I spent 3300 dollars on six items.
-first delivery four items were damaged. Two were put on the truck. Two were so big they remained in the house. Big mistake. They leave stuff in the house so they can get away with keeping your money and accusing YOU of damaging the furniture
-round two and they delivered two more damaged pieces.
-round three I had to arrange pickup of the first two damaged items and return two other items. Now they're trying to say I damaged something I did not. They deliberately delay the pickups by weeks so the liability is on you and so they can charge you for damage.
-I am now waiting for 3300 to be credited back (it has not been done). And I have none of their furniture in my house. My experiences with Anthropologie and west elm have been quite different.
-crooked, unscrupulous, and a waste of money and time. Do not use.
Been waiting to hear back from a representative for three days now after spending over two hours on hold, leaving a voicemail and sms... my shelves were supposed to be delivered on Sept. 2 which has come and gone with no communication by CB2 reps. Brutal customer service... I wonder if anyone is actually going to get back to me...
I ordered a table on May 19. The information given was that it would be shipping in late May. I have tried repeatedly to get in touch regarding the status. Got an automatic response to an email over a week ago and nothing else. Just spent over two hours on hold and then got disconnected.
Was pleased with the assembly of our storage bench. Good communication to alert us when the professional would arrive. Once he got there, he was courteous, very professional and super fast! In and out very quickly with our piece fully assembled and put into place. Will definitely use again!
I just had the worst experience with the "customer service" department at CB2. We purchased their white Terrazzo OUTDOOR coffee table in April 2022, was delivered in June 2022. The coffee table was delivered for and extra $119, pick up was not an option for us. The table was delivered with a small chip which after waiting months for delivery we didn't feel is was a big enough deal to wait several more months for a replacement. At the time of purchase I don't recall covers for this table being available. They are now available but no where when you go to buy this table does the website tell you, "you must also purchase our cover to ensure the integrity of the table." I just now went through the online process of purchasing this table. The cover shows up only in the "items you might like" area and it's only in second place. The care instructions say to cover it, which I did (or move it indoors which is unreasonable for a 400 lbs table). I covered it as I do all my outdoor furniture in the winter and other inclement weather. When I went to uncover my outdoor furniture recently I was shocked and heartbroken to see the table falling apart…tons of chips. I attempted to glue a few (4 pieces) of the chips back on (of of the several…guessing 50-70 pieces). When I realized this was an impossible task I decided to contact CS. That was a total joke…they basically use anything you say, take it out of context and basically tell you too bad, it's totally your fault and we will do nothing to help you. The only thing they offered was to help find a place for us to pay for repairs. The style of their items are good but they lack quality and CB2 doesn't stand behind their products. I'm not the only customer with this exact same issue. One would think they would see a pattern here and do something beneficial about it. I feel over a barrel here. I loved the look of the table and we searched high and low for something nice for our outdoor space. Now our table is junk…literally in pieces. I am devastated and am feeling totally betrayed.
Btw - when people leave reviews, CB2 tells the customer how sorry they are and to reach out but as I just found out…that's total lip service.
Updated - CS just emailed me offering $100 off and an additional %10 off with free shipping. While this is a step in the right direction (hence 2 stars rather than one as I originally gave, I'm not sure this is adequate considering the facts. You can decide. I thinking on it still.
Do you enjoy WAITING? Ordered with CB2 twice. Both times the items were in stock ‘ready for pickup'. But not really. Every time new updated timeframes. Feel tricked. Waiting for weeks, poor communication…will not come back.
6 weeks ago I bought over 10,000 dollars of furniture from the online CB2 store. I have received NONE of it, and I cannot get them to answer their phones. Not sure if they're going out of business or just out of stock... either way... get your furniture elsewhere if you actually need the furniture.
We bought a sofa and the fabric began to pill. Customer service suggested we purchase a gadget to shave off the pills. Can you imagine shaving your sofa and the amount of time it takes to do so?! But we decided to give it a try, shaved it 3 times and pills keep on coming. They didn't offer any discount or to let us return it. Products look beautiful on their site, don't be fooled. Bad service, bad quality.
Sketchy CB2 charged us thousands of dollars for expected delivery of furniture by the end of March. It's mid April already and there is no updates or concrete date from CB2 for our delivery. Trying to reach out to CB2 customers service. My wait time is aprox. 1077 minutes! Are you nuts!? #cb2
#1 CB2 is selling items that is not the available and they don't know when it's going to be in stock….
#2 called them many times it's hard to understand them because they all located elsewhere but not in US
#3 START SUPPORTING AND GIVING JOBS TO PEOPLE IN USA because people in USA becoming really lazy
Anyways not planing to shop with CB2 any time soon!
