The company has established a strong reputation for its user-friendly platform and competitive pricing, with many customers praising the efficiency of the booking process and the helpfulness of customer service representatives. However, some concerns have been raised regarding communication issues, particularly related to flight changes and refunds, leading to frustration among users. While the majority of feedback highlights a positive experience, instances of delayed support and difficulties in correcting booking errors suggest areas for improvement. Overall, the company is viewed as a reliable option for budget-conscious travelers, yet it must enhance its customer service responsiveness.

They were supposed to refund me my ticket and they took $200 as their fee and gave me only not even half my ticket money back.
I have no words to discuss the customer service at this company. I highly do not recommend to use it.
They charged me $50 to cancel ticket within 24 hrs even though they advertise free cancellation. And you have to call them, cant do it online. It took 20 minutes and quoted higher rate for another ticket that I could buy online cheaper!
They did not give me all the information I needed for travel to Portugal. Now I am out over $300. The take the money and I get nothing. The problem was to enter Portugal you must have a round trip ticket proper health insurance and proof of income. They sold me a one way ticket without giving me this information. I feel it is their responsibility to deliver the right information before selling me a ticket. I am 76 and only have S. S. for income. This lose will be a hardship for me paying over $300 for nothing. I see now they have over 700 bad reviews. They will not give me a refund or credit.
After checking into this, it is not necessary to have a roundtrip ticket to enter Lisbon, and no need of proof of health insurance. This was about wanting a refund on a non refundable ticket. We did verify the information with the airline and no problems with this reservation.
I purchased two round trip tickers to Paris on November 1,2018. On January 25,2019 they emailed me to tell me the flight simply doesn't exist, that the carrier doesn't even fly the route I had selected. Since booking I have moved and now use a different bank, as is my right as a consumer. They flight they wanted to put my on would've conflicted with the already made lodging and work leave plans I had. Plus the new itinerary would require I pay out of pocket to stay in Boston, completely out of my way, and the question. I told them the new flight was unacceptable and a compete refund would need to be issued(I had purchased every type of insurance possible). Then they notified me that they would not send me refund to any account other than the one used to purchase the ticket. That bank is not here where I live now and you can't open an account over the phone. So effectively they told me it's impossible to issue a refund. I have had to contact a consumer affairs attorney and the Better Business Bureau about this. These are NOT reputable people, they have no US based support, and they care none about the client. Avoid at all costs.
I booked a flight through this site. I booked it around 550 USD thinking I still had 24hr to cancel the flights for free. This is a total scam. I later went to Google.com/flights and found flights for less than 400 USD. Although they advertise for cheapest flights, that is not true. Additionally, they don't charge you for cancellation fee, they do charge you for travel agency fee when you cancel your flights within 24HRS.
I booked a flight to Hawaii and later looked at the flights on American Airlines and they were over $100 cheaper. When I tried to cancel within an hour of making the reservation they wanted to charge me $50. They insisted they told me about it but I would have remembered that. We settled on $25 and I still came out ahead by booking it with American. I'm still waiting for the refund and crossing my fingers because they made multiple charges on my card that make no sense. I will never use them again.
I called to cancel a flight that was booked by mistake within 1 minute I press the wrong button. The agent I talked to over the phone laughed at me when I told him it was booked by a mistake. Then they charged me $75 cancellation fee( every agent I have used grant a 24 hour free cancellation). More, when I check my credit card account immediately, instead of charging $75, I was charged for $150. If I didn't check right away, they would have double charged me. Everyone I have talked to over the phone has a heavy accent. This probably is not an US based company which makes it even less reliable. Stay away from this website if you can.
It was a technical glitch that caused the double charge, since the very same day she called to cancel she was refunded the additional $75.00 immediately. This is resolved. Our corporate office is in New York and we are a large diversified business!
Awful! Do not use this company! You cannot trust them!
I bought my tickets online 2 days before my flight, everything was perfect it was the exact tickets we wanted, the perfect time etc. after purchasing my tickets I made an agreement with a family memeber to drive me, I got the specific time so that the family member is able to take us so we save $100 for taxi.
The company calls me many hours later and tells that they don't really have this flight at all, meanwhile my flight is in one day!
They told me they will do me a favor and not charge me more for changing my flight to a flight I did not even want!
They switched my flight to so early that we lost our ride from family member cause it's an older person and they cannot be staying up the night to drive us, so we spent another $100 on taxi!
What is this non sense?!?!? I have never heard of such thing, I'm scared to book with them because I we use affirm and if we get screwed again like this we have no other form of payment and they take 6 business days to return the money! Cause first the airline has to release the funds than affirm another 3 days! So if it's last min we are screwed!
They did nothing for us, for screwing us over like that, I would appreciate at least the taxi cab refund! But a full refund at this point is what I need!

