I have two AP test coming up and their website has kicked me out of my account. I have kept up with all of my information and it even acknowledges that. It says that I have updated my account and keeps sending me to the pre-update site. I even tried calling them but they left me on hold so long their office closed and they told me to call tomorrow. By far the worst website setup and customer service I have ever seen.
Had to complete a CSS Collegeboard Profile for my 2 daughters' application to UVA. The site does not have an option for creating 2 CSS profiles. Customer service indicated that I would need to create 2 separate accounts, which involves creating a secondary email address, to bypass their "system", and also to use my last name, as my name, and my name as my last name in the second profile to, also bypass the "system". Not to mention the payment for each separate profile. It's absolutely ridiculous that this organization even exists, and even worse, that some universities require to go through them. Collegeboard CSS: If you want to justify charging money out of college/financial aid applications, at the very least have systems that support that. Your platform is terrible and your customer service is inept and to round it all up! What a Scam!
This was probably the worst testing experience I've had in my life, there weren't any consistent times, and some even overlapped which is absolutely baffling considering they have classes like physics and physics 2 that can be on the same day but they'd rather shove two together and say figure it out on your own. Their own website is so terrible I can't request a makeup for the exam I missed since their own schedule isn't important enough to tell students and they get millions in profit for owning a monopoly and providing the worst service as we are forced to use it. I hope this company falls apart from the inside out leaving all of those invovlved with it penniless and destitute.
Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the siege dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.
Now College Board has moved the AP test registration deadline from March to November to make even more money... because $1.2B is not quite enough! Parents found out today that they have to shell out $400 four months earlier than planned for AP tests. Kids will also have to commit to an expensive exam without being certain it is even worthwhile. These tests are a scam anyway. My son had 40 AP credits, or as I like to think of it, a $1000 investment. He should have entered college as a second-semester sophomore, but the reality is that these credits have no real impact on the number of years spent in college. They still have to take all of the courses vital to their major, and fulfill all of the prerequisites for their higher-level courses. If this year has taught us anything, it is that higher learning has become one big pay-to-play scandal. Shame on you for being part of the problem.
What an unbelievably HORRIBLE company! They are so completely inept. They never sent scores to my daughter's college until paying for them 3 times. Then the same thing happened to my son's scores. Now, I have twins in high school. One twin got his AP score back in July (on the first day). The other twin has STILL not received his score (late August). When I called College Board, after waiting on hold for 24 minutes, they hung up on me. All representatives barely speak English and have no idea of what is going on. I have sent several emails and NO RESPONSE!
Every time I need to use the CollegeBoard for something, I have to Re-confirm my email and create a brand-new username and password. As of currently, I've been needing to get into CollegeBoard so that I can take a college Placement test. I need (of course) to change my password and it asks me to send it my email. I did so, and guess what? :) It can't remember it. It better get its act together because it has to help millions of other college students.
If you only speak English and hope to be able to communicate with their customer service in English - forget it. I spent 20+ minutes on hold followed by a 20+ minute "discussion" with a representative. I put the word "discussion" in quotes because I could only understand about one out of every ten words he spoke. After repeated requests to speak to a supervisor, he said he was going to put me on hold and transfer me to a supervisor. He proceeded to hang up on me. Worst customer service ever.
The website is slow, buggy, and it won't let you into your profile- it makes you verify that you're you by having you retype your password multilpe times. When you do get in, it's hard to navigate. If this is a layer of security based on frustrating people trying to hack into it, it works, but it makes the site pretty much unusable. I've tried to get into my profile to submit my computer science test multiple times on two different days, and so far, it still isn't working- and it isn't just me, it's my whole class and the teacher. Please fix this, it's frustrating and we need to get our projects turned in.
For a website and an organization that has so much sway over my future, they certainly don't seem to give a $#*!. I have never once been able to log in the first try and the night/ weeks before any College Board test are filled with anxious minutes, or HOURS of trying to get the website to work long enough to get the information I need. The College Board does not do its main job well. It is not a good resource for students or teachers, so maybe it just shouldn't exist.

