Thiefs
February 5, 2020

Phone was not lost. Phone was dropped in secure area. After hours it was picked up and sent to Chargerback. Two months later they still have not returned the phone. They stole the phone and are guilty of theft.

Total BS
January 29, 2020

Left an iPad on the plane, notified Air Canada right away but they said I couldn't go back and look even though passengers were still leaving the plane. Filed the lost item and it was found. Sent to Charger Back website and told I had to pay $56 to ship it from Pearson to downtown Toronto via Fedex. Insane price so I compared with Purolator, UPS and Loomis and all were at least half. This company is a scam and Air Canada is worse for using them - of course Im sure AC is getting a kick back somewhere.

My daughter left her case of movie dvds on an American Airlines flight. Called right away but plane left back to Charlotte and I had to complete the chargerback form. Heard nothing. Contacted chargerback who said they would contact American airlines. Still nothing. Contacted chargerback again and now no response. Been at it since October. If it was an iPad I feel like it would have been found.

Scammers!
December 13, 2019

I left my jacket in the Maple Leaf Lounge near U.S. departures in the Toronto Airport (YYZ). I realized my mistake as soon as I boarded the aircraft. Of course, I wasn't permitted to leave the plane and recover my property. I registered the jacket as lost with Air Canada through Chargerback about 2 hours into my flight. I left a clear and concise description of my property including the exact location. Three weeks now and all I have are a few robo-replies. Shame on Air Canada for partnering with these scammers.

I was on a flight from Edmonton to Toronto on Air Canada and forgot my ipad on the flight. I didn't realize it until the next morning. I got on line and filled in a lost item report with Chargeback lost and found. I got notice that day that they had found my iPad and I had options of how to get it back, pick up or delivery. I choose delivery by FedEx. It took 4 days to get it back with FedEx.

Chargerback did an excellent job of finding my iPad. FedEx took their time getting it to me even when I paid for overnight.

I'd use Chargerback any time of a forgotten iten but maybe consider another courier.

All in all I have the ipad and all is good. Thank you for a job well done.

Forgot some expensive items after checking out of my vacation rental. Called them less than 12 hrs after checking out & told them the exact drawers the iterms were left in. After a month, nothing but empty texts & emails. It's either there or its not & if not, then shame on the rental company for pocketing it. Fortunately, my incident didn't cost anything but hassle nonetheless.

Scam!
November 2, 2019

Left an item at Red Lion Port Angeles. I called them and got an automated response directing me to Chargerback. I went through the process. Got an email back saying they had found my item and were charging me $15 to get I back. I did that. Three weeks ago. I logged in today and was told that they were off site so actually had no idea about my item. I finally got hold of a person at the hotel and was told that not only would they get to the bottom of it, but that they use fedex and do not charge until the item is shipped out. Total scam!

I sat near back of the plane. Cleaning crew was almost upon us when I disembarked.

While waiting for my ride, I ran to Lost Counter in Newark airport. They telephoned the gate where they were newly boarding. My personal item was apparently turned in but I had to go through the retrieval process.
I gave every detail including a photo, flight, seat #, etc.
United partnered with Chargerback Co. That charged me a fee and then didn't return my beautiful maman's favorite hat.
So sad.
Another a. K. a. For Chargerback could be *Add Insult to Your Injury.
Take note, Airlines!

4 days after filing the report i get an email from them telling me they are still looking. This is disturbing. Either its there or it not. I provided the flight number, time and date, arriving airport and the seat number too. This is not brain surgery. Useless. Shame on you Air Canada for offloading this to a useless service.

Lost a cell phone- knew as I walked off the plane. My bad. I know exactly where it is but can't go back. I give Chargerback $ 52.50 to send it to me, ya right. Now I'm out $ 52.50 more like everyone one else but the lucky few. It's a front and a scam.

I read all the five star review and one star review. My conclusion is if you lose your valued cellphones, be prepared to never get it back from chargerback. What's behind it needs to be investigated. This company is totally a liar. They should have my iphone (120 days new) as I told united and filed the report right away and they ask for your unlock code? Excuse me? Why do you need my iphone's passcode? We give a detailed description, and once it's turned on, chargerback should be able to see the lost mode message, as well as my personal text messages on screen. Unlock code? NO WAY!

I left my ipad on a flight to toronto from venice. I realized it at security. They told me to go to the Air Canada desk. He said I couldn't go back to the gate because it was international. He gave me a card to fill out a report (useless). I convinced him to call the gate and the attendant said yes she had it. Since I couldn't return to the gate she would turn in to lost & found. I completed the report with great detail the next day. That was useless since nothing has been done. I have tried calling and emailing the airport and Air Canada. They have the worst customer service. One rep told me to go to the airport! Haha I live in Missouri and the airport is in Canada.

Really thought I had no chance of recovering my brand new tailored jacket when i left it overhead with no ID tag flying from PHL to PHX. Was even more disappointed when I saw it would be handled by a third party company and I had to send out this skimpy form and hope for the best. Reluctantly did it as I had no choice and lo and behold the next morning had a notification that they found it with options to get it right back. Thanks Chargerback!

I have lost my tablet somewhere during international flight Phoenix Denver Frankfurt. I probably left in my seat pocket and forgotvto take it with me. Within 1 week the tablet was located and sent to my home. I paid only for shipping. I could not believe it.

I lost my iPad on an American Airlines flight to Phoenix. I didn't realize I had left it until the next morning when I had already left and was heading to Miami. I started to panic and tried calling lost and found on a weekend with no luck. I went on American Airlines website and put in all my information and descriptions about the lost item. Within a few hours I got an alert that my item was found and options to either ship or hold it at the airport for pick up. Since I was no longer in Phoenix I had to go with the shipping option. I paid about 40$ for 3 day shipping (which I felt was kind of steep) but not as steep as having to buy a new iPad and not the companies fault that I lost my item. Overall the entire process was easy and very quick. I received my item in less than a week from losing it. Very thankful for receiving it and not once having to speak to a person.

I left my phone on the plane... that's my bad. The photos, documents and contacts from extensive overseas travel were not yet backed up and worth much more than the price of the phone so I was thrilled when a United employee texted my wife to say the phone was found. My wife's number was visible on the phone face because she had texted me. Then silence for weeks except machine generated do not reply messages that my already found phone couldn't be found
Now I get a notice that my "case"is terminated. Is this reason enough not to ever fly United again. You betcha!

Not functional

Horrible communication and a company that may have gotten lucky by sinking a deal with American Airlines. This system made the process harder and created more work for myself.

Zero if I could
February 14, 2019

United airlines uses them to deliver left behind items. My first email from them indicated that they found my item (yeah) but that I elected to pick it up in person at the San Francisco airport (Um I'm in Portland) and I didn't elect that. 2.5 hours of trying to get a human being that understood what happened and would try to help. Finally bypassed Chargerback and went directly to the Airport Police to get action (United was an impotent idiot). Glad my item was found - no one should EVER have to endure the poor functionality of this company to receive their item.

My iPad was stolen from my room at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. Security just said to register with chargerback. A week later, my iCloud notified me that the iPad was turned on and gave me an address. I notified chargerback of the address the iPad was located at, and I didn't even get an update or a confirmation... nothing. A week later, I get a text from chargerback saying they couldn't find my iPad and that my case was closed.
