Coinbase

Over two weeks ago, as a newbie I attempted to make a transaction to ICE. Unbeknownst to me that platform is blacklisted by coinbase.My account was frozen and restricted. After many hours of talking with Customer Service to resolve the issue, they repeatedly said that an email would arrive in 4-5 business days. That never happened. Last week I withdrew my finds as much as I could, but there is still a $10.00 balance, This morning I received an email with a single line, no explanation that "Your Coinbase account recovery request is cancelled." even trying to close the account has proved to be impossible so I just deleted the app from my phone. I work in financial security. There is NO WAY that this should have happened. This is a crew of reprobates and incompetents. Avoid this platform.

I figured I was never going to get help from Customer Service, so my son suggested that I should try to enlarge the scanned id that Coinbase kept saying it was unreadable. I enlarged it so much that it was almost the size of my laptop screen and then cut off any white that was outside of the id itself so that it was fairly big in comparison to the actual id and hopefully readable. I tried uploading it again and bingo! It went through. After that the automatic process was fairly quick. In about 24 hours I was able to login.

It is honestly sad that no customer service person ever got back to me. Had someone tried to take the time to figure out what was the problem it would have made my life a lot easier. I figured if everything is alright you should have no problems but if something goes wrong, be prepared to figure it out because you will get no help.

Absolutely horrible. They can legally steal your money and there is not one thing you can do about it. The customer service individuals cannot answer simple questions or maybe they aren't allowed to, I don't know but do not waste your money and time. They do not care about you they are just stealing your money, they need to be investigated, if normal people were behaving this way they put you in prison for fraud.

Be careful when on dashboard, it is not user friendly and confusing. On 07/22/2011 on dashboard trying to review funds and they (Coinbace) withdrew $1000. 00 from my Well Bank. How i discovered this "unauthorizes" purchase was their email. Immediately i called my personal banker, who immediately filed a complaint. There is no human customer support with Coinbase. Worst ever. Like many of the other reviewers here, same issues. They are a total scam and just straight out lie to their customers. I have been with Coinbase for 10 years and have been fully KYC'd. They have my drivers license, social, etc all on file. Suddenly a few days ago, my account was "blocked". I called them and they told me they suspected something fishy was going on because I had $8000 in my account. They locked me out for 24 hours, made me upload a TON of personal information... Then the next day suspended me again. It went on and on for days. I finally got my account back and lost $800!

Total disgrace.

The emails to and from "support" are ridiculous. I simply lost a piece of paper with my 2FA key on it and also lost my authenticator connection on my phone app. There is nothing at all I can do to fix this unless Coinbase disables my 2FA. Everyone else has done it without compromising their security concerns, but Coinbase won't do anything about it at all. So effectively they are holding all my funds forever for no good reason. I know I am not the only person who ever lost their 2FA app and their key at the same time! Does anyone know what I can do to get my money from these people?

I don't know if this is for you but...The platform is easy to use. I admire the interface but they hide behind a mask and take a hold of peoples money. I was down for a few days and opened up to my son. After making some research, we found out you could get your investment back. They are up to all sorts of scammy tricks. I'm currently on a "trading suspended" whilst markets rally. Customer support has taken over a day just to respond to an email regarding this. This was a template email. This is just one major scam they get up to. There are too many to write! Get your money off this exchange! They are going to get investigated, they are guising under the premise of being legitimate company now. They pull all sorts of moves on you to take your money but will not pay you when you're successful in the long run. Screenshot everything, emails, balances anything you can for the ombudsman or financial services watch dogs. It will all come out, I'm sure there are plenty disgruntled employees that will say how they were told to thwart and dupe customers. This exchange is a fraudulent ticking time bomb.

When selling my cryptocurrency and sending my cash to my bank, I was given the option of having it transferred into my bank account or to my debit card. I could have done either one easily. I chose to have the money sent to my bank debit card. There was NO indication that to have my cash sent to my debit card was going to cost me $500, *more than DOUBLE* than sending it to my bank account! I contacted them about this. Their customer service was terrible. No help at all. They basically said tough s***.

I am actually very surprised to see all of the negative reviews about Coinbase. I have had nothing but positive experiences with the app and in trading crypto. It periodically will give you opportunities to learn more about crypto and to earn $$ - since I downloaded the app less than a year ago I have racked up over $50 in free crypto. Yes, there are improvements that I think should be made to the app but overall you can't argue with free crypto rewards! I have been waiting for going on 3 months to get my money back. They have been 'reviewing' why my account was disabled for no apparent reason. I have sent countless emails and still, they are reviewing my account and holding my money. It's too late to ask my bank to get it back, so now I am just waiting for this 'review' process. At this rate, they might keep my money

Send in an order for 1300 dollars and they cancelled it. Said their software detected "high risk" behavior on my account. What the hell?! What kind of response is that? What does that even mean. They didn't even give me a better response. The just said "we're sorry". If they can't give a better reason, it means they don't have one. They are scamming people selectivity. So I waited 2 weeks and tried again. Same thing. Cancelled automatically by their system. And they kept the fees both times! If the btc value changes in a way that doesn't benefit them, they blame you saying a Blakeney statement that you are "high risk" they cancel your order, keep your fee, and they aren't losing anything by cancelling the transaction. They are just keeping thousands of people's fees. They don't even have a phone number! Seriously, STAY AWAY FROM COINBASE!

You will regret the day you ever started with Coinbase.
They are a fraud! They will find a reason to lock you account and not open it.
They will hijack your money, they do not have customer support for coinbase pro.
It took me 3 months to get back on and then they removed my bank and wont let me connect it.
They wont let me sell my crypto.
I would take a loss to get out of it.
I actually need to hire an attorney and sue them. They are a nightmare from hell
