Talk about wonderful people! I've never found a business more friendly, cooperative and considerate. With four rescue dogs and a rescue cat, the best food is mandatory. And dealing with the best people ever makes is a pleasure to get the quality I need. With scheduled shipping I can move the dates I need forward or back depending on the amount of food my furkids consume. Never a problem. I wish the employees all lived next door! I ordered a Kong Cloud inflatable collar for post surgery for my cat. I ordered the wrong size. I called to request an exchange for a smaller size. They processed the request, gave me a complete refund for the collar that was too big, gave me free shipping on the replacement collar AND told me to keep the first collar and donate it to my local Humane Society. Fabulous customer service.

Their prices are very competitive with other sites. Recently, one of my older and loving dogs passed away unexpectedly. She was diabetic and required special food and treats. I'd forgotten to stop the autoship feature on her treats. Her treats were delivered a couple of weeks after she died. I called Chewy.com's customer service line to let them know I'd be returning the treats. The customer service representative refunded my credit card for the full price of the treats and told me to donate the treats to a local shelter. I was shocked & very thankful. The rep was very sweet & thoughtful. Two days later, I received a bouquet of flowers from Chewy and a card offering condolences on the my loss. They really care about their customers and their pets happiness and well being. I highly recommend Chewy.

I have had two contacts with Chewy consultants and the two people I talked with were both courteous & helpful. The Chewy products were received promptly & to date my little dog that has been told that it can eat only hydrolized protein food is eating the food.
The treats are probably her favorite, although she is eating the wet and dry food. I am very happy with the product because I had only one other product provided by my vet that she could eat & she refused it. I Buy them at Petland because I pick out the bags that are the freshest because that is all she will eat, my neighbor told me about chewy and I was a little reluctant at first because like I said she only likes the fresh treats. I came across this site purely by accident and I'm so glad I did! So many online stores are super expensive and too many of their products come from outside of the U.S. I don't like to gamble on my pet's health and Chewy is very clear on their products where they come from. This year instead of the Frontline flea and tick, and the heartworm medication I found their line of natural products and made it through this hot summer just as well and felt much better about what I was putting on and in my dogs system. The good part about that was it didn't cost as much as the poisons I used to buy before doing some research! Besides those products I buy his treats and other items that I see on sale for him. Their shipping is always fast and well packaged. So go ahead and give it a try, I think you'll be as pleasantly surprised as I was!

My favorite "Chewy" story began with me ordering the wrong pet treat size. The problem was that the treat was had to fit with the size toy I bought (see Busy Buddy Jacks). I realized the error after I got it and called immediately to ask for direction. Most places would have encouraged me to send the items back, which would have been pricey. Chewy went a different route, encouraging me to donate it to my local SPCA, and then giving me a credit for the items. Who does that? Really.

Replacement was overnighted without any questions, just an apology. 2nd time I received a product I didn't order. I was even more impressed when I checked the price- it was a $40 item that I could not use, but the recipient really appreciated. I only shop here for pet needs.

I received a coupon in the mail to try Chewy.com. They had in stock the LID cat food, litter and the filters for my 21 year old Emperor power filter. The prices are the best I have seen anywhere and I received the goods delivered for free the next day. This saved me a lot of money and hassle. Now if they would only carry the Cichlid food I use, I could make them my only pet care place.
I live close to their office and telemarketing/service center so I stopped by because I needed to speak with someone regarding an issue and was greeted by one of the most rude and disrespectful receptionist I have ever met. I asked her if I could speak with someone regarding the reason I stopped by and she started to laugh and said NO. She continued to say, In order to speak with someone I need an appointment so email your request to this email address and some one will get back to you. I said, but I am here and I asked her if she could call to see if anyone was available. As you might have guessed, she would not and she said I could not be seen without an appointment. I get the fact that we are all busy, however, you would think if someone takes the time to drive to your place of business, they could at least make an effort to be more service oriented. I am sure when the owners started the company years back they would talk to anyone they could to generate business, unfortunately as you grow, many companies loose what got them there in the first place.

My understanding for returns is any item can be returned, even if it has been used you may return it within 1 year of original purchase. Their Custom Service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. So, if you work odd hours you don't to wait until Customer Service is available.

FYI it is a CONSUMERS RESPONSIBILITY to read those policies as the company already knows their own policies. FYI shipping from the USA to Canada cost customs fees and taxes which are NOT refundable and if you chose to return an item you will will incur these fees again and YOU are responsible for paying for them not the company you do business with. International shipping also requires proper documentation to get packages through customs. Not every USA company has the man power to deal with this enormous amount of work nor do they wish to deal with the headaches involved with shipping outside of the USA. How so many of you Canadians do not know this information is mind boggling.
