Plan on repeating your self several times over a 30 minute period. You can never talk to an upper level employee. Customer service reps don't understand English and clearly don't understand the testing process. Very painful to call and get answers.
I have a terrible time finding anything needed on this site. Collegeboard has a complete monopoly over everything to do with American public schools, because of that their site tries to encompass everything and is poorly executed. The absolute worst problem though, is that I can't submit my AP Art portfolio. It's as if they don't want me to. I have spent the past two days trying to get through to the point I can submit and be done with them forever. But no, after multiple phone calls and discussions with my AP coordinator as well I'm still no where. I had over a forty minute call with them yesterday to no avail. I tried calling them again today. After ten minutes of waiting and hearing their terrible wait music, they finally pick up. After a half hour of "trouble shooting" (it obviously didn't help), the person goes silent on the other end for fifteen minutes. I finally hear laughing and they hand up. I sat for nearly an hour with no success and even more hatred for Collegeboard.
Horrible piece of garbage website. Whenever they try to fix it, it becomes worse. Hope collegeboard goes to hell as I can't study due to it being with an error 404 90% of the time.
I am a student who uses this website, and my experiance has been either just fine, or abysmal.
To put it simply, a lot of the times I try to watch a video that I need to watch, to complete an assignment, the video won't load.
Sometimes this problem occurs for only one particular video, and it only lasts a day, and sometimes you can't watch any videos for about a week. Either way, this bug prevents me from finishing my classwork on time.
If CollegeBoard is going to charge us $100+ to take a test, then they should at least give us a working website to help us prepare.
I had to register for a new test date since COVID19 cancelled mine. Despite them probably having many people probably trying to reregister, the wait time was much much shorter than I expected. The man who helped me was able to change my test date quickly and without any hassle. It was much easier than I thought it would be and much quicker too.
Genuinely why is this site such garbage? You'd think a borderline monopoly like College Board would be able to allocate some money to making a functioning website (you know, with a decent layout and a login process that doesn't take a good 10 minutes, to name a few aspects... oh, and the constant lag that isn't the fault of my devices)... apparently not...
I've been trying for a while to find out how to setup my exam. I figured I was just being stupid and needed to be pointed in the right direction. I called 2 people from customer service and they both gave me the same script. Had me on hold for several minutes when I asked what seemed to be the most basic question possible. This whole concept just sucks. Neither of the people I called were helpful by any means.
I have had to deal with College Board on several occasions and each one has been equally unhelpful. When I have called, customer service has been rude or cannot answer my questions. Emails have generally also not addressed my concerns fully. I will be extremely grateful when I am no longer forced to deal with them. It is unfortunate that they are the ones dealing with so many parent and students at such a critical juncture. I have only had terrible experiences with them.
If i could give it zero stars I would, the whole website is broken takes me at least 5 minutes to sign in due to it constantly lagging out and clipping also constantly logs you out. Overall terrible, its funny since they literally have computer science courses how about getting the students you overcharge to fix your website.
Collegeboard is a horrible website for learning. Not only do they propose irrational, sky-high prices for standardized test scores, their poor website design and structure makes it extremely difficult to navigate when finding course assignments. The website also crashes very frequently, and I've been either kicked out of assignments or been unable to enter certain pages for hours (or even days). This is unfortunate when near the assignment deadline: whether it is for reviewing or completion purposes, the malfunctioning hinders learning when the entire purpose of the website is to "promote college-readiness." There is rare praise that Collegeboard helps in finding testing centers easily, but this also seems to depend on chance: sometimes Collegeboard will provide genuine help, sometimes Collegeboard will leave you on hold for hours. This is the worst platform we could use, one star seems very generous.
I went through and still am going through an absolutely horrendous ordeal with CollegeBoard. I accidentally placed the wrong birthday on my account and they keep saying "We will send it up to the escalation team" "It is placed as highest priority" "Give us 5-7 business days" "Give us 2-3 Buisness days". It's been three weeks. My exam is two weeks away and everytime I call them this is the only thing they can say. I'm absolutely horrified.
If they're going to have a delay in receiving my scores, they should at least send out an email letting people know… Because of the stupid delay I have to stress about colleges receiving my score on time or pay $31 for rush delivery. And why is it literally so expensive to send scores out. $12 for every college I put on the list? Are you kidding me?
This continues to be the worst website I have ever used. They have done nothing to improve it over the last 5 years! I believe they must make a concerted effort to make this the most user unfriendly site on the planet. How else could it be so terrible? I don't want to teach AP again because of this site. I don't think I can say enough bad things about it. In fact I hope that the AP test is discontinued in the future. I see College Board as nothing more than a money grab. If CB cared about students or their teachers, they would have improved this horrible mess long ago.
I've never been so confused with how to navigate a website. I spent a whole weekend dealing with their customer service to get a payment figured out for an exam. The company is notorious for their terrible business practices. The site crashes way too much and this website is forced to be the standard for how we do college/ap stuff which is dumb.
This is the 2020 zoom of college admissions when we could just go build a service like discord or teams.
When are colleges and universities going to quit requiring this garbage for applicants? Students only take these exams to satisfy the universities. Customer service, both to the test administrators and end users, is terrible. If I could give them a negative score, I would. Where are the genius minds who can find a way to revolutionize the testing world? Please!
They over complicate every single question, make tests nearly impossible to understand or even pass, AP teachers have to curve grades so much for students to have passing grades, and the college credit shouldn't be determined just by one test. College credit should also be based on the grade in the class mixed with a test you can actually understand.
The website works, but good luck signing up for the sat. It worked in march/early April, but now you can't even get to the part where you submit your information. I have tried multiple different links and at different times, but it refuses to work.
I have never had a good experience with this website. Service is AWFUL. Calling their helpline gives you nothing. They don't care about test prep or helping students. They care about money. Id give it a zero if i could.
I requested my scores to be sent to a college for my graduate application, and I even paid an extra $30+ for rush order which was supposed to be sent in 2-4 business days. It has now been over a month and the university has not received anything from them. I have called on about 6 or 7 different occasions throughout this time frame and can't get any answers from customer service. They have told me that they send it to the Escalation Department and that they write a follow-up and that I will receive an email and I never do. I have now missed my application deadline and they have costed me a full semester of college. I wish I could rate them less than 1 star.
All they care about is money. They intentionally archive scores and refuse to keep digital copies. I have ordered SAT scores multiple times with each time being $43 by mail, taking two weeks to arrive. I need these scores for work and the company seems to intentionally avoid making it easy for students to obtain their scores.
Answer: Same here. They are incompetent and just want your money. We have been waiting over 3 weeks for the scores, while others have gotten theirs 5 weeks ago.
