I recently booked a Roundtrip flight using cheapoair from New Orleans Louisiana to Memphis,TN. On the website it was listed as a one-way ticket with a layover in Orlando, FL. Prior to check in, the airline emailed regarding bags. I proceeded to pay for bags but found inwas being charged twice for both legs of the flight. I called the airline and was asked if I booked via a 3rd party. I replied yes and made them aware it was via cheapoair. They told me contact the 3rd party to pay for bags because they booked 2 non-stop flights to create the route as there is no route from New Orleans to Memphis and to avoid paying for 2 checked bags they would have to take care of it. I then called cheapoair, relayed this news and only got the run around. The representative denied this and said that I booked the ticket and to defer to the airline. I said I booked a rounstrip ticket not 2 nonstop flights. This was your company's doing so how can we fix this and so im not paying 120 for bags when the flight was only 116. The agent did nothing, did not take accountability or responsibility and I will never use this service again. How do you CREATE a route, selling it as a layover when it's not! 2 non-stop flights that the company created to get a sale then not take responsibility for this action. I also went to the airline's website to ensure this was true. It in fact is. There is no one flight with a layover from New Orleans to Memphis.Only 2 nonstop flights that can be purchased separately which I did not do. The agent told me his name was trey, I do not believe this to be true either. Again. I will never use this service again.

Bags cost $60.00 each way on Spirit airlines and the bag policy was listed there when you booked the flights, Even if you booked with someone else, you would have to pay for bags there and back.

Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
