If you are buying a lot of items as I do, it causes havoc as you have partially filled but fully paid for items. Overall my experience in a word is - very frustrating to deal with. Automated, unhelpful responses. Crap service. Will NEVER do business with again.
We ordered a microwave oven. We watched the tracking info each day only to find no activity. We called several times and were finally told... it must have gotten lost. They placed an immediate reorder for us and we were told the unit was to be sent from their wharehouse with the fastest response time. Again we waited and watched. We finally called and asked about expedited shipping and were told they didnt do that. The tracking shows that the unit has been loaded for delivery this morning. If we actually receive it today it will have sat in warehouses for four days in its 670 mile trip from Indiana to Georgia. Were glad it was sent through the fastest warehouse.
I searched EVERYWHERE... and I mean EVERYWHERE for a quality alcove soaker tub that would fit in the spot where the tub installed by our home builder was located. None of our local stores had any on display or any that could be ordered.
Build.com is the only place that I was able to locate the perfect tub. Ordering was easy, delivery was very quick (we got it in 2 days), and it was exactly as specified in their product description.

Build.com takes customer service seriously. Not only do they ship fast, but their phone support is outstanding. I had all of my questions answered and got some great product suggestions for my remodeling project. I had one item arrive damaged, and the replacement was shipped to me the same day I called!
I called Build.com to discuss with customer service the correct wall mount for a hand held shower. I had purchased one and the plumber said it was incorrect. I then spent the rest of the day going to four different hardware stores to try and find the correct one. I explained my dilemma to the support rep and he looked on line, called different vendors and sent me various options. He then waited on line while I talked to the plumber to make sure it was the correct part. When the part was decided on, he took the payment information and even looked for my previous order of the day to try and combine them so I would not have any shipping charges. I have dealt with allot of contractors and housing issues with the loss of my home in Harvey, and I was so impressed with the level of service Build.com has shown.
Ordered a vanity and mirror with sink. Everything was smooth sailing. COuldnt find what we were looking for locally and were not disappointed when the vanity arrived. Color and quality were spot on. I ordered the scratch and dent freezer fridge by mistake, as I was originally wanting to order the open box. I talked to Rudy on the phone and he assured me that scratch and dent items were only very minor imperfections and the face of the fridge is not impacted. When it arrived, I could not tell where any scratches were, and it was not dented. The fridge was packed very well and works perfectly. Best part of the deal, only 85 dollars and free shipping!

Answer: I don't know how you can actually get them to answer the correct lead time. I received an estimated ship date when I ordered an American Standard faucet. Then, they emailed me 3 more times with delays. I called them after the first delay, and while I was on the phone with the agent, she placed me on hold and called American Standard, and said they told her that there would be no more delays. After this last delay, I called to cancel the order. They said they would "request cancellation" from American Standard. The big problem is they charged my account IMMEDIATELY when I ordered the product, but won't refund the money until American Standard confirms the cancellation. The service agent i spoke with escalated to her supervisor, and the supervisor is the worst person I have ever encountered when dealing with customer service.
Answer: Sorry to hear that. What finish were you trying to match? Usually its best ti use the same brand name when trying to match a finish, such as a Moen faucet to match a Moen towel bar or towel ring. That is because everybody has their own technique of making their products. I wonder if the finish on your new American Standard faucet is doesn't match because the other item you're matching in not made by American Standard. You should be able to return it if it hasn't been installed in any way and you still have the original packaging.