Even the Customer Service is absolutely scummy. I had 2 remaining usages of my fee waiver and I registered for a SAT test but then a few weeks later decided to either cancel the registration or change it to a different date. I called Customer Service for this and they said that I could just not go to the test and it wouldn't affect anything. But then one of my fee waiver usage got used up. $#*!ing scumbags.
I called three times to enquire about SAT subject test information (about changing the listening test that my child has previously registered) and each time I got a different answer. One of them told me I can change the subject test on the test date itself, even after I told him it was a language test with listening. Another said I cannot due to their policy. The third said I can try asking the Proctor on the test day itself to see if I could change to take another listening test. And then one told me the deadline to make changes was 28 October and the other told me the deadline was 22 October (test date is 2 Nov). The last one was worst, she just hang up on me :(( (( Ended up I missed the deadline because of the misinformation and I can't change now. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!
This is the most poorly designed and unusable website ever. I had two days worth of progress deleted even afer i saved it, then i had to wait an hour to get onto the website, (only to be signed out every 5 minutes), and on top of that i submitted my final, yet only 1 of the 3 parts that come with submitting the final were submitted. Abhorrent website and company.
Without even getting into why the college board sucks it is clear to see that they didn't want to spend any money on the website. The greed of this company is obvious, from how they treat students and teachers, to their website which looks like someone who's only experience with websites was formatting a Myspace page. I have to use this website often due to the fact that I am an AP student and am taking my SAT soon and every time I have to log in I feel like I'm fighting for my life.
I applied for a job with the College Board. After a few rounds I was told I was still in the running and that an extended interview was being scheduled. After being ghosted I was then told the position had been filled. Clearly the managing team does not have their ducks in a row. Seems like a very disjointed operation.
This site is a big scam! I lost 80 bucks for no reason. I registered for 3 AP exams last year AP BIO, AP Spanish Lang and AP English Lang (2022) and decided I did not want to take 2 of them, AP English and AP Spanish So I went on to my AP in November to change my yes to "taking the exam" to "not taking the exam" however it did not have the option of "not taking the exam anymore" so I just decided to leave it and payed for the exam that I will be taking promptly. This year (May AP exam month) I was informed that if I needed to exempt my finals and be off of fines list in my school I would need to pay $80 for cancellation fees of the AP exams I did not even take or touch! I am so mad… like literally earning $80 bucks takes so much hard work and time of my life and because of theses stupid monopolies my 80 bucks are wasted like trash.
A basically essential service that you have to complete, you would have thought that it would have been a decently good site. The navigation is hard, nothing ever loads, will take your money but won't give you your purchase
We were unable to attend the first date for SAT testing and wanted to transfer to a later date. We paid for the May date and was advised that we would have to cancel the test. Then the agent advised us there will be a $35 fee to cancel. Instead of just changing the testing date we were charged $35.00 cancel fee then another $60.00 to register for June date and $15.00 for agent to process the registration. Terrible company.
So i'm paying 100 bucks a test yet this website runs slower than a rhino turd. You need to answer say... 10 mcqs for homework? You'll need an hour give or take. Im assigned a 60 question review with 2 45 minute blocks, and I'm getting about 1 mcq in every 5 minutes (seems impossible right?) because the website just won't operate at all. It's just not fair. Half the time the thing freezes and then just logs you out. It's literally impossible to get anything done on this website because your spending at least 5 minutes logging on, and then it's nothing but god's will you can even open up an assignment. The thing also completely takes over the device. I'll be trying to get through some assignment or video on this website at ungodly hours and the website will just randomly go blank for literally forever, where i'll refresh the website and lose all progress. This is the organization bringing us through high school and into college and it is a disgusting scam. Then it'll schedule maintenance breaks which make it so I just cant access the website for an entire day. Maintenance my butt. The only changes on this website i see is that it gets slower and slower. Then we can mention the fact they make you pay to release your own test scores to colleges. Literally no student or teacher would trust this website for their education if they had a choice. This is a vile, disgusting, repulsive wisted website and organization
43 to get scores from just over a year ago sent to a college? Ridiculous! I couldn't afford to pay for rush so I'm not sure my son will get in for fall. We already paid for the SAT it should not cost so much to get scores
Answer: Same here. They are incompetent and just want your money. We have been waiting over 3 weeks for the scores, while others have gotten theirs 5 weeks ago.
