The company has established a strong reputation for its user-friendly platform and competitive pricing, with many customers praising the efficiency of the booking process and the helpfulness of customer service representatives. However, some concerns have been raised regarding communication issues, particularly related to flight changes and refunds, leading to frustration among users. While the majority of feedback highlights a positive experience, instances of delayed support and difficulties in correcting booking errors suggest areas for improvement. Overall, the company is viewed as a reliable option for budget-conscious travelers, yet it must enhance its customer service responsiveness.

My husband and I booked our vacation to Santorini and cheapoair was the lowest rate and the most user friendly site. Everything went flawlessly. We were able to book a variety of things to do with our package: flights, transportation, sunset cruise and hotel! It was perfect!
They helped me all thru the booking process, very professional and. Courtesy, love. Working with them...
I use the internet to buy almost anything. I especially use it to book trips for my family. I am the unofficial travel agent so to speak. I have gone through many of the travel sites and I regularly return to Cheapoair because the site is user friendly and the prices are generally the cheapest I find. I suggest everyone try the website for the best prices. The only way this site could improve is by lowering the prices even further. I mean everyone loves a good deal, but we fall over ourselves for great ones.
They use cheap airlines. On my case, the contracted airlines continued changing the schedule until my flight collided with my next flight. I had to buy another expensive flight and cancel the previous one. I have not received any satisfactory response from this virtual agency despite of calling them several times. They are a joke. Never more. I do not recommend this company to anybody, unless I wish him/her a very bad client experience.
This is the information that I have been claiming for already 8 months.

I have used Cheapoair for flight bookings before. They had reasonable prices and I was happy. I was a big fan of the site.
Recently their customer service has gone down very rapidly. Especially for their Vacation Package deals. Their customer service has a Hotel & Car dept. and a Flight dept. None of those people can help you out with any issues with a Vacation Package booking. I was given wrong information about my booking by Cheapoair and have spent more than 8 hours on the phone trying to sort it out. Because this is a Vacation package, no one has any idea how to help me out. Their Hotel customer service transfers me to their Flight customer service and their Flight dept. transfers me back to their Hotels dept. I still haven't been able to talk to someone who can resolve my issue.
This has happened to me recently in other cases. Recently I had to cancel a flight booking (more than 3 days in advance) because of a genuine visa problem (not under my control). One of their agents literally told me that he was doing a favor on me by giving me back a partial refund. He said "ideally" I shouldn't even get a refund!
This is the worst customer service experience I've had in my life. I am never going to use CheapOAir again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It was a good site and has gone down to nothing recently. I would gladly pay up to 10% more price on other more trustworthy sites because this is simply a complete waste of my time.
I tried to book a flight and after enterin in all my payment details and clicking submit, I got a pop up saying the flight was no longer available. 5 minutes later i received a call (a US number) to tell me a booking of 12 people just cancelled and that i can now have the flight i wanted if i provided my credit card details again over the phone? I asked if this could be done over the website instead and was told i couldn't it had to be over the phone. Very dodgy and just didn't feel right. Hopefully the details on the website i provided during my booking won't be used fraudulently but i am a little worried. Would recommend not to use this website.
After trying to book several flights I can to the conclusion this a bait and switch operation. Every flight I looked at was never available at their listed fare, yet when I went on Expedia or the airlines website, I was able to get the lower price. Will never use them again!
I asked to speak with another rep and I was hung up on. The representative who took my call was rude and I no longer wanted to speak with them. Then I was hung up on.
I have tried several flights with CheapOair through Travel Supermarket this week. Initially they are by far the cheapest. Every time I have got through to the site there is a message saying the price has gone up. Their policy is just to get you in and some people will book thinking they have got the initial good price.
I called for. A cancellation of my tickets less than 24hours of booking they said refund will take place in 7-14 days now im calling cheapoair by chance and their automated system says it can't locate my refund!
