Someone paid me through Chime and was told even though I did not have a Chime account I would still get the money, not true. But I did download the Chime app and did see he sent me the money. That is where it ends, I hooked up my bank account to have it transferred, they said it would take 5 days, NOT. When I did a chat with them, they kept saying I would need the card they sent me to get my money quicker ( never asked for money quicker just within the 5 business days it was promised), and it would not arrive for another 2 weeks. The person I was chatting with said I could use some fantasy card (their fantasy) as a temporary card that was attached to my account and of course there was no card attached to my account temporary or otherwise. I could go on with the amount of misinformation I was given during this chat but you get the gist. Of course it would help if the person spoke English, at one point I was so unclear at what they said that I had to rephrase it and confirm that was what they meant to say. I was finally able to pay back the person using the Chime app, since it never left that account and was able to cancel my account. My favorite part of this story is that I later received that said "we regret to inform you that we have made the decision to end our relationship with you at this time. Your Checking Account will be closed' Yes everyone they "decided" to end the already cancelled account.

Could not get my direct deposit off of the Credit Builder Card. I called what I thought was Chime Customer Service. The Rep took $1997.00. They WILL NOT refund my money to me. I am not going to let some stranger have that amount of money! What scares me is that he already had my personal information!

Lost a customer

Chime is scandalous as other banking institutions they will be included in a lawsuit with the merchant. Chime is not good if you have disputes they don't want to give you back what you spent after getting screwed over.

A one star is being to kind they don't deserve even this. These are the most deplorable people. They allow unauthorized transactions same amount same weird vendor multiple transactions one after the other. Their dispute process is a joke!
They have no intentions of helping you recoup the money stolen from your account. STAY AWAY from this clown banking!

Someone else opened an account under my name and I am getting a welcome email of a successful account. The customer service is definitely offshore, and of no help.
Whoever face this similar situation, report this to the 3 credit bureaus immediately.

I generally use cash app. Purse was stolen so I had to order new cards get new phone. Went to install my chime app on new phone. They locked me out. I sent them old id I had. But they won't accept it. So after being robbed chime helped by taking what I had left. So I'm a disabled person on set income. Have my last 100 on the card. Have been broke with no food or my medication thanks to chime. Hell even told them that card is linked to my bank. Just let me transfer my money out. They refused. They are heartless and care NOTHING about their customers. STAY AWAY FROM CHIME. I spoke with 15 people that work for chime they all said same thing. We can't do anything but send it to our higher ups. Well after three days of begging to get my money back. Still broke and hungry. I'll keep at it and let you know how long chimes keeps my money.

Don't Use Their Pay Anyone

So chime says you can send money to Anyone! Not factual! If the person is in your contacts but Doesn't have Chime and You send it, trust me you WONT GET IT BACK! After 30 days and 2 disputes for a transaction of $690 I'm still without My Money and was Denied reimbursement from their so call team!

I had 3 refunds I caught the last one when it was pending the next day it was no longer pending I never got credit for that transaction so when I called chime oh boy did they have a lie for everything they told me three different stories witch none made a liq of sense i have Uber charges for rides I never took everytime I spend a penny I get a notification so if this wasn't a fee just placed on my account I'd see a charge from my card for Uber ride right? They are stealing ppls money!

Chime allowed unauthorized charges to post to my account without any evidence that I made them (I didn't). After haggling with them for 60+ days they responded with a email saying "no billing error occurred". What an outrage. What a bunch of thieves. Do NOT trust Chime with your money. You are guaranteed to get hacked.

My chime card was stolen I called chime to get another card sent out to me and they keep lying and saying they've sent me out a card this been going on a month an a half the supervisor said since I've had so much trouble on receiving the chime card that he'll send the chime card Express mail well he even lied about that it's been lies apon lies apon lies i have traumatic brain injury and 2 types of seizures and they know it and still they treat me like dirt i shure hope they Don't do the same thing to anyone else why im writing this review on chime I don't like liars or business that lies

Worst bank ever

Chime is the worst bank ever! They don't work for you to protect you or your earnings. People can steal from you and they'll take almost 2-3 months to settle a dispute and most times they won't even return the funds. This isn't a bank I'd prefer to anyone as you can easily have your whole bank wiped out and they'd do nothing and the reps aren't as helpful and you can barely understand. Got a lot of fake charges from 'Microsoft', 'Amazon', and etc. and chime would deny every dispute saying the purchases were legit and Reddit has a lot of people piling onto chime saying they have this same problem. I lost a lot of money to fraudulent charges that chime wouldn't refund. So I wouldn't say that they're FDIC insured since my money wasn't protected. Also chime has been hacked many times, I've gotten many emails from them warning of compromised accounts and they're willing to help. The fake charges may have been the compromises and if that's the case they didn't fulfill their promise

Won't help

Last month a person there was helping me and he went in and took $372 I told him not to put it back in he said he would he just had to do that. He has never out it back in. I called the day after it was done and filed a complaint. I gave them his name, phone number and email. They said they could not do anything about it. I called them today and they want to get in my acct again to fix something and I told him he did not need to go in the acct and he hung up on me.

Someone hacked into my cell & then $500 from my bank was withdrawn! Then I received an email from Chime about closing my account, that i never opened! So I'm now trying to get info on this scam account & all Chime can do is give me the runaround! I really feel they are involved in scamming me & my money, because they REFUSE to help me in any way! FRAUD! FRAUD! FRAUD!

Don't trust them

I chime is constantly moving their gold post on almost everything they do one of the major thing is they offer $100 or $150 for you to refer friends over to them definitely not the case I had a friend who referred me she didn't get the money I didn't get the money. I referred another friend I referred one and I didn't get the money and she didn't get the money. They're got 100 excuses why they can't do it, like I say, they're constantly moving the goalposts around him I've asked for deposits where are my deposits my place of business has sent a deposit in they hold those deposits for a couple of days and who's using my money during those days and all of a sudden magically it shows up. Yeah, I can't trust him, they give you the yes attitude everything. Oh yeah so I'm sorry you know I'll let's look into that. Their support team is probably just stupid. I've asked for things they don't read the email and then they answer it back with some question that has nothing to do with what I report ask them to do And I would really be careful with these people. There's no place that you can go in and talk to anybody they're out in California somewhere and half of their agents are from another country. I usually don't have a problem with that but when you're hard when they're hard to understand sorry it's all American here Anyway be very careful with these people.

I needed a replacement debit card mailed to me. I called over 2 weeks ago. They said it would be here on the 10th. This morning I woke up to check my balance and the balance note said my new card would not be arriving till the 19th. This is a huge issue as I need cash to get out of the gas station to put in my car to get to and from work and they're crappy. Paper card that they give you online doesn't work. Don't fall for this Hocus pocus card company. They will leave you high and dry. They will not assist you. They will hold your checks longer than they legally need to and they are absolutely horrible. If I could give them zero stars I would stick with local credit unions and banks do not use this company. They are absolutely horrible. They do not care about their customers and they do not care about service.
