I had a simple fix they offered 15% off in there app t that did not work I also was supposed to receive more points and I was on the phone for over a whole hour the phone hung up and nothing was done I had to call back to get this action redone again with the escalation of a collection an app I only lost points but I lost my reservation customer service was horrible that I had to ask for manager to repeat myself twice I lost out in the situation because of something they did not do and because of their issues and their faults when it could have been fixed within the first 15 minutes I don't think that I still have lost or something that is their accountability
Booked our wedding and reception with their Belmont, WI establishment. Booked the venue back in early March 2017 and put down a substantial deposit. When went back in early January 2018 to go over decorations and put another payment down, we were told that our August 11,2018 date would have to be moved to a new date or moved to a new venue completely because corporate office decided to put in new air conditioning units for that date and following weekend (meaning another couple had to move their wedding also). We received no letters or emails explaining why the change and when sent personal letters (3) and numerous emails, got no response. Since moving the date, we have lost a few attendants and many guests because of prior weddings and commitments. Now we lost our photographer and photo booth. And still nothing from the corporate office, not even an apology or a reason for screwing us over. We signed a contract back in March 2017, and would have lost it if we cancelled. How is it that Choice Hotels can break a signed contract and have no repercussions. It seems we the customer are ones that get screwed and they could care less. Never will I stay in a Choice Hotel after this fiasco. Like I said their corporate office is run by a bunch of cowards who didn't have dignancy to at least make an effort to explain what happened and apologize.
My family stayed over a week here. We were amazed how affordable the rates were for such a nice place.
Choice hotels have no none customer service they are rude pigs they are run by rude CEO hotels are leaving them at least 4/5 a day i know a very rich woman who would not allow their CEO to stay at her luxery hotel in Miami do not stay with them or any of their property's there are plenty of other motels to stay at if you complain about them they just blackball you one owner is suing them for running a construction company off they moved to a windham hotel next door
It was good at one time i've seen it go to $#*!.
House keeping is good customer service SUCKS and need to be replaced by responsible people who give a $#*! and are willing to work with the customers the right way.
Booked a room at the Quality Inn in Chandler AZ for 3/23/24. The room was unacceptable, the bathroom sink and counter were falling off the wall. The "queen" bed was a "glorified" double roll-away type of bed.
The front desk staff offered another room, however, the 11-year-old was fearful of this hotel and asked to go somewhere else.
Now, comes trying to get a refund...
First, the staff stated there was nothing wrong with the room and we were a no-show. Several days later the same staff member had pictures of the room that verified the complaints. The front desk manager acknowledged their mistake and promised a full refund of $201.44. Then, the owner, who approved all refunds was on vacation, and as soon as he got back, I would get my refund. Several days later I called, and they were waiting for the owner who should be in town any time now. Today is 5/10/24 and still no refund!
Now for the corporate office incompetency - It is not the job of the complaint department to resolve issues! You get a call center outside the US, staff are well trained to sound sympathetic and eager to assist. I called 4 times and explained in detail my complaint. I had the same rhetoric repeated to me every time. I was told someone would call after 72 hours with an update, never happened! I was told 2 times the hotel would be notified of the complaint, never happened! I found that out on the 3rd call! On the 5th call, I demanded to speak to a manager who told me this department doesn't handle refund complaints! I would have to go to the owner of the hotel!
Seriously! It appears that Choice Hotels hopes complaining customers just give up and go away...
Terrible, terrible excuse for customer service!
When it comes to customer service they have none whatsoever and elderly lady fell and hurt herself in the hospital parking lot they security guard and a employee of the hospital and a lady just sitting inside her car so happens to be a nursing assistant helps the lady in the hotel to make sure she ok and that other lady was trying to get water and Kleenex for the elderly lady and the lady behind the counter a supervisor act like she wasn't concerned about what going on didn't want to give the young lady the water and Kleenex trying to hurry and get rid of her saying come back at noon. Now that was unprofessional people who runs the company in Shreveport on Sanford Ave The Sleep Inn the cooperation need to clear out all those ghetto unprofessional employees who work there no stars from me and will never get anymore of my business until they get professional workers don't deserve any stars
I went to check into a not so Quality Inn in Fresno it was late the hotel was filthy and not well maintained as are most of there properties!
They are total scammers and stole my money. Bad third party site. Do not use. They booked me for the wrong date and then said there was nothing they could do.
