CheckPeople.com presents a mixed reputation among its users. On the positive side, many customers appreciate the quality and accuracy of the background checks, citing detailed reports and useful information that can be difficult to find elsewhere. However, significant concerns arise regarding deceptive billing practices, with numerous complaints about unauthorized subscription charges and difficulties in canceling services. Customer service experiences are often criticized for being unresponsive or overly focused on upselling rather than addressing issues. Overall, while some users find value in the service, the prevalent negative feedback highlights a need for greater transparency and improved customer support.

I've often had some issues with some of my neighbors in the past and because I live in a neighborhood that's always changing, I like to know who's moving in. It's always good to know who you're kids will be around
I used check people for one month and it was really helpful in locating old friends. I was able to mail many invitations out because of the detailed information that I received. I was hoping that the trial would have been longer before the full charge.
They trick you into purchasing literally nothing. You don't get a service you don't get information, You don't get a product you get billed and told that there is nothing they can do because you Don't realize you're agreeing to let them charge you an astronomically large amount of money for something whether you receive it or not. And if you cancel your account like most people when they find out they're being charged so much for nothing they then charge you two separate other charges for monitoring even though you have no account and you're getting no reports monitored. They are garbage. Should be put out of business.
I'm in charge of planning our school reunion this year- although it was pushed due to the virus. I used Check People to find everyone from our graduating class and was able to obtain and verify their addresses to send them the physical invitations. Sometimes its hard to make sure you have the right person just with their name on social media, so I use this site to make sure I'm finding the exact match for each individual. It really helped me to speed up my process while making sure I was finding all the accurate people I was looking for.
They literally stole $29.16 from my account which put me over drawn. So technically they stole $64.00. I called the first time to cancel service and an auto voice told me to go online. I called again and they claimed that they did not take the money and they refused to reimburse me. DON'T TRUST THEM!
New neighbours just moved in and they seem to be a bit strange. I used check people to look them up to make sure everything was legitimate with them. The search was accurate and reassuring. I guess I'm just nosey, but I like to know as much as I can about the people living so close to me, especially because I have young children. I'll keep my subscription to look up other individuals of interest.
I use Check People to look up individuals online before meeting up with them. Although online dating during a pandemic isn't ideal, I also don't want to be meeting up with psychopaths. Check People gives me the reassurance I need that who I'm chatting with and potentially meeting up with is the same person and I'll be safe meeting them. A lot of people I know who use online dating platforms also use Check People so that we know in advance who and what to expect on our meets.
Although you have to call and cancel the subscription if you want to stop using the service, check people was a pretty easy to use background checker.
They said that it was going to be a dollar then it was 2.33 so I call and canceled it before they charged me more well I never said it was ok to charge me 6. Something NEVER DID I SAY OK TO 6.and something THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY AND TURN IT AROUND TO MAKE YOU THINK YOU SEID IT THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE PUT OUT OFF BUSINESS I SAW WHAT THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU GAVE THEM A F for Fail HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LOOK BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU DID TRY TO SHUT THEM DOWN!
Check people made the process of getting a background check really effortless. We've used them for a few months now and only have positive things to say about the service and efficiency of the data.
This site is a scam. I signed up for one dollar and ended up with a 30 dollar charge. I called, because that's the only way to supposedly reach them. It was a woman and there was a baby crying in the background. I told her that what was going on was dishonest and she was going to refund my money and cancel the account or I was going to report fraud on my bank account. After offering a ton of discounts (I no longer trust you so what makes you think I want to give you any money at all?) she asked why I was using the service (I lied because it's none of her business) and then the refund was in my account as soon as I got off of the phone. A few days later, the end of the month, I saw a 1 dollar charge from them on my account. So I called and (surprise) didn't get through (don't do the call-back option). So then I replied to the account confirmation email, which worked and put in a support ticket. Waiting the 24 hours for them to get back to me. The email they don't want you to know about is *******@checkpeople.com if anyone needs it.
Roommate hunting is the worst! You can read a good letter or check someone out on Facebook as much as you can and still they end up weird. I use Check People to really understand who is contacting me before having to meet them. I can learn so much information about them first and then filter through their applications.
I'm in the process of trying to find an apartment and roommate on campus and it's very hard to trust who you're speaking to on the phone or over the internet. Check People is great to go through possible prospects ahead of time. I find results to be very detailed and gives me exactly what I'm looking for. Then when I meet with these people, I can verify that they're telling me the truth and I have the reassurance I need to make my decision. Another student I know suggested I use this site and I'm really happy I did. I'll use it again in the future for sure.
My fiance and I are planning on sending our wedding invitations out soon and we didn't want to bother everyone for their addresses so we signed up for Check People which I had read about on a wedding blog. We're so happy we did! Their website is so easy to use and once you simply search a person's name and enter a bit of information you have on them, you can really find everything you need to know! This just simplified our lives sooo much because who has time to message everyone by text or messenger and wait for them to get back to you with their address and stuff?! We just sat down one night and looked everyone up and were able to mail out our invitations the very next day! All brides and grooms should use this site to simplify your wedding planning process.
I purchased a trial subscription to find addresses of former classmates for our 50 year class reunion. I did not find everyone that I was looking for but it was helpful in locating 7 peopIe. It was easy to cancel afterwards and had no issues.
I'm new to this campus and I'm staying with a friend for now but am going to start interviewing possible roommates soon. I'm always about meeting up with a stranger at Starbucks, so I started to use Check People to search the person first to be sure I knew all I could find out about them in advance. I always look them up n Facebook or Instagram first, but Check People gives you so much more information in advance that I can filter out anyone I don't need to go meet. Saves me a lot of time and wasted energy meeting up with people I could have ignored based on their results. Would suggest this site to anyone looking up anyone.
The service is super detailed and gives very accurate results. I use this almost daily and have never been let down. Fast and efficient and easy to use for even the less internet competent people lol. Very basic search and the results come back very quickly and very detailed. Tried it on a few people I know to make sure the results were good, and they are.
This site is very easy to navigate and use. I've tried different websites and this is really want sets it apart. I use this site often because I buy and sell second hand cars. Sometimes the deals I find are too good to be true so I use Check People to be sure the person I'm dealing with is legit and everything he or she says is truthful. The results give me the peace of mind I look for in determining if the sale is going to be worth it or not to meet up with people ahead of time. Both buyers and sellers can be looked up and I'm definitely going to be keeping this account due to the ease of their site as well as the accurate and quick results it provides.
I've used Check People several times to look up people before meeting them to interview them as new a possible new roommate. I use all social media sites too, but I feel like Check People give you more details than you can find all in one place and through a very fast search. Because I wanna filter through roommate applications, this helps me do a quick and very detailed check so I don't have to spend hours searching online first.
My wife and I shop at a lot of garage sales and then resell on Facebook marketplace and craigslist. I usually go on most of the sales with her, but when I can't make it, I always have her use Check People's site first to look up who she's going to meet. It gives me peace of mind knowing that we know a whole lot more about the person first before we go meet with a complete stranger. The results are detailed and seemingly pretty accurate.
Answer: Scam! Beware, they will drain your bank before you even have a chance to notice!
Answer: I had to cancel my card with my bank and file 3 claims before I got $4.33 back. But, Check people will say they didn't take it and say that you have to do a 3 way call for them to verify. I don't know about you, but I'm a complete idiot when it comes to technology.
Answer: BECAUSE THIS COMPANY WILL RIP YOU OFF! CALL YOUR CARD HOLDER IMMEDIATELY AND STOP PAYMENT!
Answer: Report them to the FCC. I did. They say they'll charge you one amount, then go nuts on your card.
