It is impossible to cancel, the link from the cancel page is inactive, and they made me check 100s of photos to prove I'm not a robot, before I even get to the non-existent cancellation page. Trying to cancel now by submitting other unrelated requests as it's the only way to contact them.
I had $79 plan with them for a while, and randomly used.
I had to many over left points, so I booked a manicure and a pedicure at Marina Beauty & Nails Salon.
Salon censed my appointment, without proper notification. But they took me when I arrived, and after job was done they asked for $82, saying they never got money from Class Pass. Between them and Class Pass totally cheating. But class pass didn't offer anything, and they've done nothing about that.
Our business has NO association with ClassPass yet they have posted our business on their site implying that we honor their point discounts. This is clearly unethical and probably illegal as false or misleading advertising yet they have done this with numerous businesses. We have tried to contact ClassPass management to complain but each time we are get passed off to numerous persons who have nothing to do with marketing or advertising and when we try to contact upper management we are told nobody is available. We do not honor ClassPass discounts and refuse service to persons who are so misled. I feel bad for those who have been sucked into this scam.
Immediately started charging me to use the "Free" Pass. Of course no phone number to call, so I had to email them to stop charging me. Three months later and these Scumbags are still hitting my card... Filed a compliant with the BBB today.
Classpass.com and the Classpass app is a FRAUD in all caps. Here are the reasons why it is a fraud:
1. When you install the App, it will surreptitiously read you Apple wallet and you credit/debit card information.
2. It will start charging you a subscription of $79 per month without any information to you, even if you remove the application.
3. The classpass app will give you some free credits for attending workout sessions but these are not free, they are reading your credit card and they will charge you.
4. For some reason even if you don't miss a class, they will sometimes say that you missed a class/appointment and they will charge $20 for that.
5. You will receive no emails, not communications, no agreements.
6. They don't have a phone number.
7. You send them a note through their website and someone will get back to you in 24 hours. Extremely poor.
8. STAY AWAY FROM FRAUD!
Overall the Classpass can be a great deal if you enjoy doing fitness classes. In the Bay Area you can get unlimited classes for a month for $120. Some of the classes on class pass cost over $30 per class, so great deal. There is a big BUT though. You can only take up to 3 classes per month at each site. Also there sites can limit the classes that are offered on Classpass and the number of Classpass members can attend each class.
I joined to try do classes with a friend, but as soon as one of us would sign up, the class would disappear for the other person. The irony is that the cover photo is three friends working out together, however that would NEVER happen as most classes cap as two Classpass people.
I literally just had to go through seven screens to cancel my membership with classpass. I'm not even gonna say why I cancelled my membership, but I will say that it felt almost as bad as having to tell a guy seven times that I don't wanna have sex with him before he just got the message.
Classpass is a total fraud. Recently I signed up for a free trial that only lasted one day before I was informed that they were going to cancel the trial. They said their "fraud" systems detected that I had signed up before and thus was not eligible anymore. But I have NEVER signed up with Classpass before, and even when I informed customer service, their only response was they couldn't check it due to privacy laws and asked me to sign up for a paid membership. Despite me replying several times that there must have been an error, they don't bother.
Stay away from Classpass, all they see is money and have no sincerity to help customers check errors.
At first ClassPass was wonderful allowing my friend and I to visit different workout classes around our city. But after about a month we noticed a HUGE discrepancy in our credits. We would be looking at the same class at the same time and for her would always be just 3 credits while on mine would be 5. When contacted about it, it took 3 days to get a response and that was only through Instagram DM. HORRIBLE customer service. Offering no reasonable explanation for this credit disparity
I signed up for the free trial and thought I cancelled the membership after the initial period. The fact is, they don't accept cancellations! It is a request to cancel that never gets processed. Months later... being billed over $69/month for something I never used... I have actually been paying to participate at gyms covered by my pass because I was sure I had cancelled! I tried to cancel again, and they again refuse to cancel! They told me via chat that they'd refund me, only to write me an email saying they will give me credits! And that my account will remain active, unless I cancel it! This is SO unethical.
1. Charged me in the past cancellation fee for class I attended. I have tried to explain and get studio to confirm but they refused to accept it.
2. I am going for surgery tomorrow hence will need to be out for 2 months the time to recover. I have asked if we could freeze my account and they replied me yes but when I am back tte price of my subscription will be more expensive as they are changing their prices. I ah e explained that I was a long time customer and had referred a few active active people but there was nothing to do they said there is no solution...
3. This last week I went to a class on classpass which was 6 credits and reaching the studio they told me it was a free class as only 15mins...
It is really sad as the model is right but process and customer service is so bad that I am planning to stop it fully. I have seen some comments below mentioning law suit and I agree that it should happen to them as this is not right for customers.
