Too bad Clinique products are (in my opinion) the best on the market for skin care. I have been using them for 43 years. However, I would say in the last 8 years their website has gone down the tubes, and their rewards program is laughable. What site gives you something then takes it away if you don't use it? That is just pathetic. The website, it is scarey because it takes forever to load, when it does you have to really watch to make sure it is accurate in your shopping cart. I have shopped and not received my order, until I went to all the trouble of calling them to make a complaint. Oh yeah they made sure I got my order about 2 weeks later and by then I could have gone to the store and picked up what I need. My point is, I am a very busy person. I appreciate the convenience of shopping online just like anyone else, but the Clinique website is awful. Also, when they are having a 25% off sale, OMG if you can even log in you are doing good.

Tip for consumers:
Fix the damn website
Make the rewards program friendlly.
Don't email me threating that my rewards are going to expire.
NOBODY does that!!! and also nobody makes customers buy a product to use the rewards. That is just greedy and not customer friendlly

My sister got me Clinique perfectly happy for my birthday I sprayed it on me and started coughing and gagging smells like a dead dog I only wear a beautiful she is a full-blown pothead so I can understand why she got me this

Order my products online and paid for it. Received my order but only half my order. I had to contact clinique to enquire, just to be informed the product is out of stock, no Email to inform me or anyone contacting me about it.

I will never shop with them again! - good vendor should not rely only on the quality of their products but also give a good service! Especially when the products are expensive!
They did not want to help or showing like they care while I have contacted them few times regarding my return and refund.

The Clinique high impact lash amplifying serum is extremely expensive and it doesn't appear to do anything. I've used it for a month now and my lashes look the same.

The Worst experience 1: I placed an order and try to modify the shipping address or cancel it immediately in a second, but there is no cancel button on the account.
The Worst experience 2: then I immediately chatted online with customer service, and she can't modify the shipping address. She could cancel it. That was good for me. She said I would receive an email soon. After 10 hours, I still didn't receive an email, but even find my order in a warehouse status. What?
The Worst experience 3: Then I called a representative. It took me 10 mins to get a person to answer it and said my order was not canceled successfully. She even couldn't cancel it, luckily she could send a request to cancel it. Then I asked how likely it could be canceled, and she even hung up the phone. Are you kidding?
What an awful customer experience on this planet! Be prepared when you try to use their customer services.

After buying the clinic moisturizer for my face I would have to say that this product was not very good because it burnt my skin even though it was supposed to be sensitive skin ready. My skin is nothing to play with and when something like dramatically different moisturizer create dramatically worse facial appearance that is not ideal for anybody I do not recommend if for sensitive skin or any type.

I have been a Clinique user for years and decided to try the convenience of online ordering! The first time went smoothly but my current order was one of the most frustrating experiences, firstly many specials keep popping up which are difficult to get rid of even if you select X, then the search engine is slow and keeps freezing and also knocks you off the line, so you try again and again. Then you are congratulated on your points, plus 30% spring discount is offered, as soon as you select redeem, the 30% is erased. I don't expect 45% discount but overall if you want customers to use you online facility, make it user friendly and an easy process. This purchase took me more than an hour to hopefully purchase the lines I needed. In addition you are thanked for completing a customer review and rewarded with selecting 4 magazines, only to be requested at the end to pay $8 dollars, really! Suppose the proof is in the results. Let's see if my products actually arrive and are correct

This is my first time using a number of you products and have been using them foe about 2 1/2 months and have not seen any type of change on my face at all. I thought that ok I going go out on a limb and pay more than I every would for facial products and then become very disappointed with the out come. I had bought the products at Bon-ton and at our local Macys that is closing so I can not return anything at Macys so will Bon-ton take back all the items for a refund with receipts?

I just contacted Clinique to return 3 foundations that I received less than a week ago. Their website directs you to an automated chat.
**Note, the chat bots won't notify you that you will be waiting forever without a if no one is available, so you will have to guess on which days and hours an agent will be present. You will just get:"An agent is typing."

After 44 minutes, WITH A LIVE AGENT ENGAGED, I was continually told to retype my zipcode, email, order #, etc. even though I, myself, could simply look above in the chat and see that information, already typed where asked.
How this process took this long, I have no idea. I've returned products to other companies, who simply located the order number and your name and found it easily.

In the end, the agent said an email was sent with a return label. After 25 additional minutes, and no label, I called Clinique by phone. I reached an offshore call center, where the person actually laughed, saying the label would take around two days or so to get to my email box. HUH!? Mmmk.

So now I'll wait. I'd give up if it weren't over $100 worth of makeup. I'm guessing that's how Clinique likes it. They count on folks giving up after too many hoops. I have already ordered new makeup through another company, who are quick with returns and even (Surprise!) include a return request inside the box with your order. Just like in the "olden" days.

I can tell you, we are going to be sincerely bummed out when the brick and mortar stores go away, because I am noticing more companies behaving this way, knowing you have nowhere else to go for products and they can treat you how they like!
And I reeeeaaaaally liked the simplicity of ordering online with terrific return policies. Those days are diminishing fast.

