I booked a tutor and was all ready when they did not show. They told me that care.com did not notify them that I had confirmed. They showed me their screen which showed me they did not have any bookings. Yet, my screen said "hire again" as if I had booked them. This wasted the time I had set aside for tutoring. Customer service has not responded.

I've tried using Care.com multiple times and I get the same results. Care Givers does not show up and do not call to inform the client so a replacement can be called. I think I will stick with Rover.com at lease theirs someone at the helpdesk to speak to when something goes wrong.

Connie was an absolute dream. I had never used care.com before, so I was a little nervous but Connie put me at ease instantly! She is kind, sweet, generous, and thoughtful. She brought toys for our little girl to play with, even some age appropriate food. She thought of everything! She texted me updates throughout the babysitting service too, which I really appreciated. She was gentle and soft with our daughter and I think the two became quick friends! If we're ever in the CDA area again, we will for sure be calling Connie! I highly recommend her services - 10/10!

I was quite specific in that I was looking for someone to pet sit my PARROTS so, why did I get a bunch of folks saying they sat dogs or cats?
Also, I posted when the position was filled but have still been getting applications to the job.
Finally, what does the button "Not Interested" supposed to mean? Is it that I, the poster, am not interested in the applicant or the person applying is not interested in the job? Wording could be better on this button.

I have found some GREAT babysitters through Care.com, but continue to be extremely frustrated with the overall Care.com booking process. There is always a breakdown of communication with Care.com. I speaking specifically of the website itself. I have booked sitters that didn't receive the booking, I have had bookings confirmed and then cancelled with no explanation. I have given details to sitters that didn't receive the information. It is frustrating.

Every time I try to use this app to book a sitter, it is frustrating- the app has so many bugs and never works properly. And you charge us so much extra money on top of the sitters fees - the app should function properly. I can't leave a stellar review of my nanny who deserves it. I had to delete my initial job posting and report in order to book a nanny. These are basic functionalities of the service.

We scheduled a date night, booked and confirmed a sitter, then eagerly awaited celebrating our 11-year anniversary together. But then, the morning of the scheduled date, our sitter messaged saying she had to go out of town. When I told her it was our anniversary and we were counting on her showing up, she suddenly changed her tune and claimed she could find someone to help on her end so she could try and fulfill her obligation to us. But by that point we already canceled and the refund had been issued. So I told her that she probably should've thought about finding help for her issues sooner rather than just defaulting to backing out of the job at a point where it was literally the day of and we couldn't find a replacement. We reposted the job and received a response from a girl at 9pm (give or take a few minutes) and she messaged us her direct number and asked us to reach out that way. So that's another shady character. I'm not booking outside the app. I purchased a subscription for a reason. So y'all maybe need to discuss the rules again with some of these sitters.

My pet sitter was knowledgeable, professional, caring, responsible, friendly with an easy going personality. My dog, foster, 9 yrs old, settled in with Sarah beautifully at my home. I was able to go out for an evening feeling comfortable that my pet was safe and well cared for. Highly recommend.

Answer: Hello, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they are currently investigating Care.com. This is important enough to me that they have scammed me out of 6 months of payments and I had to close my credit card for Fraud. If you have had a bad experience with Care.com, I would encourage you to file a complaint with BBB. If enough people complain, then they will take more serious action. Here is the website. They want you to get crappy providers, the good ones are kicked off because once ya get a good one, you no longer need them. Cash cow corrupt company who makes rules up as they go along, I heard 20/20 is doing a special. I plan to contact them, as I am verifiably the best care coordinator hands down, extremely good with direct care. You will only ever be returned 1 month contact the Federal Trade Commission file a complaint that's what I did, the more problems the better the case against care, com
Answer: I would be cautious. I hope she is not moving for the job, as that is NOT a good idea. I get text messages daily from people asking me to email them (often for a friend), or someone coming from out of town or whatever. I delete these right away. First of all, they should go through the regular website and email you. No one would hire anyone without first meeting them, checking references, etc. I am sitting at the home of someone I took with through the Care site. I first communicated via email, then set up a face to face and met the kids. If it seems too good to be true, it is. USE COMMON SENSE! Seriously, if you don't have common sense you really shouldn't be taking care of kids, pets or anyone else!

Answer: Some of the clients are looking for cheap labor through the internet for housekeeping. I usually tell the person to call me back for interview finish. Then I would tell them that I am self-employed and they would need to file a 1099 for taxes to IRS.
Answer: Care.com is set up for parents that pay for the service... Parents can enroll for free and place and add. However, If they do not forward their credit card any messages from caregivers will have a blocked phone number. The babysitter cam also enroll for free and make a profile for her services. However if she does nor forward her credit card she can only apply to 8 jobs every 28 days and only the ads from parents that have paid for an account will be able to contact her. DO NOT respond to anyone contacting you on your phone that did not contact through Care.com first... This is always a scam... The message will look like this: I am moving to your area soon and need car for my son/daughter. Kindly respond to my email.(They are looking to scam you for money.)

They make up rules as they decide not how things are written and do not follow their own privacy policy. They feed on single moms and dads. As well as children providing for aging parents You can place an add on Craigslist as well, for free and your prospective employee provides their own background check as it can be a most recent one and obtained by themselves at 5 to 10 dollars
