I had to reschedule a flight, and the service was horrible! The agent tried to charge me for fees that did not exist and, even I having already a flight that I wanted to change for, they keep trying to push me to another one and saying that "fare was higher" for the one I wanted. I had to be checking everything on my own to argue with the agent and convince her to change for the flight that I previously aimed for (and that end up being cheaper!).
I booked my flights before this whole covid 19 came out. When i tryed to cancel my flights and get a refund, ive been getting the run around to get my money back. Its been a month and half and they keep telling me to call the airline to get a refund. When i call the airline they tell me i have to talk with cheapo air to get my refund. Due to the corona virus and government issued travel restrictions I am unable to take my flight. I applied for a refund and was denied saying I would get a voucher. I waited on hold to speak with a representative for almost 2 hours and then was hung up on before I could talk to anyone. I have called and emailed to get a refund... no response. They are taking my money and for reasons I cannot control. Because I am obeying the government issued travel restrictions, I am getting punished and CheapOair is keeping my money.
I booked and prepaid for a trip on May 1st. I prepaid the ticket ($2,042.00) plus travel insurance and booking fees for an additional $200.00.
I didn't request cancellation and I was still willing to travel, but the airlines cancelled the trip and sent me a note that they will refund my money, which they did.
Cheap-o-air were faithful didn't refund the booking fees and insurance money at first. After many correspondences they credited all the fees.
I was mandatorily evacuated from Ecuador on March 17th, so I had to cancel my original return flights scheduled for March 20th, 2020. I requested to cancel the return flights on March 19,2020 and receive a refund. Due to work shutdowns in the call center in India (which I understand and sympathize with), it took until May 12,2020 for someone from CheapOair to contact me regarding my request. Avianca airlines is offering a future credit on their flights only, which is useless to me because I will not ever be flying to Central or South America again. The agent who called me, Jonas, was very nice and professional and offered to cancel the CheapOair fees (booking and cancellation) which I appreciate very much. He will talk to Avianca again. While I would prefer a refund, IF the credit voucher is the only option, I would only be able to use it if I could use it for their partner airlines, Alaska. I hope I can either get a refund or use the voucher on Alaska Airlines. This has been a long, frustrating process. I realize these are tough times for everyone, but hope Avianca airlines will be reasonable. Thank you
I'm in the seat selection process. I selected a seat for #0089, but then changed my mind and want a different seat. I have not paid yet, but it won't let me select a different seat. Also, I thought the $44.95 was a steep price and then they added anther $15. Fee!
This is one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. Customer service is completely horrible. Trying to get a hold of someone is a nightmare and when you do get them, it sounds like they really don't care about your issues. Even when I try to help them, it seems like I'm interrupting their life. They also need better phone equipment because it's a strain to hear them. Will never use this company again.

I purchased tickets for me and my family in last FEB traveling from USA to Turkey and paid 7770 dollars then with the Coronavirus situation and the travel ban they wouldn't cancel my tickets even with big charges and they told me that there policy and they will offer future credit for 2 months then i said that the time my kids will return to the school and they answers just like robots No cancellation only future credit for 2 months and they charged me over 300 dollars for chosen future credit that i have no other choice

Due do the crisis I am trying to contact CheapOair since 3 month now. 8 unanswered emails, hours of waiting time on phone and no reaction via messenger. The flight was cancelled, I didnt receive a refund or an answer. Probably I will see my money never again. Shame on you Cheapoair! Never again

I protested vigorously, he said it was because I called (personal service) and the online price had expired (that price had remained the same for the previous 5 days & still showed the online price online) I tried to cancel (was told that wasn't possible. I pointed out he had said I had 24 hours, so he "talked to his supervisor" who oked the online price. Not cool. I am not happy (End March post)
In March, when the Covid 19 crisis hit, because I am at high risk, I wanted to change my travel plans for a later date. At the beginning, Cheapo Air said it was up to American Airlines, AA said to work through Cheapo. I lodged a complaint and ultimately my tickets were made exchangeable for a future trip. I have not yet rescheduled that trip but hope it is easier this time around.

During Covid-19 we had a large trip scheduled to Disney/Florida and then on to St. Martin and then St. Barts. As like all, we had to cancel. EVERY travel provider was excellent and helped fix any charges immediately. Cheapoair was horrible. 1) They didn't answer the phones so there was no way to speak w/anyone. 2) We left multiple messages and they never called back. 3) We not only didn't get a refund for the pieces of the trip booked with them, they charged us for things on our credit card that we didn't use and/or don't have any idea what they are for. 5/10 We reached a live person thru sales and they told me twice that they would give me to someone who could help and 30 minutes later, no one answered. 4) I am still trying to resolve these issues. I WILL NEVER, NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!

I'd like to start off by saying the service was good in the beginning then as the covid19 spread they canceled our tickets for obvious reasons so we tried to contact them several times about our tickets and as soon as we mentioned our tickets they hang up their response to our 3200$ canceled tickets was A $400 refund and nothing else not even a call to reschedule Please don't lose your hard earned money due to something that was outside of your control shop around!

Please stay away from this website its a scam. Whenever i call questioning my refund or travel credit the just cut the call on my face.
Be sure you can loose your money by using Cheapoair. We ordered tikets through them, airline company cancelled the flight and chepoair said that can only purchase with that company later (what is impossible because visa will expire). When asked for money back, they stated that not sure if airline company can do it. Question of the day: we could order directly from airline company, what is chepoair job and what do the get payed for? Also be careful when u get from them additional service that they told us over the phone we can have discount. The discount was 10$, not anywhere close to 50$. Is a big scam. Also spend 3 hours on hold today calling multiple times and was disconnected twice, (quess they don't want to pay money back). If I will not get my money back for cancelled by the air company plain that we ordered less than a week ago, will proceed with further actions. Will never use this site again.
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
