Coinbase

Coinbase must be totally overwhelmed. Queries to the "support" service don't even get assigned to an agent after weeks.

The problem that I am having, is that when using their service to email some bitcoin to someone, if the recipient does not wish to receive them or does not see the incoming email, then Coinbase is not returning the bitcoin to the originating account.

I had seen originally, in their support forums, that they would automatically return the bitcoin to originating account after 30 days, but it looks like they don't have the staff to manage their customers problems, and they don't have the staff to automate their operations properly.

I recommend that anyone who is considering Coinbase to wait until they have fixed their problems and search the net until current customers have their concerns answered. It is very dangerous, in the times of Bitcoin volatility, to use Coinbase until they are able to train an expanded staff.

The owners of Coinbase should be thrown in Effing Jail. A little over a year ago I had an issue with my account. At the time I had a little over 1 bitcoin and some altcoins. I contacted customer service and for safety purposes they locked my account until the issue was cleared. Not long afterwards I contacted customer service about gaining access to my account again. Each time I called the customer service person said it was still being reviewed by their tech support team. This went on for OVER A YEAR. Finally I was granted access only to find that I had half the amount of Bitcoin that I had before. To make it even worse, there is no access to customer service. They remove more than a half of a bitcoin which is currently about $8000 from my account. These are the biggest effing criminals I have ever dealt with.

Repeatedly sought help in the setup and verification of my account, and all I can get is an immediate account deletion, over and over. When trying to figure out the problem, I just get shutdown repeatedly. Customer service does not exist.

Coinbase is a bad example of a trading platform. Firstly, there are the hidden and frankly extortionate fees/commissions (e.g. When depositing funds, buying, selling, withdrawing). Secondly, their customer service is $#*!ing horrible (some stupid robot which can only direct you to their FAQ articles) and when you actually contact a person via email, they are completely incompetent and give no help at all. Thirdly, their financial institution (AS LHV Pank, Estonia) is a bloody disgrace. I made a SEPA transfer to my Coinbase account which never arrived, my bank sent several requests to return the funds but no response and their own customer service team says you should contact Coinbase support as they do not discuss payment details related to Coinbase accounts. Overall, a $#*!ing awful experience and i would advise everyone to stay away from Coinbase.

I have been reaped several times by coinbase but the last one which was 25k was unbearable for me, so I had to file a complaint with their customer care but to no avail. I waited for over two months without a headway until firstintell.com and its amazing team helped me in getting my funds from coinbase.

Once you are hacked they will not give you access back to your account. They will just simply give you a run around each time. They will ask you to wait weeks on end to try the verification process yet again and each stage of the verification process takes weeks on end arbitrarily as a supposed security measure. Once you wait the months needed to complete their verification process you are given a blanket link giving possible reasons as to why you cant trade instead of a concrete reason and with no clear reason given or recourse you are forced to do the verification process yet again after they inevitably reject you.

Do not use this service. They dont send out emails or generally care about your account.

This is rediculous. They have literally locked my account four different times now.

The last time, I was told it was due to a technical error and that it was fixed.

Later I was spammed with emails to "verify my identity" (Was done already). After (I'm not joking) five copy and paste responses from their 'support' team, I finally got someone to take 30 seconds to read the message I sent them. I was told this was an error and my account was unlocked. Now my account is locked again.

If you get an actual email response from them, that isn't a copy and pasted message (that has nothing to do with your message), you should go by a lottery ticket because your luck is astronomical.

If you are just starting out, I would recommend avoiding this company at all costs.

This service is very dangerous. If you make a typo in your transaction your funds are not recoverable. In the instructions it says that any unclaimed funds will be transferred back to the originating account in 30 days. THIS IS NOT TRUE. When you try to contact customer service you will get a canned response. If you email them, they will send a note back a week later telling you that they cannot help. They will just tell you that you should have tried to send a small amount of funds to test the waters before sending any more. This is not a reputable service and you should stay far away if you don't want to be ripped off.

These people are criminals, the manipulate the price of coins for financial gain based on watching what you buy, of course crypto currency is very volatile, but to watch what someone is buying, and manipulate the price based on that is criminal. These people get to do these things because of the huge amount of money they pay the government. This company is truly a scam!

As I read in many reviews I had the same experience. I was not able to withdraw my money and there's no customer service whatsoever. The only one to communicate with in the house is to chat with a dummy...!
