BEWARE These people have a shadow website that does NOT readily and obviously disclose the terms of the trial agreement. To wit: They charge $2.99 for a trial without fully disclosing the terms of the trial in an obvious way and then want to charge you another $4.75 to see what they come up with. After five days they charged me $44+ dollars for a subscriptions, which I cancelled but they will not refund my money. Their advertising and website, not the same one I went to originally BTW, is bogus at best.

Back on Oct 22,2018 I was skip-tracing a Canadian individual who may have moved to the USA. Google came up with a number of search options and 'checkthem.com' was one of them. I was offered a 5 day trial for $1.35 (Canadian) so billed it to my MasterCard. When I tried searching for other people this site wasn't helping because there was no options to search Canadian provinces. I called the customer service line supplied by the website *******722, spoke to a gentleman who explained they didn't have access to Canadian information. I informed him, that being the case, I really had no need for their services. He told me I could continue to use it for the balance of the trial period and that my card would not be charged any further. Unfortunately, either he lied or their system messed up. My MasterCard was billed $60.48(Canadian) 5 days. I have just spoken to a man, "Ruben", at their C/S # who states they have no record of my original contact with the company and thus the subscription fee stands. When I asked to speak to a supervisor this Ruben claims he is the supervisor. I am now left with having to go to the state's licensing department to file a claim and also to try and have my MasterCard account follow up and get my account refunded.

So, my mistake was not checking the reviews before I clicked on this site and used my bank card to order a background report. The first charge was 2.75 and was supposed to be a basic report. There was nothing on the report. But if I paid 19.99 I could get the full report and I admit I fell for it. Again, no report. I tried to cancel before the deadline so I would not get another fee, but no one ever answered the phone and the website link to cancel did not work. Long story short, I went to my bank and disputed the charges. And my bank has changed my account # and issued me a new card so this unscrupulous company cannot keep reaching into my account and taking money. My advice is to stay away from this company!

Started with "free trial" and cancelled immediately. 5 days later was charged $45. Went on and cancelled again, 1 month later charged $45. Called several times and got voicemail stating closed and need to call back during office hour (it was office hours). Finally sent an email stating what happened and requested a refund. I was told I agreed to terms and conditions so I was being charged. I told them I had went on and cancelled twice and still not cancelled. They said "show prof you cancelled ". How the hell do u show prof? I hit the cancel button! I finally was told I would get a refund for one month. We will see.

SCAM! You do the $1 trial. You see that there is nothing that could have been found with a google search. Most of the information provided was not even correct. You click on the close account button. You email customer service. You call and cancel - all within the 5 day trial window. Then, your card is charged $45. No one can be reached via phone. You check the BBB and see that you should have checked there first, because the site is a scam. BEWARE!
And, the bank charges a visa foreign fee, so now I am concerned my info will be everywhere.

This free trial for 5 days is a scam!
I attempted to cancel numerous times during the trial but could not get through on the site.
Then, when I did cancel on the 5th day, they said "no, no you missed this by 1 day", "too bad"
The thing is, the information they provided for the one search I did was not even thorough. And then I got charged nearly $50 dollars for that.
This is a site you need to avoid like the plague!
