The company has established a strong reputation for its user-friendly platform and competitive pricing, with many customers praising the efficiency of the booking process and the helpfulness of customer service representatives. However, some concerns have been raised regarding communication issues, particularly related to flight changes and refunds, leading to frustration among users. While the majority of feedback highlights a positive experience, instances of delayed support and difficulties in correcting booking errors suggest areas for improvement. Overall, the company is viewed as a reliable option for budget-conscious travelers, yet it must enhance its customer service responsiveness.

Terrible experience. A bunch of Crooks from a call center in India. A had to make a change to a reservation- they charged me double the price even though the website had a different price. The person I talked a woman by the Cruz- horrible woman, supposed to be supervisor- nothing but a cheap and disgusting experience. Better buy from airlines directly!
Never ever buy any ticket from this cheating site... they ask me 3 times money for changing ticket which they make mistakes. Even i already paid but still they send me mistakes tickets and ask me again money... its cheating and cheating agin...
First of all I made the mistake of misspelling my girls name by one letter, I went through proper procedures and had to pay $50. I was told it was going to be for the round trip ticket with 2 different airlines. The person that helped me assure to me that everything was taken care of but that was not the case. I pretty much had a horrible experience at the airport cause nothing was taken care of and I lost $50. The money is not the issue at this point.
BRIAN ZOANNI (CS PLUS WAIVERS) was the person that helped me. That person not only gave me false information and assure me that everything was gonna be fine but also stopped answering my emails when confronted about my current situation while on vacation just leaving me stranded to pay for another brand new ticket to go back home. Thank you for nothing. Hope he enjoys the $50 he stole from me, looks like he needs it more. I don't need an answer back from you guys. I don't wanna see your name or anything affiliated with you guys. Just don't contact me at all. I'm sure you guys while reading if you do read reviews, don't really care cause of the immense list of other customers you guys have, who am I right? But it's fine, I will write a piece on you guys and make sure it gets posted on the news paper, I will not rest until the news get a hold of this. You guys just ruined a well deserve vacation for me. Ya'll have a great day.
Never ever buy ticket from Cheapoair.! They showed a baggage allowance for 2baggages however they changed the baggage to 1 before my trip. Waited on line for hours to talk to someone. Then they blamed the airline, I called airline company they said it is up to Cheapoir because I got the ticket through them. Cheapoair refused to help me and didn't want to do anything in this situation.
What a horrible booking site - don't use them. Their discount codes are filled with misinformation and the customer service reps are less than helpful. You get transferred multiple times before you get to theright person - fees are exorbitant. Avoid this site!
Hope you dont have an issue with your booking because their customer support is clearly outsourced incredibly rude and not helpful. They are unhelpful and quick to hang up with lots of unanswered questions. Go with expedia if your doing bookings.
THEY DONT HELP WITH ANYTHING, VERY SELFISH. PAID FOR A TRIP TRAVEL PROTECTION PLAN AND COULDNT HELP ME. ONLY CARE ABOUT MAKING MONEY! NEVER EVER $#*!ING USING THIS CHEAPOAIR AGAIN! AND I WILL KEEP ON GIVING YOU A BAD $#*!ING REVIEW EVERYWHERE!
I was charged twice for a seat upgrade and have been lied to and deceived on several occasions by there Customer Service and Supervisor in seat assignment for 7 months and still have not received my refund. I will never, repeat never, use CheapOair again! In my 61 years, they are the worst airline I have ever dealt with!
Accidentally booked a flight and tried to cancel within an hour. They charge $50 for this, no exceptions. Spent 2 hrs arguing with them only to realize I could call the airline directly and they would cancel with no fee... Why would you ever use this service then?
CheapOair has really great customer service. They were able to take care of a booking issue for me within minutes. It was great! I'm so thankful for their service!
First they trick you into buying a cheaper flight on days that are different then the one you wanted. Even if you catch the problem less then 24 hours of purchase they will upsell you or charge you a cancellation fee.
I was never able to talk with someone in the US and they kept me on hold off and on for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
I chose to take the cancellation fee and will never deal with this company again.
If their search is good/bad is one thing. One can search in there, and buy somewhere else.
The most major issue I have had with them is that their cancellation fees are very high. A flight of $1000, that had a cancellation of $50+$20 from the carriers, had an extra cancellation fee of $250 just from cheapoair itself.
Changing the date was free by the carriers, while cheapoair charged $120.
Basically, their hidden fees might be very high. Some other companies are much lower.
Also, all the searches that comes up are from one mother company.
