eToro

I opened my eToro account in 2021 and deposited some funds.
Now, when I try to withdraw my earnings, they're refusing to process the withdrawal unless I provide additional documents.
I requested to receive my funds via the same card I used for the deposit or, if that's not possible, through an online wallet—but they won't accommodate that either.
I've tried reaching out to their support by phone, but it's been unhelpful.
Overall, the platform is not recommended, and their customer service is even worse.

I am beyond frustrated with eToro and their absolutely horrible customer service. I initially trusted this platform for trading and investing, but now I deeply regret it.

🚩 My Funds Are Stuck – eToro Won't Let Me Withdraw
I have been trying to withdraw my own money, and eToro refuses to process my withdrawal without any explanation! Every time I try, my request is either delayed, ignored, or rejected without a reason.

I have followed all the proper steps:
My account is fully verified with ID and proof of address.
I have no open trades that would prevent withdrawal.
I have plenty of funds available in my balance.
I have requested withdrawals to the same payment method I used for deposits, as required by eToro.

Yet, despite following every rule, my money is still locked in their platform!

📉 Horrible Customer Support – They Just Ignore You
When I contacted eToro's customer support, I expected some kind of explanation or help. Instead, I got:
Zero transparency – They give generic, copy-paste responses without actually addressing my issue.
No real human support – They force you to submit tickets that they never respond to.
Live chat is a joke – If you even get access to live chat (which is rare), they just tell you to "wait" with no clear resolution.

I've emailed them multiple times, submitted tickets, and tried every possible way to reach them – and they still refuse to help.

EToro is NOT Safe – Do Not Trust Them with Your Money
At this point, I have serious doubts about eToro's legitimacy. A financial platform that refuses to let users access their own funds is a huge red flag. They market themselves as a safe and easy trading platform, but the reality is they trap your money.

It's shocking to see so many other people facing the same issue. Just search online, and you'll find hundreds of complaints about eToro blocking withdrawals, freezing accounts, and ignoring customers.

💰 Possible Fraud? I Will Be Filing a Complaint
If eToro does not release my funds immediately, I will be taking further action:
Filing complaints with financial regulators like the FCA (UK), CySEC (Europe), and any other authorities that oversee their operations.
Posting reviews on every platform to warn other users.
Exploring legal options if necessary.

This company make it quick and easy to deposit your money with them, but the agony starts when you try to withdraw it... then they refuse and ignore months of emails. This seems to be common practice as I have seen this same complaint across the internet now. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Firstly Etoro is excellent with very good asset options available but where i have a problem is in their fees and charges on almost anything. Deposits, withdrawal literally everything plus the long days it takes to complete an abroad transactions. Five working days is hella too much. We are business owners here and that timing is terrible if you have to deliver your ends on an emergency basis. Maybe if i knew this earlier i would have moved my assets to a different wallet but honestly this needs to be worked on

Etoro can login and watch your account be careful. I'll trust them. They are genuine - they are very good to liquid your assets. Something happens more the 100 time, when I sell my assist the price goes high and when I buy the price goes down. Am talking about the futures. Last week I fount 250$ of my assist has lended to some one. I would like to close my account and get my money back.

The process of recovering 779.38$ has become a deep hole with no solution: It started with the following email and then a phone call.
"It concerns an old trading account, which has come in to our recovery department. You have a positive balance of 779.38$‎ that needs to be closed.

Stay away from communication with Steven Ruby, Daniel Miller or Gabriel Fridman. These people are professional scammers. They make everything sound so easy. They will make promises that everything will be fine tomorrow but tomorrow will bring requests for more money in order to have your money released from the blockchain.

I give one star because that's the lowest one shown. My honest rating is minus 10!

After I deposited about ******* euros (I just bought and sent it directly to another wallet) first my deposit was "In Review". After I contacted the support because there was nowhere to do what I should do, data was requested. In addition, many pointless questions were asked: Why do I buy Bitcoin? I WONDER WHY? I register on a crypto platform and buy crypto?!?!?! Criminal! I advise against using eToro. If it wasn't for I couldn't have seen my money back

EToro is a scam. They force you to keep all of your money on their exchange or trapped in their wallet which only has 5 available coins. They are beholden to no one and ripping many people off. Do your own research before you invest with this company.

I would leave no stars if possible. I deposited funds before realising I could not trade the stock I required. It then took 6 emails to customer service, eight weeks and a letter to Financial Conduct Authority to have my money returned (minus £75 in fees for nothing). No telephone number to call and customer service is non existent. Would not recommend.

Bought Ethereum through etoro, now unable to sell due to looping tests. No help available at all from customer services

Importantly, see attached undisputed pictures from eToro account. Furthermore, eToro will respond to a negative review you post but not doing anything about it.

I deposited $5k with eToro and bought and sold Bitcoin. After contacting eToro customer service via the website, linkedin, facebook and twitter, I am still waiting for return of approximately $683 and a $500 promotion. I have filed complaints with the SEC and the FTC.

Ho utilizzato tante piattaforme di trading e posso dire, senza ombra di dubbio, che eToro é decisamente la peggiore. Ed è forse per questo che si fa una pubblicità così martellante e virale. Innanzitutto quando si depositano i soldi sul proprio conto una certa parte viene letteralmente persa a causa delle commissioni di cambio da € a $, dato che il conto è in $ nonostante stia in una banca ubicata a Malta. Ad esempio su *******€ versati ne ho trovati sul conto solo *******. Inoltre molti ETF non si possono nemmeno acquistare su eToro o perché non sono disponibili, o per non specificate ragioni normative o perché la piattaforma stessa impedisce all'investitore di investirci. Non è affatto raro che compaia la scritta "CFD trading é attualmente limitato sul tuo account". Questo accade perché il sistema, a seguito di un questionario tipo MIFID, seleziona quali investitori possono accedere determinati investimenti e quali no. Ma in realtà sono loro a non capire con che tipo di investitori hanno a che fare, in quanto personalmente ho già comprato molti degli etf che loro mi hanno negato di acquistare, su altre piattaforme, ovviamente più serie e che mi hanno consentito di acquistarli. In definitiva eToro é un broker costoso, difficoltosa da utilizzare, che non funge nemmeno da sostituito d'imposta e che permette solo di acquistare una quantità molto limitata di prodotti, e che spesso e volentieri blocca o limita l'operatività degli account degli utenti per motivi futili e pretestuosi

After many successful attempts to verify who I am Via I.D, bank account, phone#, location etc. In efforts to withdraw my coins, ETORO, including the supervisory Staff (Cesar, Val, Roxanne, Sarah, Zayne, and others unidentified) refuses to release my coins. This has been going on for over a month. Would not recommend this exchange due to proof it is built on perpetration/criminality, as their main focus is to steal from their customers as much and as often as possible. B.O.L.O.