I booked a flight from Houston to New Delhi via Paris and Rome. There were some issues with the transit visa(I need Schengen visa) and I could not board the flight. I called customer services 3-4 times to help me to reschedule the flight. It is hard to believe but they offered to reschedule me on the same flight in 2-3 days but I have to pay extra 1200-1300 dollar, Or they will reschedule me on the same flight after one month(with extra 500-600). I told them clearly that both options are not plausible for me because I cannot get a visa in 2-3 days because it is holiday season and I cannot go after one month because I am a student. I called them again if I can get the refund or schedule some other time, but they told me that the flight already marked me "no show" so they canceled the whole trip(roundtrip) even when I informed that I cannot board the flight because of visa issues. They told me they understand my problem and they are sorry for it. But you cannot deposit sorry. I lost the 959 dollars I saved for going home and of course, I could not go home. Zero customer satisfaction.

Ok my story goes this way i booked a ticket for my parents and one of em cannot go so we discussed the cancellation and the refund and the guy said this is the amount so i was hesitant but agreed since they said they need to charge my credit card "$200"! For cancellation and they even sent me an email for the said amount. Okay fine... But after a few days we received an email stating they will refund almost 200 less than what they sent via email!
I have not received any missed calls from u guys but yeah issue resolved.
Thanks
Mike
I have often purchased tickets on Cheapoair and was satisfied with the service until my last trip. I was confused because the price quoted online was not the price that I got at checkout. When I called, their agent said that price showing online was gone and told me the price was now even higher than the inflated checkout price. Foolishly, I allowed myself to be hustled by this bull and bought the ticket because he told me that if I waited it would be even higher. Afterwards, I started to suspect a scam, and checked other flight search services. Priceline was quoting a price for the exact same flight, that was $125 cheaper than Cheapo's advertised price. Since Cheapo has a price match guarantee, I made a screen grab of Priceline's price with the date showing and contacted Cheapo asking for a price match. They contacted me the next day and said they could not match Priceline price and offered to either cancel my reservation or give me a $80 discount. Since the flight was now gone on Priceline, I had no choice but to accept the discount, even though it was far from the Priceline price which was $250 lower. I am very disappointed and will take my international flight business elsewhere in the future.

As far as I*m concerned they shouldn't even get a star. CheapOair does not care about you and be aware that they will not take responsibility for anything they book, whether wrong date, time, or cancelled flights,. If you have a complaint they will email you and tell you that. To me that is a shady way of doing business and they're taking your hard earned money. By the way their parent company is Fareportal and other sister compan ies onetravel, and travelong. They booked my flight days two after the date I requested and have ruined my Thanksgiving Day.
This has been resolve, our apologies for the inconvenience.
Extremely unpleasant experience with CheapOair. I've been using them for many years, nothing happened until now
I mistakenly switched the order of my dad's first and middle name when booked the airline ticket. I was suggested to call the airline directly to change the name. However, airline directed me back to CheapOair to make the changes. I was advised from the airline that CheapOair could change the name for me but needed to pay an extra charge which I had agreed because this is my mistake. However, I was forced to cancel the ticket and ended up paying high cancellation fee (total ticket value comes to $800.00. Cancellation fee $150.00 charged by CheapOair + $600.00 charged by airline?). Total amount refunded to my credit card only comes to $150! I talked to the airline again, they said this is ridiculous but they're not willing to tell me how much I am supposed to be charged as this is kinda an agreement with all the agency (understandable). Most importantly, I asked them to hold off the cancellation as I need to call the airline again to discuss further, turns out ticket has been cancelled without my authorization.
After the conversation with the airline, I am sure I was overcharged by CheapOair.
I would not recommend to use CheapOair again. They're trying to do whatever faster/convenience for themselves instead of offering best solution to their loyal customers. They don't care how much extra customer's paying. They only care about themselves.

