So. I use to LOVE chewy. Their prices were always better than the chain stores, they offered a bigger selection, and they would ship the same day i ordered! Well, how do we mess up a great situation? Simple. Do what Chewy did, and sell out to Petsmart. Now that Petsmart owns Chewy, they have raised all of their prices (dry dog food went up $5 a bag, and frozen went up $10 a bag), my most recent order took 4 days to ship, and the customer service reps feel bothered to hear my complaint.
I have be ordering from Chewy.com over a year now since my dog was put on a prescription diet. The prices are reasonable, shipping is fast and customer service is outstanding. Sadly my dog, Buddy G, passed away this weekend and not only was customer service helpful and compassionate to my questions, three days after speaking to a rep on the phone, a lovely floral bouquet was sent to my home in my dog's memory. I ordered a prescription for my dog from Chewy 2 weeks ago and I still don't have it. They've cancelled my order without notification or refund. I have spoken with their Corp offices and supervisors. No one has offered anything for the horrible service I have received from them and now that it can be shipped, I received an email that shipping is taking longer than usual but their working on it!; I pray that my poor dog will be alright until it gets here. Never again!
My account was hacked on the Chewy website on Dec. 1 and I have been trying for 4 days to resolve this issue. I've spoken with 5 different supposed customer service representatives with no follow up on their part. My banks account has been hit with $256 worth of fraudulent charges and now my money is tied up until Chewy decides to give my money back. Merry Christmas to me. Please, consider my frustration before you place any orders with this company. I have been a loyal customer of Chewy until this happened. Never again.
Bought a dog kennel from Chewy's 9/13 and have not received it. Went on customer support spoke to Malcolm S via chat and he said, "it appears the package has been lost". I was frustrated since I need the kennel to keep my dog from eating holes in the walls. Malcolm S apologized and gave me a credit for the kennel and told me I will have it Wednesday. Great customer support and I appreciate Chewy's working with me and not simply saying it is a FedEx's problem. First time shopper at Chewy's but will be buying all products in the future from them. I've been a customer for more than 2 years. Occasionally something I purchase doesn't work out for us. The customer service I received has been professional but friendly. I've received full refunds. They even suggested donating the items to the local shelter. I have recommended this site too many people. The only downside I've seen is the price increases on some of the items I purchase have increased more than I would have expected.
I have been using Chewy for my 4 dogs and 1 cat for over 5 years now. The customer service and how they always make things right continues to surprise me. They go completely above and beyond for customer satisfaction. Recently we had to put down our 12 year old chocolate lab and I had ordered some things for him before he passed so suddenly. I emailed Chewy to let them know I no longer needed the items as we had to put him down and to my surprise, Chewy sent me the nicest response with comforting, understanding and supportive words for our loss. THEN, I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers to my door step the very next day with another wonderful message from the Chewy team. It made me cry and I just feel so happy there are people and businesses like this. Thank you Chewy for all you have done and do for our furbabies!
I have had very good experiences with the people I have dealt with on the phone. They untangled some pretty mixed up orders for me! However, there don't seem to be any discounts for the specialized food that my vet prescribes for my diabetic dog. Even the wt loss/control kibble that is over the counter may be indicated for a discount, but then is not allowed when checking out. Overall, Chewy does a very good job.
Last week my Harley got her wings for for heaven. I called chewy the day she passed because her auto ship came the same day. I spoke to James at customer service and he said they would refund the money but to donate the food. His thoughtfulness was unbelievable and his concern and beautiful words just made me cry in a good way. James you are an amazing and wonderful gentleman. Today 1 week a day later a dozen roses came from Jim and chewy. Words cannot express how grateful I am. Thank you James again and I hope chewy knows what a wonderful man you are.

My little dogs passed away and I had just ordered their treats from Chewy. They were very gracious and allowed me to receive a credit. I would highly recommend Chewy. I have been ordering from them for years and there delivery is always on time and super easy to manage auto ship
Rather than being a great alternative to going to the Pet Store to pick up dog food Chewy has turned into an unreliable resource. However, if you would like to hear excuses for late deliveries you can count on Chewy. The weather, the holidays, FedEx was late are all in their repetoire.