For now, I will look for other companies with good customer service to replace each and every Clinique product I own. This silly review is the last bit of time I will waste on that corporation; I have no more time for this dismissive behavior from companies that should earn my business. They can turn into the McDonald's of cosmetics for all I care. I can and will pay more to be rid of them ;)

WHY O WHY DID YOU DISCONTINUE THE ORIGINAL AIR KISS LIPGLOSS? THE NEW VERSION IS A SHAM WASTE OF TIME THE OLD VERSION WAS WONDERFUL AND I USED IT FOR YEARS. PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS.

I am extremely frustrated. On Nov 28 I placed an order. It accidentally went through without the promo code for 30% off so I immediately called customer service. It took me 45 min to get through, then I spent 55 min on the phone for the woman to tell me her computer wasn't working. I then sent an email. In the meantime I tried live chat. There I spent 1.5 hrs waiting about 20 min between each time the woman responded to me, she got snarky and told me she was working with someone else's problem (then why is she on the line with me?) and after all that she disappeared. So I waited again on live chat. I finally got a man who told me my best bet was to cancel the first order and reorder all my items. This is what I did. He told me he would cancel the original order. I saved the transcript just in case. Then I reordered everything with the promo code.
Today I got an email saying the 'cancelled' order has been shipped. So I called again. This time the woman immediately tells me to just wait and see what I get charged for, since both orders are still pending on my credit card. I asked her to please at least look up the orders. She couldn't even find them. She told me she has no way of knowing and just repeatedly told me to wait and see what happens.
What exactly is customer care for? My first order was obviously never cancelled. And now it looks like I'll recieve them both and have to send it back, assuming I can get hold of someone that will help me.
This entire experience has been maddening.

I have used Clinique all my life and their products are great. Clinique.com has the worst customer service. I've been trying to redeem a gift card for over a year and their website is faulty to where it doesn't take it and tries to bill my credit card instead. I have called about five times about the same issue and there phone agents are not knowledgeable, unprofessional and if they don't have an answer to my question, they hang up.
Today was the last straw! They now are saying they are having system issues and are unable to take the gift cards. What happened the last four times I called? This is daylight robbery!

Clinique.com is the WORST online company. The website blows, customer service is grossly incompetent and their rewards program is a joke! Someone hacked my account and all their service rep could do was recommend changing my password and removing my cc#. I was on the hook for the $200 in products that were ordered and shipped to TX (I lived in CT!). Four months later I decided to give them one more chance, I placed an order and used PayPal for payment, got an email the next day saying "sorry, we can't complete your order, call us". Screw Clinique! It is now my mission to warn others of their incompetence. Stay away from this site and save yourself aggravation!

Save on a road rage! I receive my order of an eye shadow with a finger nail running right through it! Colors on the computer screen does not even come close to the actual ones they have in their stores. The lighting is very poor when you walk into the mall despite them giving you the table lamp and the best they can do is give you a few samples to take home with! You would wish they could get their act right on the spot since these are luxurious cosmetics! However, they are more than happy to take your money and even more to give you the refunds! And then they play it up to win you over!

I placed a significant order on 4/28/21. I had to call back on 4/29 because there was an issue with billing. The rep I was dealing with said she re-issued the SAME EXACT order as the day before, but under a different order #... I was getting several lotions etc in my order and had a BIRTHDAY GIFT coupon as well... About a week later -my order arrives missing 2 of the items. One being the BIRTHDAY gift - the other a day cream. When I called - i was told the day cream was on back order. There was NO COMMUNICATION of this and if I did not call -how would I know? The BIRTHDAY GIFT was an over sight and they were sending it out AGAIN on 4/29. Here it is 5/24 (almost a MONTH later) and still NO Birthday Gift OR Night lotion. This makes me NOT want to deal with this company any further! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I sent an email AGAIN asking about my missing items and was not given any assistance. Told to call to speak to a useless REP.
Happy Birthday to me... NOT!

