On July of 2023 I had received a notice that someone had gotten into my account and taken my $200 savings out in a wire transfer. I've never used wire transfers and I most definitely didn't authorize it. I called and was transferred 6 times! Each time having to repeat my social security number to strangers! Most of them with screaming kids in the background! Not anyway to conduct business. I finally get on the phone with the dispute department. And the woman argues with me like she's my mother, telling me that I authorized the transaction and that I'm not getting my money back! I work pay check to paycheck and I'm in school full time! That money was for emergencies. How dare you! Not to mention the fact that they canceled my account and won't let me see anything about my old account. Thieves and hackers! I know someone at Chime did this.
My card was stolen and someone use it and they not even honor it saying my money just gone this worst thing ever im switching my deposit today I never heard of anything like this so im just lost out of money where the insurance etc at this is the worst bank ever I never recommend them to no one
For me Chime is the best there is out there! If I need money and don't have it the over draft option saves me and mine everytime. I'm never left without and I'm never penalized for it. The "big banks" need to take from Chime and how they take care of there customers. I won't be change it any other bank, probably ever! If they had banks themselves and found a way to keep doing business the way they do, I would stay with them forever! Tell everyone I know to go with Chime! Like I said, I've never been left without when in need and flan that means something to me! Thank you Chime for doing business they way you do business. It's much appreciated!
I have had and been using time for my direct deposit every month. My spot me has never changed from $20 even though the commercial says you can get up to $200. Like I say it's been over a year that I've been using this card and now that it's about time that my spot me goes up they deactivate my spot me saying that the deposit needs to be over $200 once a month and it is this card and bank is very disappointing and would not recommend to anybody!
Unlike credit card purchases, if you don't receive your item…chime will NOT help you get your money back. DO NOT used chime for any purchases. There are many scammers out there and chime is one of them.
So I was sent money from someone using Chime, I received a text and "claimed" the money and I have an account linked to an email and I can't log in, I can't get a person to help me, customer service just forces me to listen to a promo and then hangs up, I have been dealing with this for 2 weeks as chime keeps my money and makes interest off of it. I cannot get money that belongs to me, chime Wil not allow me access. There is zero help. No wonder it's rated 250 something for banking. It's absolutely garbage
So yesterday I submitted my dispute for $391.02 for transactions I didn't make. About 1 hr later I get a email says my dispute was denied and no error was found. I am upset and will be following up with a manager today. This is ridiculous.
I am thinking about switching banks. Your deposits are never consistent for pay days as well. I usually get paid on Thursday at my job but chime pays me on Tuesdays in which you never know what time you'll get it but expecting my pay this time and depending on it it never came. I don't like depending on when and what time I'll get paid and it's very hard to plan.
Takes to long for direct deposit and if it's first deposit they instantly give you less than half and you have to wait for about 10 days for the full amount especially if it's a paper check or you just opened the account that does not help people that a low income and that is what this bank is supposed to be for!
I just wish That someone will help me understand why after two years I cannot get an account with chime. You guys have totally turned me down time and time again 4 times in the past 2 years. And I think you guys are judgmental and you suck big time. I hear great things about you. However, I cannot get a card from you guys so with that being said to those that have one good for you, and to those of us that are suffering and need a chime account but can't get 1. I feel for us because chime should at least give someone a chance to prove yourself. Worthy or not. But you have yet to do that with me. And for that I despise you.
I am a current banker with Chime and I have been locked out of my account for over a month. When I call customer service they hang up on me after I've sent my Identification card and am being denied by their app can't even update my direct deposit, check and manage my account and my check is currently still being deposited into that account $#*! sucks. This is all I get when I contact them for the last month and when I asked for the number to corporate I got hung up on!
I lost $327.00 using chime and I called their regular customer servicenumber it had to be one of their employees even though they stated adamantly that it could not be possible, I'm moving my direct deposit out and stay in the hell away from these fly by technology companies that offer financial services they are not Banks, don't make the mistake I did here it is Christmas and I'm screwed!
I had)1600 stolen from my account. Filed a dispute and it got denied stating merchant verified no error. There's no question that $1600 was taken out of my account the problem is it wasn't by me. This company is complete BS. I've been waiting almost 3 weeks. No discrimination, but all the reps you speak to are oversees. There's no US number to call. They say they can't assist you. Trying to get my direct deposited early has cost me big time. Oh FYI, they didn't even do that right. PLEASE, PLEASE don't choose this "bank"!
Listen up folks before you bank with these people, considered other banks.

Their own employees Stole My Money and chime had the nerve to not do anything about it. I am on a fixed income they have people working for them that are con artist and they don't want to do anything about it. They stole my money I was not able to pay my rent my car note my electricity. I am getting myself an attorney so I can sue them.
Customer service is non existent. All done by bots that take over 15 minutes to respond expecting customer to sit at screen waiting. Can not reach a human on their published C/S number. There's an old saying that is true, you get what you pay for. You pay nothing, you get nothing. Especially at Chime.
Do not do business with this company! They let a scammer change my name to somebody else, and then they would not send me my money, but they sent it to the scammer! They are so ridiculous. Why would they do that? I'm glad my other bank account was not connected to this one. And my name is not Arriel Stewart! And yes I took the survey! They are so dumb!
Chime is not a safe banking option. They allow their employees to hack into customers account removing their funds and refuse to help and fix the issue. I'm a single mom and they emptied my account and refuse to fix the issue. Do not use this company, go to a credit Union or a real bank. You could be next. God bless
I've been with chime for years, but last night, a scammer got ahold of my chime card numbers and charged 661.96 worth of apple products to my account. I caught it 7 minutes after the transaction, called chime, because the transaction is still pending, they won't help me at all. DO NOT GET CHIME!
I have Chime/Direct Deposit for years now. New members with DD get the 200 spot me. I have called a few times and am told the System does it. This is poor service to those who have been customers for years. Ive seen my son with no credit get DD and the 200 instantly. Me. Nothing. I will be canceling my Chime account.
Answer: Yep! Same here. My entire paycheck was drained, then I filed a dispute and they closed it within hours, denying me of course. Next they decided to close my account out of nowhere, I'm sure bc I wouldn't stop trying to get my money back. I'll be taking this to a lawyer.