I love Chewy.com. Great customer service, free shipping, excellent way to handle prescriptions. When our senior rescue died this year after I had just bought a huge, expensive bag of food, I contacted them to return it. They credited my account and said to just donate it to a shelter! How wonderful. I'm a Chewy.com fan for life!
This site has everything I need for my pets. So easy to shop. Everything is delivered right to my door. No more carrying heavy bags of dog food and cases of cans home from the pet store. Auto ship is great!
This company is like a part of your family... they really care about your pets! They also send you Christmas cards.(what company does that anymore)... I would give them 100 stars if i could... but 5 is the only option here..
Great prices; fast delivery. Will continue to shop there. People with pets should give it a try. Sometimes I can hardly believe how fast orders get here. I ordered litter one day and it was here on the second day after.
Chewy has always provided excellent customer service. Our Brewser was sick a few years back and they sent a Get Well card. Brewser unfortunately passed this past Tuesday March 9. I needed to call Chewy to cancel our automatic shipping of Browser's food. Chewy sent a beautiful fresh flowers bouquet and sympathy card with a personal message. The kindness and empathy of this company is something that will always be remembered.
I ordered my zuzu some new wet food types and her tummy didn't fair well. The vet said do not feed her the food any more sense it disagreed with her sensitive stomach. So I ordered a batch of her old foods and asked them how to return the other kinds they refunded the whole amount of the purchase that didn't work out and asked that I donate the food to a shelter. They were also extremely prompt to reply, within the hour I got a response. Not only does chewy have fair prices but they truly care. I'll never shop elsewhere due to this interaction.

First of all I am so pleased and impressed with the way I have been treated, as a customer. Every time I order from them, their delivery service and promptness is very impressive. My last order was for a cat tree https://www.chewy.com/frisco-72-inch-cat-tree-large-cream/dp/*******, which I received within three days. The product was very well packaged and the design and the quality is tops. My cats are very pleased with it (they love it) and it took me only 30 minutes to put it together with very easy to follow instructions. A company that serves its customers the way they do, can count on the loyalty and favor of those who order from them... Excellent!
I called to see if I could return some cat food that arrived on auto-order. They refunded my money and said I could donate the food to local animal shelter! How kind! Inspired me to write this review. This company is so easy to work with and we have been pleased with service over the past year. Delivery of pet food right to my door, and at prices cheaper than local pet stores! Highly recommend!
I had been buying cat food from Chewy whenever they had a better price than Amazon, which was about half the time.
I never reached the $49 needed for free shipping, so I paid the $4.95 for 1 to 3 day shipping. All was well.
However, on my last order, they decided to send it FedEx Ground, the slowest shipping service available in the entire USA.
After waiting more than a week for the order to be delivered, I was almost out of cat food. So I ordered from Amazon with 1-day shipping.
I called Chewy to complain and cancel the order. They gave me a partial refund and I assumed it would still get here eventually.
Nope. They recalled the package instead. Then I had to call them to get the rest of my money back.
I'm done with these idiots. What a pain in the $#*!.
Answer: No trouble at all. They have the best customer service/replacement/refund practices I've ever encountered. By all means, contact them again if you're having an issue.
Answer: If you are having trouble returning an item, call Customer Service and ask them to assist you. My understanding for returns is any item can be returned, even if it has been used you may return it within 1 year of original purchase. Their Custom Service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. So, if you work odd hours you don't to wait until Customer Service is available.
Answer: Because they make it a point to lie and deceive their customers... I will NEVER use them again!
Answer: Ever thought of reading the FAQ posted on EVERY SINGLE COMPANIES WEBSITE to answer your own questions? Companies post these FAQ's for a reason. Too bad people are too lazy to read them. Then you scream at the reps you speak to due to your own stupidity levels in NOT READING A COMPANIES POLICIES. FYI it is a CONSUMERS RESPONSIBILITY to read those policies as the company already knows their own policies. FYI shipping from the USA to Canada cost customs fees and taxes which are NOT refundable and if you chose to return an item you will will incur these fees again and YOU are responsible for paying for them not the company you do business with. International shipping also requires proper documentation to get packages through customs. Not every USA company has the man power to deal with this enormous amount of work nor do they wish to deal with the headaches involved with shipping outside of the USA. How so many of you Canadians do not know this information is mind boggling.