Unfortunately I had to give at least 1 star because I could not pick 0 stars. I placed an order on 11/11/21 and the next morning 11/12/21 (less than 24 hours after I placed the order) I went to their online chat with a representative feature to see if I could get one of the items changed. Long story short - I accidentally ordered the Clarifying Lotion 3 instead of the Clarifying Lotion 2. I was told that that they could look into this for me. Then I was told that it would be easiest if I canceled the order and then placed another order for exactly what I wanted. I was not told that this was their policy - had I of been immediately told that I would have been more appreciative. Instead I kept getting the run around. I was then passed along to a "Customer Service Specialist" who told me that I should cancel my order and that she would send a return label for the one item that I didn't want. I went through with the cancellation and was given a cancellation number. I checked my back account and initially there was a pending charge then the pending charge was gone which made me think that the order was canceled. On 11/15/21 I saw the money was withdrawn from my account and that it had shipped! I was flabberghasted but thought to myself oh well, I'll keep the 2 items that I want and return the 1 item that I didn't want. On 11/17/21 I went to track the package – Lo and behold it went out for delivery on 11/15/21 and on 11/17/21 it said it was not delivered and was on it's way back the sender! How can this be? They mailed the package, it didn't even try to deliver to me and it was already on it's way back?!?!? Doesn't make any sense. So on 11/17/21 p.m. I called the Customer Care number and spent 45 minutes or so on the phone with a Customer Service Specialist who put me on hold several times. I was telling him how upset I was with this whole process and it doesn't appear as if they try to retain their customers. He asked me what I wanted and I said I would like for them to resend me what I ordered (this time with the correct Clarifying Lotion) and to refund me half the money that I paid. I was placed on hold again and he came back on the phone saying he was going to make me a happy customer. He said what he'll do for me is credit me back the money for the item I didn't want (Clarifying Lotion 3) and then he'd resend the 2 items that I wanted. Again, flabberhasted. I asked him how that's saving me anything as they've already withdrawn the money from my account?!?!?! I don't know what kind of people they're hiring for Customer Service Representatives/Specialists and where they're finding them but this is PATHETIC! This by far is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. He admitted during our conversation that the Customer Service Specialist that I dealt with in the online chat should have sent me a return label for the 1 item I did not want and this wouldn't have been an issue. So I said to him that since you guys made a mistake you should be doing everything to keep me as a customer. For crying out loud – one would think they would say "I'm sorry about this. We're going to send you $50.00 of free samples" or something like that. Clinique includes these as free gifts all the time so it really wouldn't be hurting them any and they would be retaining a customer. After 45 minutes on the phone with the Customer Service Specialist and me trying to tell him what to do to keep me as a customer and him not being able to do or offer anything I told him that I just want my money back. In order to do that I have to wait for the package to get back to them, then they have to process it to ensure all the items are there (which they are cause I never received the package in the first place) then they have to process the return credit/money to my account which could take another 5-10 business days. I WILL NEVER ORDER from CLINIQUE.COM AGAIN! ALL THOSE READING THIS YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED – STAY AWAY FROM CLINIQUE.COM!

I have been a life-long user of Clinique products and was content. Recently, I bought dramatically different moisturizing lotion (pump version). When I first used it, there was an unusual odor - almost like cortisone cream. One morning, upon applying it, my face turned orange. I called customer service and was told something about my reaction or sensitivity. Awaiting some measure/ refund.

A few weeks ago I shopped at the Clinique Counter at Macy's in the Christiana Mall in Newark Delaware. While I don't think that you have to be pretty to work in cosmetics I think that Clinique should have a standard as to how a Clinique Consultant should look and present oneself to the public. I don't mean to be crass but I do think that combing one's hair and putting on an attractive face should be a requirement. How does Clinique expect these consultants to successfully sell their products. I do hope that you will take my comments seriously and raise your standards as to how your consultants should look. On a more positive note let me add that this counter has a saving grace. The consultants name is Beverley and she is top notch. Maybe she can teach other consultants a few things.

This is one of the worst company available online. Any other customers using this companies product then please make sure that the chosen one is good otherwise avoid it. They will waste your time and money. Because this company not consider customers needs and wants. Their products are with high price and poor quality. I have gone through with several review sites to know more about this company but I didn't find good reviews.

Didn't happen right away. Used 3 of the moistorizers every day. Started to burn and gave me a rash. Looked like on one part it was burning a hole. I'm 66 have used loads of products over the years. This never happened. Threw 4 jars in garbage. Alot of money wasted.
Only 1 day after stopping it started to heal.
Must be some sort of chemical that is very bad.
It was also itchy. Please be careful.
Wish I could get the 150 dollars I wasted back.
They have beautiful counters with nice packaging

One week ago last Saturday, I went to a Clinique counter at Nellis Air Force base just outside of Las Vegas, NV. There were 4 consultants standing around talking in a language that was unfamiliar to me. I stood at the 3-step counter for approximately 10 minutes without being approached by one consultant. The woman's name is Mihwa. I asked her about under eye treatment, and which would be the best for me. She tried to sell me other cosmetic products as well as placing cucumbers on my eyes. I told her that was a fallacy. She also told me they do not make commission or receive a discount. It appeared to be more important to her. She did not offer to let me try any of the testers. I worked for Clinique nearly 18 years part-time and would have been let go if I treated a customer that way. In my opinion, their supervisor needs to watch them incognito, and see how they act with customers at their counters. Also, it would be nice if the consultant spoke English so the customer can understand them, and promote Clinique products other than Bobbi Brown, Prescriptives, Bed Bath and Beyond, Origins, plus homemade remedies such as oatmeal. That is the worst experience I have ever had at a Clinique counter.

I tried to cancel an order using their chat feature. I wanted to cancel my old order and place a new order. Their chat representative spent about 20 minutes trying to convince me not to cancel the order before finally "cancelling" the order for me.

A week or so later, I received the package with my cancelled order. When I contacted them as to why I received the cancelled order, I don't get an apology. I had to go out of my way to ship back to them a package I should have never received.

I don't care how good your product is, you lose customers when you provide bad customer service.
