CheckPeople.com presents a mixed reputation among its users. On the positive side, many customers appreciate the quality and accuracy of the background checks, citing detailed reports and useful information that can be difficult to find elsewhere. However, significant concerns arise regarding deceptive billing practices, with numerous complaints about unauthorized subscription charges and difficulties in canceling services. Customer service experiences are often criticized for being unresponsive or overly focused on upselling rather than addressing issues. Overall, while some users find value in the service, the prevalent negative feedback highlights a need for greater transparency and improved customer support.

I have used similar sites before to look up new tenants and nothing I got was as detailed as the information Check People provides. Very satisfied with this service
Thank you Check People for helping me find my cousin! The information I was given was exactly what I needed to track her down!
A friend of mine told me about doing background checks on potential roommates and it has helped me.
Stay away from this useless company that commits fraud with customers. I was not on this for 1 day. Only signed up for $1 which was charged an additional 7 dollars for so called pdf services that I never saw either. Their customer service which i called 2xs does nothing to stop the fraud of unauthorized costs.
Signed up for trial for $1 and was immediately charged $29 with no warning or indication that this was a auto renewal monthly charge. Had to call and cancel and while talking to them another $2.33 hit my credit card. Supposedly for A PDF download that I never got. Stay away.
Sending wedding invitations to old friends made easy thanks to check people. Used check people to find their addresses.
There's always something needed done around the house and a lot of it I can't do on my own. I look for people to come and fix things for me and because I'm on a budget, I don't use big companies. Craigslist is often my way to go but I want to get some info on the person I'm letting into my house first, so Check People is great for that.
Great tool to find information on my ex-wife's new boyfriend because my children are going to be living with him now. I got detailed information right away and it was totally worth the cost. Thanks
I've used other paying sites before for background checks and I always found I'd be scrolling forever to find what I was looking for. This isn't the case with Check People.
I canceled right away and I was charged $29 for a one dollar trial after I had that straightened out they now continue to charge me $2.33 repeatedly do not get involved with this place unethical practices and overcharging for services you never asked for
I've had bad luck with roommates in the past and i tried checkpeople to get an idea of who I'm dealing with before I meet them. Information was often good but like all these tools sometimes not complete
I join a lot of groups on Facebook and sometimes people don't put all their information. I use the website to get their addresses so I can stay in touch and send them holiday cards.
I don't always trust everyone I meet online, and this just seemed like the smartest step for me to take before meeting them in person. It allows me to filter through all the weirdos.
With so many local businesses popping up lately, I want to know who exactly I'm dealing with. The site gave me tons of detailed information and was user friendly
I use a lot of freelancers and before I choose anyone, I want to make sure I've got all the right info. Doing information lookups was super easy and results were very detailed
I was satisfied with the service I received and the information. Although these tools are never fully accurate it definitely helped me identify where a friend of mine lives.
This is the worst company l. Don't waste your time. I paid the $1.00 and all I received was my phone
Number. If you pay $2.33 a week you get your address. I called their 1-899 number and spoke to a Rubin Gutierrez who assured me my 2.33 would be returned and for my trouble in 2 hrs I would receive a link for a free background check. Never received that and the next morning I checked my bank not only did they take out the 2.33 I never received a background check. Free of charge because of my trouble with them. I called next day spoke with a supervisor Christine in the Orlando FL scam office and she pretty much said too bad. I called my bank and they are putting this through the fraud division.
All I can say is Buyer Beware. A Major Scam Company.
I used Checkpeople to all potential prospects for my condo I'm renting out. I want to be able to trust the person living in my space so this site made it super easy for me to find out everything I needed to know.
Answer: Scam! Beware, they will drain your bank before you even have a chance to notice!
Answer: I had to cancel my card with my bank and file 3 claims before I got $4.33 back. But, Check people will say they didn't take it and say that you have to do a 3 way call for them to verify. I don't know about you, but I'm a complete idiot when it comes to technology.
Answer: BECAUSE THIS COMPANY WILL RIP YOU OFF! CALL YOUR CARD HOLDER IMMEDIATELY AND STOP PAYMENT!
Answer: Report them to the FCC. I did. They say they'll charge you one amount, then go nuts on your card.