I booked airline reservations from Nanjing China to Macau China using their service. I get to the airport and the clerk tells me that the first leg of my trip is for a train. This is in spite of the fact that my email confirmation says I am using China Eastern airlines. Train? Really? I am making airline reservations and they book me on a train. My email confirmation looks and says airline information all over it. So, what should have been an 8 hour trip turned into a two day nightmare trip. And, when I finally talk to someone in the Cheapo company, they pawn me off on China Eastern. It was not their system that caused the problem says China Eastern. It is Cheapo's responsibility. So, as usual with these scams, I am a ping pong ball batted back and forth between companies that will not take responsibility. And, at the end of the day, I am out $500 with a horrid travel experience.
OVERcharged two different times for the same car rental
Complaint number 1: I was charged twice by Cheap Oair for one car rental.
I made one car reservation on May 4th that included travel protection. I realized I didn't need the travel protection and called back that same day to cancel the travel protection, which they refunded.
When my credit card statement came, I found that I had been charged twice for both Cheap Oairs $15 fee plus the $64.95 travel protection. I was charged $84.95 twice.
After a week and half and seven or eight calls later, Cheap Oair refunded their $15 service fee for the second charge, though they still needed to refund the additional $69.95 for the travel protection I was double charged for. (Though they didn't have to, they didn't even offer to refund the $15 for the actual car rental.)
Complaint number 2: I was charged by Avis more than what was agreed upon by me and Cheap Oair.
The total amount that I was to pay per my agreement with Cheap Oair was $152.74. The total I was charged (less fees that I was obligated to pay Avis) was $241.60. I was charged $88.86 more than what Cheap Oair promised I would pay.
The total that Cheap Oair owes me is $158.81.
Again, I have tried several times to get my money back, even after being hung up on a couple of times (I never became upset with the representatives nor did I ever raise my voice toward them. Yet in the middle of two conversations, I was hung up on). I have done everything representatives from Cheap Oair have asked, as well as putting together a spreadsheet showing the list of charges.
Stay away from Cheap Oair. They have proven that they lack integrity.
The above caption should replace the name CheapoAir. I personally think that Cheapo is a fraud, in that you will have a good experience the first time and they will recognize your name in the system. On subsequent occasions, they will tell you one thing, send you an Itenerary, and a couple days, weeks and even months later you will get confusing e-mails and phone calls that everything you agreed to initially has been changed.
The father of every lie is the devil so I believe that cheapo is owned by HELL because their practices are extremely deceitful.
I received confirmed Itenarary from Cheapo 5 months ahead of my travel date. 2 months before travelling I instinctively called the airlines to confirm that I would not be left hanging at the airport only to find out that they had booked my husband and I on one flight and my two small kids on a different flight THAT DID NOT EXIST. I then had to pay the change fees plus the additional booking fees and since I had booked so early in order to secure a good price and travelling time 5 months ahead, re-booking that late was a LITERAL NIGHTMARE. I ended up spending approximately $2500 (literally doubling my travel budget) more than I wanted to because I could not wait for a cheaper time period because so much time had elapsed and I could not travel again prior to February which would have been a year for me to re-assign the ticket.
Even their Insurance is fraudulent because when you try to correct things they are not at all helpful. If my earthly life depends on getting a flight with CHEAPO-AIR, my heart is right with God and I will just make a speedy entrance into Eternity... I VOW TODAY THAT I WILL NEVER USE CHEAPO-AIR AGAIN.
The fact that you have to pay before leaving the screen should be a warning bell to all because once you have hit submit you are at their mercy.
I now learn to work directly with the Airline, book early, put on hold for 24 hours and call a customer service representative to help me finalize and even suggest cheaper options.
I was desperate for an affordable flight in a pinch and I found it on CheapOair. At first I was skeptical but I soon realized they were reliable.
