read a brief summary and then to go to the full article I need to log in. However, after I log in, it doesn't take me back to the article and I have to search for it. It's a huge time waster.
As a decade-long subscriber to ConsumerLabs, I have grown to feel secure that the reviews are comprehensive, totally objective, and comprehensible.
Thank you very much for sharing that, Barry. We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support.
I was so pleased and impressed to hear from Dr. Cooperman himself in response to a recent inquiry. He answered my questions. I love the wealth of knowledge available on the website, and that suggestions are appreciated, encouraged, and welcomed.
Glad that was helpful to you, Sandi. We appreciate good questions -- they continue to push us in new directions -- although, of course, we can't answer all the questions we receive. Tod Cooperman, M.D.
I have been a CL member for many years. Before I buy any product I check CL's site for information. This is such a valuable and reliable resource! I appreciate the unbiased evaluations and the volume of content. I just wishe CL was a news agency!
Thank you for that nice review, Markus. We're glad that you appreciate our work.
Consumer lab is the only resource for independent trustworthy, a supplement reviews. I refer to consumer lab frequently regarding supplement use. However, I have recommended some products be reviewed and have never received a response from consumer lab to my recommendations nor have my recommended products been reviewed.

Answer: There is no single best supplement or brand. It's best to focus on the type of supplement you are looking for, e.g., multivitamin, fish oil, probiotic, herbal) and read our Product Review for that specific category and see which product is our Top Pick for that category. Here is a list of our current reports: https://www.consumerlab.com/results/
