The watch I ordered was shipped from Germany - through CHRONO24 to me in the US. The watch I first received had defects that they obviously did not know about. I only discovered them with very close scrutiny, but the defects were of a type that I could not live with. I took pictures, and had already filmed a video of my initial unboxing (I do this with all watch shipments to prove the original delivered condition. I highly recommend this extra effort!). I sent them the pictures of the defective watch with an explanation.
The dealer apologized profusely, gave me a discount for shipping it back to them, and then sent me another watch which arrived in perfect condition. AND... they had discounted the watch even further - as a sign of good faith!
Because of the back and forth of international shipping, this process went on for about a month, but the dealer and Chrono24 stayed in constant and reassuring contact with me during the entire process. They continually assured me that they would make everything right. And they did! They did it with respect and understanding, and patience. I really grew to love these guys!

I purchased a watch through Chrono24 using a Trusted Checkout. But the process after that has been beyond frustrating.
The short version is that I bought from a well-reviewed seller in Germany, (I'm in the US), who then slow-rolled my entire post-purchase process. He sent me a faulty $1500 Omega watch. (The watch gets condensation buildup inside the crystal.) Then slow-rolled a warrantied repair. He requested I use FedEx to ship back to him and promised to pay my repair related shipping costs. He took ages to pick up the watch from German customs, then took ages to do the repair. By the time I got the Omega back, months had passed from the original purchase, and on top of this, the problem was not fully resolved.
I have been patient and polite, yet the seller has stopped responding to my messages and clearly knows I have no recourse beyond his own conscience. So long has passed since my purchase that I can not review the seller as Chrono24 has a short window in which to review, which I couldn't do properly until I had a working watch.
I went from being excited about Chrono24 to feeling like it's a huge waste of time and money. I strongly recommend against anyone I know using Chrono24 as it's far too risky to spend significant amounts of money, (my watch which is still not in the promised condition), has now cost me nearly $2000. 00 US). This is a massive level of fraud on the part of the seller and incompetence on the part of Chrono24. Don't take the risk!

Like many watch enthusiasts, I was having trouble getting a Rolex from an AD. I decided to buy a Daytona through Chrono24 since I would likely never get one from an AD no matter how long I waited.
It is great to have a marketplace where members can sort by price and choose to only buy from a local market. This creates competition among sellers especially when buying an unworn watch as there should be essentially no difference besides price.
I was relatively confident in the purchase due to the escrow service, authenticity guarantee and strict monitoring of dealers. Of course I still had some anxiety around making a purchase of that size through an intermediary that was new to me and with a dealer that was also new to me. I am happy to say that everything went well. They go a step beyond just escrowing the funds and actually asked for pictures of my ID and credit card. This process took less than 24 hours and made me feel good about their diligence, which likely is even more significant for dealers.
Since luxury watches are considered part of net worth and I routinely apply for real estate financing, I appreciate that the platform helps members track value. This will help me next time I need to generate a Personal Financial Statement and would also help me liquidate if that was ever the best option.