I stayed at Econolodge in Salt Lake City in March 2018 and they double charged me. The staff has given me the runaround for five months and my last experience was with a very belligerant clerk that stated that they were refusing to pay me back the double charge portion. Corporate headquarters is also attempting to dismiss me and claiming that the receipt that Econolodge gave me that has the word "adjustment" to Credit Card on it when they made me pay again in cash constitutes actual payment to my account. My bank records clearly show no refund was ever made. Corporate Choice Hotels was also asked to email my bank and simply state that their so-called "receipt" means "refund" and then the bank would take care of it all through their fraud department. Corporate Choice Hotels, parent company of Econolodge, will not do such a simple thing via their email to me and want to redirect me back to the clerks that, in my opinion, stole the money. I also have the manager who double charged me on a three way conference call with my Bank's fraud department a couple of months later where the manager admits on a recorded line that the refund was never made back to my back. Corporate after being told this, has done absolutely nothing to refund my money. This is my experience with Choice Hotels and Econolodge and how I feel about the matter.
I got a job there at the end of 2014 and this is the 3rd time I've worked there doing housekeeping I've always left there on good terms that's why I've worked there 3 times now but the GM has ALWAYS been super fair with me and VERY flexible with my hours and with my personal and home needs with me needing certain days off work and sometimes even days off work last minute! He's ALWAYS worked with me and helped me figure it out the only thing I don't care for is all the talking about other employees drama but that's going to be ANYWHERE you work that's nothing but a whole bunch of women working together every day lol but other than that I love working there
I made an online reservation for one room for two days for a weekend get away. Minutes later I receive a confirmation for three rooms! So I immediately call choice hotels customer service, the gentleman informed me it's a Saturday night and because I prepaid he cannot help so he gave me a number to call back in the morning, I call Sunday morning and the man I spoke with said we show you reserved three rooms, I told him I reserved one an got a confirmation for three an I need this fixed. He called put me on hold and then came back and said the hotel desk clerk was not qualified to fix it, call back tomorrow, So I call back Monday and they are able to look up my reservation yet claim their system is down? Keep in mind I've been stressing for two days and nights about $600.00 worth of reserved rooms I didn't ask for and will not be using, the customer service was terrible, passed around, put on hold, and nobody seems to have an answer, it was clearly their systems fault and so they Shud have been able to fix it. Fortunately, I called the hotel I made the reservation at and they were able to clear it up immediately. However, I will never book through choicehotels.com again and I would not recommend it to anyone.
I have written bad reports on some Choice hotels, but to be fair I have stayed at xome great Choice Hotels. One ix in Florida called Sleep Inn on Ulmerton Rd. In Largo Fl. This Hotel is first class all the way. And another one is the Comfort inn and Suites in Watertown New York also first Class and quite a few more thru out the USA. Enjoy them if your ever in their aera.
I don't even know where to start. On the plus side, they offer a points club for inexpensive hotel stays and can sometimes be a better choice than Motel 6. It was attractive for me for many years because I was on a budget.
On the minus side:
1. A stay in Baltimore with the bed DIRECTLY underneath a leaking roof. Water was literally flowing on to our bed and Choice hotels did NOTHING WHATSOEVER to help us with this despite the fact we reserved on this website.
2. Change of terms (I don't remember being notified) which wiped out my entire balance. I believe their 18-months and you're screwed points policy is the worst in the industry.
3. Incredibly bad stays at their low tier hotels like Rodeway and Econo. Simple is fine. Gross neglect of property and dirty rooms is not fine and I don't think any standards whatsoever are enforced.
4. Completely ignored my request to terminate all relationships with their company. To this day I still receive spam emails and my account remains open. Their customer service is a joke.
I should read review first before booking. Drove more than 3 hours in the evening, and was told NO room AND I prepaid and no cancellation allowed, but due to choice.com mistake, they can do nothing, but refund me, basically this booking is NOT bilateral, it is CUSTOMER ONLY can NOT break contract, but hotel can, so it is just LIMIT CUSTOMER.
NO fair in front of Choice. NO choice.
Choice hotels discriminates against the Military and those that use the military rate when booking a room.
The military and government employees are the only customers that are specifically prohibited from using the Choice Hotels Lowest Price Guarantee program. Even when the price discounts that AAA, AARP and seniors get are the exact same price per room as the Military discount.
Shea was very helpful and friendly. She answered all of our questions and our check in was quick and easy. Will most definitely stay again at this location.
The hotel on 6800 Abercron St

Hotel took my money and when i arrived tired at 10pm to a room paid for in advance the hotel told me my room was rented by mistake to someone else and refused to give my money back
I called choice hotels thinking they would fix the problem but got a non english speaking idiot who said refunds are up to the hotel and choice wont do a thing
This hotel chain is super deceptive and doesnt care about customers
USE ANOTHER HOTEL CHAIN
