They are the worst. Was on hold 45 min each call, they know nothing about booking, their agents don't know a thing and they charge my credit without my consent since they had info from the day before due to charges that were done day before that needed to be canceled. Their customer service is bad and their manager stand by them doing wrong. I still can't understand how someone can charge your credit card when 3 times you refused to give them the Security code number yet they did cause they had the info from the night before. I will never ever use them again and advise anyone to avoid them. The Worst of the worst
This website is scam. All the charges are in USD and they just mentioned that in very small font to fool the people and apply charges. The person talked with me has no sense. They all are foolish Indian and running this scam and pretend to be foreigners by changing their name on call. Be aware.
This booking was cancelled by the airline when part of the itinerary was cancelled by them. I called the call center on December 19 to cancel the flight. I spent close to three hours on the phone – the call dropped three times, and during the majority of the time during the calls, I was on hold waiting to talk to someone or often put on hold while the agent was busy supposedly trying to help me. While the rep originally told me about the "service fee" during the call, (I do not recall anything about a service fee when I booked the flight), after I explained about the flight cancellations, I was then told that the fee would be waived. I was grateful and all time I spent waiting or calling seemed worth it. Imagine how surprised I was to get an email charging me this fee! And after all the frustration of the call!
I wrote them but received a bland reply, and not even an acknowledgment of the frustration and time spent on this. And, of course, no refund.
I have booked with Cheap Fare Guru in the past, but I doubt I would them again.
I purchased 4 tickets to Hawaii. They forced me to reschedule the flight stating the airline changed the flight time. After talking directly to the airline, I found out this was not true!
They started the scam by emailing me stating they had to reissue my tickets. The email stated I needed to acknowledge the flight time changed so they could reissue my tickets, otherwise I would lose my tickets. I agreed and they charged me $200 for the change without telling me about the extra charge, and without getting my authorization to use my credit card. I was surprised to hear they saved my credit card information on file without my consent. Don't book with these jokers. It; s a SCAM! Save money, frustration and time by directly booking with the vendor.
Airlines changed our flight to a later time on the same day. Cheap Fare Guru's charged us a $25.00 fee because they had to reissue our ticket. This was not our fault the airline changed the flight NOT US. I will NEVER use these people again! The agent was rude and said "that's the way it is"

Beware of this website! When you book a ticket, they give you a call and say that they are conferencing with your credit card agency, then they ask about your credit card number, first and last name, phone number and finally their bait is to ask your "Social security number"