I ALWAYS TAKE TICKET FROM CHEAP"O"AIR BECAUSE THE BEST FARE I CAN GET ONLY FROM CHEAP"O"AIR... THEIR FARE IS CHEAP BUT THEY ARE NOT CHEAP WITH BEST SERVICE.
I really like to deal with cheapoair.ca no worries totally trustable, the customer service are very kind and patient i will always book with them.
For anything but coach watch them. I purchased $8,000+ business class ticket back April 2015 now Jun 2015 for flying Oct 2015. They changed my ticket from business to coach. I know this is $6000 fare difference. Tried to bump me from first/business aisle seat to back middle seats. Maybe cause I booked my seats directly with Qantas and didn't pay their $$ fee to preselect seats through them. Plus I can't pull up the booking on their website via booking nbr I have use emails they've sent.
My seemingly non refundable tickets were easily refunded through the call center. Be sure to do it in the first 24 hours of purchase, though.
The call center waiting time was 10 minutes, which, I think, is pretty acceptable.
This company has very wrong practices I have never seen before with any other online company ( and I travel quite a lot).
I purchased a flight from New York to Montreal. After an initial search, I could not find a convenient schedule. So, I clicked the option "flexible dates" assuming that the programme would give me different schedule options to choose from, which I did.
Well, this is the trick. It turns out that the options you choose are not really final, even though you think they are and you are prompted to provide your credit card details to make your purchase. Once all the online operation is completed and you close your computer, then programme still looks for the cheapest option within a three-day margin to the dates you provide and picks the cheapest dates by default. An email is then sent to the account I provided (which of course went into my junk mail) with a request to confirm the proposed dates within 24 hours. Otherwise, if they do not hear from you the programme will buy the ticket according to these dates.
As you can imagine, the dates the programme bought for me do not work at all. When I found about this a few days later, I called the phone number provided in the webpage and was informed that this is the way the system works if you mark the "flexible dates" box. They also told me that this information was clearly stated somewhere (which is probably true but probably in such a small font that I do not remember having seen it at all).
In order to get a new ticket with dates that worked for me, I would have to pay a $200 penalty and the difference for changing the dates. After complaining about this, the operator discussed it with a supervisor and the penalty was lifted. However, the difference to be paid was still above 500 dollars, which would round up the purchase to a full amount of $1000 for a New York- Montreal trip!
I insisted that this practice of having a programme to buy a ticket for you based on travel dates chosen by default is something unheard of and simply not correct. Other companies offering the "flexible dates" option do provide a menu of schedule options to choose from. But the final decision always belongs to the customer, without taking my silence as acquiescence. Otherwise, what defence would I have if for some reason I cannot read the email they send so that I confirm within 24 hours. As I said, the email went to my junk and I only retrieved it after one week...
Even though the date to travel is July 4th, I have already decided to purchase a ticket with another company and forget about this one. Maybe I could get some money back if I cancel it, who knows. But the experience has been to frustrating to try again.
I hope any potential customers will find this information useful, as I would not like them to be misled and tricked the way I was.
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
Answer: Security may not be an issue but they can cheat you by hiding information you should know. I would suggest to not use them and their customer service personnel are also worst I have ever seen.
Answer: Provide the 8 digit booking number and what you need assistance with. Our apologies for the inconvenience
Answer: You can't and they will steal your money like what they did to me
Answer: Because they are scam, they just want to steal money from our pocket

Customer booked online, his original search was July 3-6, we can see screen shots of what he chose. We offered July 4-8 for a much cheaper fare, which the customer chose. Once he had selected the flights he wanted, and cost was a factor, he submitted the reservation. Once the booking is submitted, and the customer assumed responsibility that he reviewed what he selected and everything was good to go we do not make any changes to flights booked! 2 emails are sent and you have a 24 hour grace period on this booking to call and advise if something is array, he called 10 days later. We offered to waive the airline change fee of $200.00 to make this more affordable, and all he needed to pay was the cost of the airfare difference for the date he actually wanted to travel, he refused our offer and just canceled the booking.