I wish I had read the complaints here before buying my rug. They didn't have the rug I wanted in stock so they ordered one for me and promised it a week later as I said I would pick it up myself from the wharehouse. Still waiting weeks later and customer service is terrible. I am afraid to cancel the order as it looks like there are even more problems with getting a refund!
I recently ordered the Rue Sofa in the 'Flax' color - and am expecting shipment any day now. I emptied my living room of all the old Victorian Furniture that had been handed down to me from my grand-parents, great-gran-parents, etc. and am now looking forward to a newly decorated, modern open look! Every time I go into a CB2 store, I find things to buy!
Update - I LOVE the Rue sofa... it looks great in the living room along with some Tulip chairs from West Elm.
By the time they deliver my rocking chair my baby won't need it any longer. I certainly won't get to enjoy using it during my maternity leave. Chair was on backorder and I was told worst case scenario it would take 16 weeks. Fast forward to 20 weeks and I receive multiple emails saying its ready over the course of a month, but then each time I call the warehouse nobody seems to know where it is or what the delay is. Absolutely ridiculous. It's been 22 weeks and they still can't figure it out. I am a professional designer and I like the style of CB2 but their service is appalling. I will NEVER buy furniture from this supplier again, for myself or for my clients. It is so not worth it. If and when the chair ever does arrive I think I will regard it with resentment.
CB2 is the worst online shopping experience I have ever had. Don't buy anything from them. They promised a delivery date and never sent anything weeks past it But they did took the money and offered no customer support, no way to contact them except a text message no one answers and a phone number no one picks up. Or you have to send them physical letters! Cheaters and liers this company.
I ordered a throw pillow, which comes with a pillow insert. The order wasn't processed for over a week. Then I receive a notice that I've been issued a partial refund. No explanation. When the order arrives, it's just the pillow insert. Again, no explanation. I tried to call Crate & Barrel. Long story short, they don't return calls and I have to try five or six times before I get a human being, who tells me that the pillow cover won't be available for another month, at which point I need to reorder it.
I received wrong products and it took me two hours to get someone on the phone. The customer service was rude like it was my fault they sent me random lamp and pillows and not products I actually ordered. Well, I waited another three weeks and 50 emails to get my products... In the meantime I placed another order and again wrong products. I do not want call and email anymore, I decided to drive one day 200 miles to the store. Also, they charged me once for a rug that was on the back order and in two days they gave me a refund. They did not inform me what was happening and again I just do not want to call/ email forever. I just bought another carpet. A month later they charged me again. I need a furniture for my house, but I
Afraid they will end sending me an elephant and I can not drive to store with that.
I ordered 3 items from CB2's website. The items ended up not working out in my home so I started a return process. I was told by the customer service agent that I could return the items but it would cost $90 for return shipping. I opted to not do that, but instead decided to return the items to their warehouse location 20 miles away. I was told if I did this I would get my full refund. Two weeks later I chatted with another agent to get the status of my refund and was told that I would be getting it soon, but it would be for $68 less than what I paid. I explained that I was told I would get my full refund previously. This agent said that CB2 will not refund original shipping cost. If I had not taken the items back to the warehouse, CB2 would have charged me $158 to return the items. That is unacceptable! When I questioned the agent on this policy and about my previous conversation, she got angry and ended our chat session. I will not be shopping at CB2 or Crate & Barrel anymore.
They canceled my furniture delivery on me twice, an hour into the delivery window. When they finally delivered the piece (congo media credenza) it had the following defects: back left corner dent, warped left panel, chunk of wood missing out of left panel exposing a screw, top isn't properly aligned to base, crack up 3/4 of the right side panel, drawers did not open fully, cracks inside cabinets, screws (yes the pointed end) protruding into cabinet spaces.
Then customer service tried to give me the run-around. I was told a supervisor would call me within 24hrs - it is now 5 days later. They keep pushing an exchange but there is no way I'm taking more days off of work for this (already had to take 3!).
I ordered the Mangowood dinging table ("blox"), and scheduled delivery for teh exact date that I wanted. The delivery people screwed up and assembled the table in our garage and left before I could sign for it; problem was that it would not fit through any doorway into the house. I called the customer service line and within 5 days they had a new table to my home and assembled IN our dining room :) The quality is remarkable. I have ordered other pieces through them and have never been disappointed. Only issue is they are slightly overpriced and they seem to censor their reviews, which really bothers me on a different level.
I ordered a rug a month ago. Received the rug and wanted to return it. There is no available customer service. I tried calling, emailing and texting. Finally someone responded to me and provided me with a return label. It was mailed back 15 days ago and I still have not seen a credit. No one responds to me. They should have closed and not sold anything if they can not offer customer support
Answer: Just do not order from there. Awful awful. They take your money then say no refund and keep pushing back the date I will have my table. At this rate who knows if I will even get it.