I had done a free trial with class pass over a year ago. The other day I was charged $79. I never received an email about this charge from them. I contacted them to let them know they had charged me and asked the refund my card. They said that I signed up and that is why I was charged. I never signed up for this and if I had why did I not receive any email about this either? They are refusing to refund me the money even though I never touched the account. I will have to dispute the charge with my credit card company now. Worthless company!
I can not believe so many people falling for this scam. They have the most unfair and dishonest cancellation policy. If you cancel your membership they will take back the credits for which your have paid in the past month. They will cancel any appointment you have made which is after your membership end date, even if you have booked the appointment using credits for which you have already paid. I wish I could complain against them in consumer court!
They charge you every month, and the credits you get EXPIRE the next month. They dont send any notifications on charges, and are running a fraudulent subscription service preying on people who don't check their statements. All your money vanishes into their pockets. Please lodge a complaint at https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/ as I have.
I asked for a list of classes offered in my area before providing my credit card information and they said you had to sign up for the trial and provide the cc information first. I said why would I blindly purchase somethign, how do I even know where I would be able to use those credits? They just said sorry in the live chat. Do not sign up, who knows if there are even classes offered on this plan in your area. I declined.
I had a gift card to use - Class Pass insist you create an account including your credit card to use the pre paid gift card. They immediately charged my credit card for one months subscription which I did not want - they refuse to refund the fee - basically they fraudulently take money without permission
This was probably one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. I canceled my account and didn't get to continue access until the end of my billing cycle as stated in the terms and conditions. The rep thought I wanted a refund and I wanted to finish out my billing cycle. They said there was nothing they could do and were really combative. I don't recommend going thru them - I would much rather go thru the gyms themselves and support them directly.
I had signed up with them for a free trial and forgot to cancel my subscription and was charged 39$ a month for a few months. I tried to cancel my subscription but I coudln't until I talked to a customer support representative. After I got confirmation that they cancelled, 2 days later I was charged the full amount for the new month and my subscription was reactivated without my approval.
This place has terrible business practices and they will try to get as much money from you as possible. Stay clear of them. They have bad terms and conditions to their subscriptions.
Please don't register - This company will make you register once and never get out, i.e. keep charging fees but there's no way you can cancel your membership.
The cancellation process will first ask you to change plan, if you choose not to you have to clink on a link that get you to read their Help Centre Q&A on how to cancel your membership. Then it will link you back to your account and you will need to go through the above process again until you can actually contact them on a 'Contact Us' page. However, when you choose your message category to 'cancellation inquiry', you can't even type in message anymore. They will ask you to talk to their stuff from a chatbox on their home page. I've been waiting for their chatbox getting online whole day. It was just online, but only the 'manage my plan' option is available. 'Cancellation Inquiry' is still offline.
This is basically a trap - a company who's confident in their own services will never make the cancellation process this hard.
This company is only about the dollar bills. They don't give a $#*! about customer service and they don't give a $#*! about the studios on their platform. They pay pennies to the people who provide the classes on their system but their membership rate is so low that it's gouging small businesses. So that boutique studio you love with the great community will no longer be once CP gets their claws into their cash drawer.
As a student you sign up hoping for a good selection or variety but what you get are the same classes and class types. Studios are so frustrated with Class Pass that as a member you suffer because the studio doesn't want Class Pass members. Good luck! I hope these guys shrivel up and sink into the dirt.
Answer: I was having a good experience until I tried to change billing date and things got complicated. I was still billed on date I was trying to change was advised I will need to cancel then reactivate account. Even though I was charged it is showing I don't have any credits. I tried chatting and getting this figured out but I am being told I don't have credits even thought I just paid. I tried cancelling several times and its always a chat nightmare,
Answer: Great concept... terrible execution and company. Someone please hurry and make a better company using this concept because the idea was actually quite good but I refuse to give them anymore of my money.
Answer: Oh, it's easy to get a hold of Customer Service but THEY WILL NOT HELP You if you need a refund for an erroneous charge or a mistake ClassPass has made. They'll simply tell you over and over they can't issue any refunds no matter what even if you haven't used a single credit and no physical property has been exchanged.
ClassPass has a rating of 1.1 stars from 245 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with ClassPass most frequently mention customer service, free trial and credit card. ClassPass ranks 77th among Gym sites.
Hi Marion, thanks for getting in touch to share your feedback here. Regarding freezing your membership, we unfortunately are not able to place your account onto a plan with a previous rate. We do apologize for any frustration here, but we do note in our Terms that our plans are subject to availability, and you can view all of our current rates in your Account Settings.
Regarding the incorrect class fee and the class that you had attended that was listed as "free", please do send us an email at https://ClassPass.com/contact with your account email and we would be happy to look into this further for you.
