I received the wrong order for all 5 bears. They are not returning my calls, emails or attempts on Facebook. Once they have the money they don't care what you are dealing with. Terrible service.
This is a joke. We ordered a bear. Specifically asked for it to be stuffed and the certificate. It came after 3 weeks and was a deflated corpse. No stuffing. No certificate.
So what do you want me to do with this? Now i have to go buy stuffing and figure this out on my own. Thanks for nothing.
Their support has been "Closed" for months. They never reply and no one answers the phone.

I had an interaction with Mel the other day and I was very disappointed. We came in to talk about having a birthday celebration at build a bear for our son. After being greeted by the very kind associate Maddie, we heard Mel actually call one of the employees an "idiot." Because of that, we decided to not even look into a birthday party, and immediately left the store. We will not be returning if this is the attitude of managers at this store
When i got my Bear (Hello Kitty) she looked dirty. The papers where crumbled and birth certificate was wrong :( I remember typing in the certificate, and still it was wrong
I really love margo she is a great worker she always keep a smile and her face and are great with the kids. I've been going to the store for years and I love her energy I don't know why she isn't the manager yet when I've seen several different managers go in and out of this store my kids love her!
I have shopped at Build A Bear Workshop's website, and every time, they get me what I want. Basically, if you've never seen this in a mall or anywhere else, here's the deal, Build-A-Bear Workshop is a neat place where kids can build their own stuffed animal (and by that, I mean stuff it, clean it, and even dress it). The online store has some more stuff (mainly because some of it is exclusive)
Let me get it right NO CUSTOMER SERVICE at all. Over the phone or over emails, no answer. The order confirmation say, that my order will arrive by the march 30th. I didn't have a problem with the date & time. I order early so my daughter can receive her Philadelphia eagles bear by Eastern Day around late march early April, Now the order is going to arrive at my daughter on March 10th super early. That is 20 days before easter. I wrote a message for my daughter wrong I try to contact build-a-bear from the first 5 min of ordering the bear, I calls over 6 times no one pick up the phone. I sent over eight emails and no one respond my email. My message is gonna sound like a mess when my daughter get the bear. Not cool not responsibility with the customers
She's amazing she's better than any Eevee plush and she's the same size as a real Eevee in the show I'm in tears how amazing she is I love her more than any thing in my life and grooky is so cool he's amazing funny but cool
Went to the buildabear store and made a an animal for my husband and I for our anniversary. Voice machine was down and I never received the birth certificate. Husband asked me if we received it since it had our anniversary date on. We looked and never found it. It took a good twenty minutes trying to make the thing since it wasn't working right. The one girl was super sweet and helped us pick out what we wanted and talked to us the whole time. She always helps when we go in and I love her to death, along with her there were four others in the store but the one who helped us did most of the people greeting and customer service. Buts as we were making the birth certificate no one helped us and we had to figure out what was wrong by ourselves since the one was helping someone else. Got to the register and waited a bit and finally we had some one help us will two others just stood and talked about their dogs. Got home late last night as my husband and I were celebrating and looked for the certificate. Called and was told that I would have buy a card and pick out the voice I wanted and give them the code off the card and pay a shipping fee to have a new birth certificate and voice mailed to me. My husband is upset because it was something special and we had already paid almost eighty dollars for everything. I'll go back but not for a while.
I order a bear online due to the fact there are no stores in my area.
Such rude customer service when asking why my order had not been processed or shipped.
Emailed them several times in a week asking why. The kept telling me it was on its way which it was not it hadn't even been processed. I am still waiting on a response after 2 weeks. They have told me once again it's on its way so dissatisfied with this company
Went to build a bear today for the Build your age promotion. The line was out the building. They were sold out in 28 minutes. All those disappointed children. Build a bear executives are to be ashamed of themselves. Anyone that high should have known they have too few stores for this kind of promotion. I hope they enjoyed inconveniencing there customers. In the future I will find my children a more sensitive group of marketers of stuffed animals. So greedy.
My address autocorrected to a different neighbourhood. Let them know through their guest services email immediately in hopes of fixing the address, with no response for two days. Kept emailing them and decided to give them a call after the third day of silence. Was told by a representative that there was nothing they could do; it was too late to cancel or make any modifications to my order.
Was then emailed at eight pm the same day and told that after placing an order online, you couldn't cancel or edit any information. No returns. No money back. Which was odd, as they state in the FAQ page that for any questions regarding the order or for any address change to contact them.
$30 down the drain.
I tried to change and address on my order as it was wrong and they said they could not do that i had to wait for it to be undelivered. Then i just said cancel my order and i was again told no they couldnt do that either. The order had no even been shipped i just have to wait it all out while they hold my money hostage will never do business with them again and we are frequent flyers at their stores. Its sad horrible company
Bought my daughter the beast bear because the store told me the outfit that was sold out would be coming back in a few weeks. Called them back weeks later they said they had no idea when it would come back. Called headquarters and the woman told me it would be back In stores in July. After months of waiting it's finally July. I call the store. They have no idea again. Call headquarters... she has no idea again... nobody has answers, sick of the run around liars. I don't even want the item now with no outfit. My daughter is so mad. Done with them
I tried to order online which was impossible. As soon as I entered my email as requested, the page switched to ads with no way to go back. I called customer service. Waited 1 HOUR! And, while I was waiting I had to endure the MOST ANNOYING music I have ever heard—over and over and over. The customer service agent who finally answered was very helpful and polite. Not her fault! The company managers need to 1) allow for a call back if hold time is long, and 2) allow the customer to silence the music. Easy! Please do it!
I ordered a birthday bear with embroidery and a recording. Wait time was was super long. The bear was tossed in a box with no wrapping to protect it, and the tape came off so the box came open. Careless and sloppy.
I also ordered a cat with vanilla scent. It stinks like hell.
Daughter purchased one via their on-line service and was charged twice for it. The charges were one week apart. We called the companies *******327 and after being on hold for a stupid amount of time - we were told by the phone rep that we were wrong about the charge and that they did not take the funds twice. He wouldn't even look into it and said we had to take it up with Visa. The kicker is that the charge was to different amounts due to the US to CDN exchange rates same USD amount - so this shows it was clearly charged twice - plus there is the fact that the Visa shows the $$$ being paid out. Suspect this maybe the norm for this company just by the reps conduct... Stay away from this company...
I went to build a bear at Vaughan mills and the lady at the front wouldn't let my son get a birthday bear 1 week after his birthday. She was so rude and had such a negative vibe that it totally ruined our day. Maybe they should hire children friendly staff since it's a CHILDRENs place!
Whoa how are there no reviews for BABW? Anyway, buildabear.com is the website for Build-a-Bear Workshop. They have a bigger selection online so you can find animals that aren't at your local Workshop. Buildabear has great, high quality stuffed animals and a variety of outfits for them. Their customer service is excellent online as well as in store. I have placed dozens of orders from them and never had any issues!
We went to a build a bear here in Tucson my granddaughter turned one july 1st BUT has been going to dr appointments and stuff we didnt make on her birthday. They refused us and wouldnt give her a bear!