I booked our flights in february, shortly after we were notified that our flight had changed. We are then again charged to have to change the flights that they say the airline bumped us from. I did that was charged almost exact same price as the first flight. Then I was notified again when I did not accept to pay the extra money and said I would keep the flight they had issued me without our knowledge they canceled our flight. Got ready to fly out and three days before decide to check on my tickets only to find out my tickets who no longer available. They have been canceled by agent from cheap guru. Now these are non-refundable tickets as they say on their ad so not only do they keep my original $798. They kept the $702 they charged me at the first rebooking. Now they are refusing to charge or refund me anything because they made the decision at their end to cancel my flights. I was out $1,500 and had to repurchase tickets at the cost of $1,800. This has been absolutely the worst ordeal I have ever went through. Beware stay away from cheap Fair gurus at all cost.
What a joke, I've been on hold for an hour and when someone actually answers the phone they want to transfer me so I can wait another hour. I finally got through again, This person wanted to transfer me again until I raised my voice. In the end he transfered me just the same to a voice mail box to cancel my flight. The reason why I canceled, Ther Philippines on 11/29/2021 was open for tourists from 12/1/2021 to 12/15/2021. 12/1 and 12/2 I was reading about American tourist who had arrived. Then the country went back into lockdown. I purchased my ticket 12/1/2021/ I called the US State Dept. and they told me the newest update was 12/6/2021 when they locked the country down. My flight was booked for 12/8/2021. Yet, I have been on the phone for 5 hours trying to cancel this flight. Never again will I use this place.
I only gave one star because you can't give 0! DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THEM! Terrible customer service. We purchased insurance and due to a passport issue going to Sweden I was unable to use a very expensive ticket. They did not honor the credit even with the insurance. Plus they were extremely rude about it.
I bought two tickets to Chicago, and the insurance. I had a heart attack, my doctor says I cant travel. I called to cancel my tickets. They said I would have negotiate with the carrier. I told them I have insurance with you. They said it goes to the carrier. I spoke to Spirit and the United, they told me the ticket is non refundable and could be changed for 250.00. My ticket was 312.57. They said the insurance goes to Cheap Fare Guru. They told me the airlines are lying. I offered to bring the airline on on our conversation...they say its not their policy. Im out 312.57 and 12.95 insurance. Stay away from this company.
These people canceled our flight without our consent, took our money, and after police report, they gave it back. Pure scam. Horrible customer service. These people need investigated by law enforcement.
In Jan 2019, I book a flight through this worst website. While booking it was showing the Singapore Airlines. When I actually went to Airport, it was through Scoot Tiger Air. I never had issues with flight booking. This was my first nightmare. When I was about to check in my bag. I was told they only allow by Kgs. I mention to them that Singapore Airlines does allow to suit cases around 50 Pd per suitcase. However, this was not the Singapore Airlines, this was Scoot. I already had an injury on my foot, I was an active duty service member and after doing tons of paperwork. I finally had this leave approved. However, thanks to this company starting of my vacation was horrible and the charges that Scoot was asking me to pay for another Suitcase was SuperCrazy.
Without my consent or request they cancelled my ticket and charged me $100 for cancellation. They emailed telling Airlines changed itinerarary and asked us to confirm changes. And when we accepted changes, they charged $150 for two persons saying they had reissued/revalidated the tickets. They charged $150 even after we took their Platinum Travel Assist Policy that covers time changes. High time to report this company for unethical business practices and for frivolous charges.
We bought tickets last year to Texas. We bought the insurance that if we had to cancel we could be refunded. We had to cancel due to COVID as our employers would not let us travel out of state. They would not give a refund and gave us partial credit. We had to use it by December of this year. I called yesterday to flight in October. I still had to pay over $500 more to fly to a different part of Texas. They sent an email to confirm the charge. I replied that the charge was correct. However didn't notice until the next morning they had the dates as February not October like I had requested. I called right away to fix the dates. The guy was very rude. He refused to let me talk to a supervisor. We ended up paying another $222 because if their mistake. We will NEVER use them again! Very poor service!
I booked 5 tickets for my family 5 days ago. Needed to cancel the flight because of the high risk covid19 in the destination we were going to. I told them to refund me they first said for each ticket cancelation fee is $320 the they said there is $100 upfront fee which will be refunded. After 20 minutes they again said $100 is not refundable.
They are trying to eat others money without no reason. I book flight and I paid for it. But when I don't need it anymore you should refund the money.
At last, I talked with the supervisor and he directly said ticket is not refundable at all. That mean he will take all the money for the 5 tickets. They are thieves. DO NOT EVER BUY FROM THEM. They did not refund my single Penney.

How or where do I report this company for scamming people of their money. Had to cancel due tickets due to a family emergency, tried calling multiple times to get the flight rebooked, just kept telling that either seats are not available or asking exonerable price. Poor customer service. Hold for several hours. Can US Govt ban this company so innocent customers are not affected.
Booked tickets using them and then the airline changed the flights and we go stuck paying a 150.00 rebooking fee. We have NO control over the airline. We have had these booked since Feb. And have it changed twice. So we have paid 300.00 more in fees. I would love to provide the receipt but I cannot get it to download out of my email.

Jetblue cancelled the first leg of our trip...CheapFareGuru then gave us an option that would have made us miss our connecting flight - by HOURS!
So when I told them that would not work, they sent me another option...not a good one, but what choice did I have when the airline cancelled the original flight I had booked?
Then come the ridiculous charges for "Ticket re-issue" - $150 ($75/per person) + the $46 booking fee that I already paid the first time!
Rip off artists! There is no reason to charge people when their flights get cancelled - the airlines don't charge them, but they charge a hefty fee!
Don't be lured in by their low price deals like I was, it's not worth it and you will probably pay a lot more in the end - like we did!