I would like to report a fraud case. Using your google/flights search I searched for a flight from Hong Kong to Amsterdam. Singapore Airlines came up as the cheapest flight (in HK Dollars) and I selected my flight.
Then when booking the flight, CheapoAir came up to book this flight with a slightly lower price. I booked through them, but found out that the flight cost was in $ (but USD) in stead of $ / HK$. So they were charging 7.7 times more!
I had to call my credit card company and had to cancel my card. Please be aware.
I booked a trip for three to Germany but had to cancel due to medical reasons. When I called, the agent explained that there would be a USD 250 cancelation fee per passenger and of the USD 4,100 I had paid I would get roughly USD 3,300 back. So naturally, I thought that the difference was the USD 750 penalty. Oh no! Two days later a charge of USD 750 popped up on my credit card. Upon calling again I was told that the airline would charge a penalty and on top of that Cheapoair would charge another USD 750 penalty. It gets worse because I have to wait between 30 days and 60 days for my refund because the refund depends on the airline. I don't get that at all because when I booked, my payment went to Cheapoair and not the airlines directly!
When I called to complain I was connected to a supervisor and in a holding queue forever and then the call conveniently dropped. I
Due to a sudden injury the person I was tgoing to vist had, I had to cancel my flight. It was a 55 minute flight which cost under 50 bucks yet they refused to reimburse me. Cheapo, indeed.
By far some of the worst customer service I have experienced in the last 15yrs. From outright lies to completely contradicting themselves. 3.5 hours and 4 customer service people and 2 supervisors later they still insisted that their non refundable ticket policy was based on the airlines policy, i rang both airlines in this instance who told me that BOTH the tickets booked through cheapoair are refundable. Cheapoair refused to refund the $1000US for the tickets and insisted it was the airlines policy insisting that I do not know what I am talking about. Completely despicable! This agency should not be allowed to do business. BE WARNED!
Reason for refund was a middle name entered on my booking that is not mine. I booked with only a first and last name yet my ticket was issues with a middle name that I never entered. They insisted I must have entered it, told me I was lieing to them and that they did not believe me. They insisted my only option was to cancel and rebook but that the tickets with the middle name are non refundable. They lied and lied again in an effort to steal my $1000US from me. In the end the airline on the first leg of the trip told me they would change the name for me at checkin which would change it in both airline systems. They then proceeded to add notes to my booking to that affect. Thank you Virgin America!... NEVER EVER AGAIN - THIEF-OAIR (cheapoair).
It couldn't have been an easier, self-explanatory process. I haven't flown in over 10 years and was a little nervous on how the booking process was going to go and if I did it correctly, but I was able to book everything perfectly fine with CheapOair. I called for questions and they were very helpful and knowledgeable. I definitely will be booking through them again! Highly recommend!
I love the website. I know it though my teacher. Its where i can find the flights with the reasonable fare. I will use more in the future. Marking 5 stars is exact
I would advise people to never use cheap o air. They have 3rd rate customer service, poor disclosures upfront and you end up paying more. It cost my family 320 $ / bag for checked in luggage when it could have been free for an international flight from Pakistan to USA just because of the way the ticket was booked by cheapOair. In total they payed extra 1000$ extra. For the same flight that was booked from another online website there was no extra charges for the second checked in bag. I called their so called customer service who were not only rude but also they could not give me a satisfactory answer. Again, plz never use cheapoair and save your money and time.
I booked via CheapoAir a round way ticket for ~$870. A few hours after I purchased the ticket, I had to change the flight dates. In addition, I had to add a person to my travel dates. I called the Customer Support.
The helpdesk told me, if I dont cancel the existing flight and rebook via customer support I dont have to pay any fees. I thought thats great.
The Helpdesk found 2 round way tickets within my new time frame and told me that the price is just a little higher, ~$1050. I agreed to the price Because of the different flight dates and thats what I paid sometimes in the past for my flight destination.
When I got billed it turned out that the flight tickets were $870 each, and CheapoAir was adding an Agent fee of $380! When I called Customer Support to find out about the $380, I was just told that I agreed to the ticket price, regardless if I was told there will be no extra fee, nobody was telling me that I have to pay an agent fee of almost $380. I never got a call back from the supervisor as well. Thank you CheapOAir
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
Answer: Security may not be an issue but they can cheat you by hiding information you should know. I would suggest to not use them and their customer service personnel are also worst I have ever seen.
Answer: Provide the 8 digit booking number and what you need assistance with. Our apologies for the inconvenience
Answer: You can't and they will steal your money like what they did to me
Answer: Because they are scam, they just want to steal money from our pocket