CheapOair
I'm working with CheapOair almost 4 years, so the first site where I go to find tickets for flying is them and always recommend to my friends to use them because of customer support and cheap, good tickets, but not that time. What happened guys, I bought a ticket for me and for my husband to Hong Kong and back to Kiev a month ago. We came to Hong Kong stayed there and I had problem with my leg before flying back home and we went to hospital there, so because of that we were late for our flight just for couple minutes. We are always flying buisness class because we like comfort for a long trips. So, after that, we were dissapointed, we urgently need to fly to Ukraine, so I called to my assistant and she bought new tickets for us, but I try to call to customer support CheapOair and they told me that they cannot do refund because of a huge list of penalties. So, guys, if you will have same problems with your health like me with leg, run or forget about your couple thousands of dollars because CheapOair not that company who will understand and will not give you money back and will explain a lot in order to make loyal customers to forget about money. My personal recomendation is to improve and not to forget about loyalty.
I travel a lot and have never gone through such a nightmare as with CheapOair/One Travel. My flight, that I in good faith paid them for about a half year in advance, was canceled which they did not notify me about and I was fortunate to find out 2 days before or I would have just appeared at the Cyprus Airport with NO FLIGHT! Then, when I contacted them, they kept saying they would offer me options but NEVER got back to me with any alternate flight so we were stranded in Larnaca, Cyprus with no flight back to Heathrow - which we had paid for. They obviously do not give a damn about their customers and should be shut down before they take advantage of other innocent, unsuspecting people.
I booked our vacation tickets 40 days in advance before my vacation, a week before trip Cheapoair called and told me airline changed the schedule. I asked them to let me research and I'll get back to them. I called them, I was on hold for 25 minutes and then they said I have to pick the new schedule that they force me to take with layover time of 25 hours! After being on the phone for 2 days each time average 2 hours they didn't do anything, they didn't take responsibility or find me a ticket with better hours, dates or airline. They have untrained staff, supervisors with no power and poor customer service. Anytime you call you have to waste minimum 2 hours of your time. They insisted to give my money back and full refund me to not take the responsibility. I told them you canceled my flight a week before the flight and you want to refund me? What can I buy with that money a week before my vacation? Wrote the email for CEO and no answer either. I found my ticket somewhere else and asked for full refund and guess what? It takes two months to give my money back. I want to sue them.
Had to call an agent because the website couldn't remember my selections. Had to cancel due to illness and the merry-go-round started. The call center is in the Ukraine. 1st agent was so poorly trained with a terrible accent, I had to hang up and call again for another agent. The second agent was a little more understandable, but lacked basic cancellation info. If I had taken his advice and used the future credit option with the airline ( I bought insurance) I would have lost 90% of my fare with NO option to use the insurance down the road. To make matters worse, cheapoair charges $50.00 per person to cancel the booking. They profit from the ticket sale ( insurance reimburses NOT cheapoair) then profit from your illness cancellation. I had to call the next morning to speak with a third agent to actually cancel the flight. Do yourself a favor, use a travel agent, as after you add on all of the extra charges, it's really not worth it using these online sweatshops.
I booked a ticket for my mom and brother because I found a great deal and wanted to lock in that rate while we firmed up our travel plans. The site said they offered "24 hour cancellation" so I decided to book it right away. Nowhere unless you clicked on the "24 hour cancellation" link does it say they charge a fee. I ended up having to pay $150 to cancel my reservation 15 hours after I bought it. They are clearly hiding the fee in the hopes that people will book tickets without hesitating and then if they cancel be able to profit of that as well. This is a dirty tactic and not how you keep customers coming back. When I called to disoute the charge they offered absolutely no help (and sent me to a call center outside of the US). Do not use.
The cancellations policy is you can cancel within 24 hours for a refund of your airline ticket with a processing fee. The "'free' cancellation only pertains to airlines and not 3rd party travel sites.
We paid for the flight and upgraded seats. The flight was cancelled along with the seats. There is no way to return the money. Contacted customer service several times. The message says that the waiting time is 15 sec. In reality, they put you on hold for 30 minutes or so. They refused to transfer you to supervisor. Never got the money back regardless of the promise to process the refund whiting 48 hours.
Customer has been refunded the seat fees that were charged by United airlines. Case has been resolved.
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
Answer: Security may not be an issue but they can cheat you by hiding information you should know. I would suggest to not use them and their customer service personnel are also worst I have ever seen.
Answer: Provide the 8 digit booking number and what you need assistance with. Our apologies for the inconvenience
Answer: You can't and they will steal your money like what they did to me
Answer: Because they are scam, they just want to steal money from our pocket
