I have been a member of CheapOair for more than 7 years. It had great customer service before, but for the last two years, it's been getting worse, especially when they moved their call center to India. I had my vacation round-trip flight tickets purchased 4 months before my trip; within the 4 months, my tickets were canceled and amended, and they changed my trip routes and times about 7 times for one reason, which is flight cancellation. During that time, I checked the flight routes and times and I found there were no changes when I called the flight agents. They told me our schedule is still on time and that I needed to check with my CheapOair agent and see why they changed my schedule or route. After all the changes I found that the call center in India was the one to cancel and change my flight, to resale it at a high price to a different customer. When I called them to ask why they did that, they offered me a refund if I'm not satisfied or to purchase a new ticket at a more expensive price, even when I told them that I had already submitted my vacation request to my work and booked my tickets for that reason. All they do is transfer my call to different agents and keep me on hold on each conversation for about 45 minutes to a couple of hours. Sometimes, they hang up the phone and I have to recall it again only to deal with the same scenario with no solutions until I eventually give up and hang up the phone myself, after wasting hours of my time for nothing.

A refund that has been resolved in June 2021 has not been made now after one year! Their billing department is not reachable and they don't even have a toll-free number. The long distance call hangs up after one hour……. Finally I had a supervisor call in Jan 2022 and promises been made while asking for proofs my credit card statements and stuff. Still waiting…. I don't know what prevents them from refunding CAD 200 but my next move is filing a complaint against Cheapoair in Quebec's Consumer Protection Office. WORST customer service ever for something that is soooo clear and legit.
Terrible customer service. Flight got canceled, didn't find out until an hour after the flight left. Over charge for seating selection... cannot work with to reschedule flights, always pay full price to reschedule regardless of what is paid. "WAS TOLD, BEST OF LUCK TO YOU", No help at all. Original airline won't work with the tickets either due to 3rd party booking... do not use 3rd party go through airline carrier. Also tried to double charge me for reschedule flights... I repeat do not use...
They said I hit a airport location that I wouldn't hit that's 2 hours away from my destination yes they said I could change it for additional 400 which I cannot do and yes they will get me a car to take me to grand rapids Michigan 1 way was told by one individual that American airlines doesn't go to grand rapids which it does so been fighting with them for awhile and American airlines can't do anything I even looked up southwest and there tickets into grand rapids is same price I paid them and a six hour shorter layover. I will be layed over for 13 hours in Chicago. I will never use them again I will go directly thru airlines.

I count on CheapO for straight forward savings, no bells and whistles. I'm out of practice after the pandemic tho, so I was surprised by the seat selection fees which I'll skip next time. Nonetheless, it still offers the best deals from my locale (Newark).
Flight was canceled and no one can figure out how to fix my reservation. They canceled the flights I had even though I could still use them. The first leg was canceled but I bought a replacement ticket for that leg. I am so frustrated as no one can confirm the new flights, and the airlines say it is the travel agent's job to do the confirmations. Cheapoair refuses to confirm the new flights.
Your offer of $50 for change from basic economy to economy to carry small lugagge and one checked was about $40 more expensive once you show the new price.
Also I did not received the june22 discount.
I lost the original booking page. When I tried to look again you increased the flight by $20.00. Went from 141. To 161. That makes no sense to me. I am talking like 2min not a whole day or hour. I did get my flight for 141*17. Really got me angry that you would rip a person off that quickly!

I was quite pleased while navigating through the booking program. I was most pleased with the price of travel.
So I purchase a ticket with them and had to change the dates but was not sure for when, I was not asking for refund but E credit which they gave me. The day comes which I know when I can leave so I find tickets with a different airline through cheapoair they said nooooo you have to go with original airline, I said ok, I then find a ticket with the same airline but cheaper then original price they said nooooo it has to be equal or more in price again against our policy. I then locate the same price flight which I refresh multiple times the same price keeps coming back, they state that price only has one seat available. So what I am saying is never book with cheapoair they will find a way for you to pay more there CSR's are rude like we owe them something. This is the last time I will ever book with them. FYI I sent that ticket to my cousin to book 2 seats to see if it goes through and she did and was able to select seats. She of course immediately cancelled got a full refund because it was under 30min of time of booking. What does this tell you people? You are better of purchasing through an airline this way you might pay more but you will never have any issues. STAY AWAY EVERYONE FROM CHEAPOAIR
Not particularly intuitive program. Took more effort than I anticipated. After 20 minutes, I hung up from trying to contact *******190 with a question. However, I am still satisfied with the end product.
I am writing to show my extreme disappointment of the bad experience I witnessed with the online agents online.
I was trying to seek help from the customer service online but I got disconnected 10 times. Every time the team tried to find more information about my issue, I got disconnected. I spend more than five hours stressed trying to get help from the agents.
The issue is that I have issued flights to Lebanon for my family on Cheapoair via Saudi Arabia Airlines. It came to my attention when I called the Saudi airlines that its not permitted to return from Beirut to Bahrain (because there is a transit in Saudi Arabia). It was not stated or mentioned anything about not being able to return from Beirut to Bahrain via Saudi Ailines in Cheapoair.
I kindly request full refund because I can't afford getting new tickets or you can change the airlines for me.
I must travel on the 11th of July with my family.
I am looking forward for a positive response in this matter within max two days.

I have called between 15-17 times now and my problem is still NOT resolved. The airline cancelled my departure ticket and since then I've been calling to book another date. I have my old parents travelling, I have to rebook them the wheelchair food specifications and all. Cheapoair doesn't have any flexibility to rebook another date unlike expedia. Expedia is so good in dealing with these situations. I just had same experience and they provided me with 31 days before and after flexible dates to choose. Cheapoair made me waste so much of my time and exhausted me mentally trying to reach them. I have stayed on line everytime 2 hours at least, and taffer that somebody answers and say will transfer me schedule department. I wait another hour, and the automated machine always disconnects on me asking for a survey. Am I not so frustrated to give you survey. You obviously doing some $#*!ty work in customer service, no pity for your customers! I still don't have a date for departure. So stressful cheapoair!
We have called you to discuss the options however no one answers and the mailbox is full, so not able to leave you a message. Please check again the email we sent on June 23 with the new flights. I do see that you have received it, so if you can contact us back to approve it, we can get the tickets issued.
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
