I will never buy anything from this place again. They refused to refund the price of my order that was delivered to my address but was stolen. The customer service representative specifically told me to dispute the charge with my credit card provider because the company would not provide any kind of refund or credit.
Absolutely appalled by the return policy at the Children's Place. We ordered my kid a pair of sandals and, almost immediately, the backstrap broke. We returned them and were issued a refund. Figuring that it was just a random defective pair, we ordered a new pair. And then the backstrap to those broke almost immediately. But the shoes got thrown out (happened at camp) and now the Children's Place won't issue a refund for their defective, crappy product because we can't send the shoes back.
We buy so much clothing from them on an annual basis, but if they value keeping less than $20 over providing decent customer service, then screw them. We can buy the kids clothes from somewhere else.
I had a good experience in 2024 buying basic staples for my toddler. They always have 30% off plus they give you $10 off $20 coupons PLUS $5 off coupons if you have an account. I ended up spending $150 (3 online purchases, 2 were shipped to a nearby store for an additional 20% off, and I bought 2 more cute shirts and shorts in the store). I think I bought 2 years worth of clothes. Each shirt and leggings ended up being about $3, sweatshirts were roughly $7, and dresses/rompers were about $5-6 a piece. I think this was a good deal for my toddler. I'm very happy with my 4 purchases.
Ordered 6 pair of jeans for my daughter. Why they send 6 different packages on different days is beyond me. One pair never came. The other pairs came and I've been charged ten times for said packages. Called and emailed to no avail. Customer service is nonexistent and the service I DID get netted zero results. My card keeps getting charged for ONE order I received WEEKS AGO. No help from them at all and now it's affecting my bill money. Buying pants for my daughter has cost me hundreds of dollars and plenty of aggravation and possibly even more if I don't get that account fixed. Second account that's been compromised dealing with this company. The SECOND! Be advised this company is not on the up and up
The customer service at the location in Hartford CT on Flatbush is so nasty and unprofessional! They were asked to update my info. I get home to try my sons pants on doesn't fit. Go to another store the next size ja huge. So I decided return them. Check my email no receipt! Then the stupid store policy is you can't look up an order with the number nor debit card! Even Walmart allows you to look up a purchase with a debit or credit card. Now I'm stuck on hold for 30 mins and I'm stuck with pants that can't fit! I'll stick with Ralph Lauren and Gap! This cheap pathetic company irritates me everytime I attempt to give them a chance!
I purchased several items, had to return 4-5 that were too large. One of the items I returned was a gold sweater that was roughly $14-15, when they processed the return they gave me a credit for a tshirt that was around $4-5. I emailed about their error, they would not change it. I reported to BBB they still would not change the credit. I offered to send a picture of the tshirt I kept they gave me credit for. POOR Customer service, POOR - TERRIBLE Accounting practices.
I got two sweaters for my 12 year old son. They were each 32.00 dollars. After washing the blue, for the first time, it shrunk significantly. There are no special care instructions for it. It can now fit my 6 year old. I am extremely frustrated about the shrinkage. He got to wear it just one time.
I ordered 50.00 worth of clothes first they sent the items one at a time, they were sent to my neice and 1st she received a pair of socks, that was so embarrassing then a outfit it was ridiculous she got a 6pk of socks so she's thinking that's all I was sending then a week later another item then so on until eventually she got it all. Then I'm sitting at work and my card was getting hit over and over and over. It was crazy, it added up to over a hundred more dollars, I had to leave my desk to find out what was going on and it was Childrens place… I canceled my card and after I got off work I called credit card company and filled a complaint, they ask me to call the company and they were temporarily closed… nothing got resolved through them my credit card company took care of it I went online to see that they were ripping people off left and right.
I will never order from here again. I ordered stuff on August 24th to be delivered August 30th. Here it is September 6th and I still have not received my order of my sons uniform for school. I'm glad I didn't pay for the order to be expedited just to give more money. When I receive this order I will be returning the whole thing for a refund and purchase my sons clothes elsewhere. Super disappointed and never again! Funny that it asks for photos when I haven't even received my package! Added my proof of purchase seriously, however, there ya go.
This is my second time shopping online here. I figured the first time was a one off. I was wrong. Even though they show a week delivery time, it took them over 9 days to even ship my items in 2 cases. They also use Ontrac and that took another 7 days. I get items faster from China via cargo ship.
