Some repair shops refuse to do repairs using carshield, and after one started the process, it took almost a month for carshield to approve the repair, so I was without my truck for a month. (Many calls and long hold times, garages just don't have the time to deal with).

This company called me and wanted me to bundle homeowners insurance with car insurance. I've been getting notices in the mail for quite a while. Finally, I told them that I don't own this home. The Rep said "thank you, I'll make a note of that and we won't call you anymore." Wonderful!

When my car broke down I attempted to contact Car Shield; but apparently they was not car shield. I was told that car shield did not pay claims in KY and had law suites with various repair companies. They tried to get me to cancel my policy and file a com,plaint to get my money back that I had paid into car shield; I decided that did not sound correct. I took my car to the dealership and they contacted car shield and got the ball rolling. It took some time(3-4 weeks) but car shield did honor lmy claim and paid all but 885.00. I am very happy that car shield stood by their claims and repaired my car. Thank God.

I had a repair totaling $2900 for a transmission repair. The dealership did not want to take Car Shield, because of the reputation they had, for not covering repairs. I highlighted, in the Car Shield contract, what they said they would cover. They dealer made an exception and it was paid. Of course I did have to pay my deductible of $500. That was such a relief!

Being able to get a rental for a week from CarShield is great but the dealership still has my car with no idea when the part will come in or when the vehicle will be repaired. So I am only able to use vehicle for a week paid by CarShield but need to pay the additional cost on my own.

Second response. Had car in shop for routine service when technicians discovered that the serpentine belt needed replacement. Called customer service after the fact for I did not have time to run around to find another service center but was told that I did not follow the procedure which I accept at my fault. Unwilling to assist me so I ate the out of pocket cost for replacement. Seeing I pay for my contract, I would think that Car Shield would be understanding and assist me with the replacement.

We do send out the contracts at the time of sale, which states on every page that No Claims Will Be Paid Without Prior Authorization. We require the Repair Facility to call in to start the claim based off of their diagnostic and estimate. This information is used to ensure the repair is listed for coverage on your contract. My experience was not bad. But it would have been better if Car Shield would have paid 75 percent of the cost instead of 40 percent. This is why people are so frustrated with warranty companies cuz they don't pay enough of the total cost.

Good morning I want to talk about the semi OK deal that transpired with car shield. I had a problem with my car sensors and I took it to the dealership who called car shield and Kasia stated they would cover the repairs. What I did not know was that car, wanted to send parts to the dealership that the dealership would not accept, so there was a price discrepancy between what car shield would pay and what BMW was offering for the part in the end I had to pay the difference. The overall repair came to roughly over $3000, which car she paid 2200, I had to pay the rest which is roughly $800. This was still a very good deal and I did not have to come up with the whole 3000 but my service contract stated that I should only be paying 100 so this was $700 more than I was prepared to pay, but I paid it, so enclosing this is not a great deal but it was a OK semi deal and I can accept that at this time. I signed up 2 years ago. Process was easy. Customer service is good. However for the last 3 months, the mobile App has been down. When I log in to make a payment, it says I don't have an active policy. WhenbI call CS, they assure me that I do and the payment can be made by phone. Besides that I can't see anything as not my policy. I had 3 major repairs come up and they didn't cover these repairs $$$$. Im not sure it's worth paying for a warranty, if it doesn't cover...major repairs.