If you as a company place false information consistently on your website, you will lose the consumer due to violations in trust. I will no longer use this business. Be honest with your ship times! Even at the cost of volume as you will end up losing volume in the end.
I decided to shop online for my daughters school uniforms. Estimated shipping date was the week before school starts. Never again, my tracking status was showing "package not received from sender" therefore was not in transit in the day it was supposed to be delivered. I called (being the concerned parent before school starts) and they refuse to do anything. They said it doesn't matter, I have to wait 10 days to even do anything so basically have to wait for my package to not be delivered to even start a refund request. $200 worth of uniforms……
I would have definitely bought my daughters uniforms elsewhere if I knew I would encounter such horrible, rude customer service. They simply don't care and made it known.

No lo recomiendo, el customer service bien educado pero hice una orden donde me decían paciencia que la orden llega… su orden ya está en la tienda hace días(cosa que no era verdad porque fui y no estaba)… tiene que esperar unos días más…. No te preocupes que si su orden se pierde la volvemos hacer. Me pase más de los 10 días estipulados para recoger la orden en la tienda, tuve la paciencia que me pidieron y cuando decido llamar nuevamente me dicen que desgraciadamente la única solución es cancelar la orden, que me darán unos cupones pero que no me pueden garantizar que sea el mismo precio, lógico, cuando hago la orden nuevamente ya no había la mitad de las cosas. Hablé con un supervisor y por gusto. Que por política y por mi seguridad la orden no se podía reordenar. Tuve que poner una orden por delivery pagando 20 $ para que me llegara más rápido la orden. No recomiendo el servicio por pick up in store. Si necesitan algo urgente vayan directo a la tienda y los precios además son diferentes que hacerlos online. Muy mala experiencia
Worst shopping experience I've ever had and being that this is a place for children you'd think that they are on it, placed an order two weeks ago and still havent received it and school has started but my son has no clothes. I should have read all the reviews before shopping here, but lesson learned, I'll never shop here again, and customer service is robots. Money lost. No help at all
My package says delivered but I never got it. They would not issue a refund or resend. 65 dollars worth of school clothes that I paid for and never got.
Up until yesterday I had zero problems! I placed an order last week and yesterday it said my order was delivered at 3:36 pm and signed for by "D". I have no idea who that is and I don't have my package. I contacted the carrier, they're "investigating". Childrens Place has been no help, I even have an additional "hold amount" on my card. So, no package, no refund, the hold amount puts my account in the negative, and now my son has no backpack for school. And, since they have my account in the negative now I can't even order him a new one.
I ordered clothes for my Great Granddaughter's Birthday, I received a text message that the items had been delivered. I called my Granddaughter to see if she had received the package and she told me no, I forwarded the text I received. Once my Granddaughter had reviewed the Proof of Delivery photo (package sitting on a door mat) she told me she did not have a door mat. My Granddaughter did some investigating and got back to me, she said after looking in her building for the identical door mat in the photo, she went to the buildings either side of her. Yes the delivery was made but to the wrong building, same apartment number. My Granddaughter knocked on the door she explained to the resident what had happened, showed her the Proof of Delivery photo the woman told her to prove she had the package and closed the door in her face. My Granddaughter called the Police and the woman said the same thing to thePolice and closed the door in their face. I called The Children's Place and request a credit or replacement of the items once I explained what had happened. The Children's Place told me to call the Shipper,I called the Shipper and they referred me right back to the Seller. So now nobody wants to be responsible and they keep passing the buck back and forth. I sat on hold for ever with both parties, explained that the delivery went to the wrong building, neither party wanted to help and in the end I was told to take the issue up with the Credit Card Company.
This is probably the worst children's store ever. I'm surprised they're still in business honestly. When you order online, it takes forever to actually get your package. They don't give you tracking updates unless you want to pay an extra $20 for expedited shipping. In store isn't much better as they're usually out of everything, the stores are a mess and their boys clothing is so ugly. Don't waste your time or money, just go to old navy, target or carters. Amazon would actually be better than the children's place.
I had an issue where I did not receive my entire order. They were no help. Once the shipping company claims it's delivered. You better investigate yourself because a refund is out of the question. Very unpleasant experience. Word to the wise...not worth the stress! I couldn't give 0 stars. Why would a large company like this treat their customers so poorly?
