Warning to anyone wanting to do online shopping with this company.
I wish I had have done research and read all the many many bad reviews across many platforms before making the mistake of buying from Grubs and Grubs.
Their customer service is appalling and I feel possibly even using off shore call type centres in their complaints department.
They have delivered an expensive folding cot with a broken base to my front door when I was out and will take absolutely no responsibility for it. I will not put my grandson in it incase he goes through it.
Avoid at all costsI wish I had read the hundreds of online reviews and the responses before I ordered anything from these scammers. Their customer service is outrageously unprofessional. Their practices unfair. If there are any issues or you want to change or cancel your order, (even same day, before it's shipped), you'll receive impolite responses (if you're lucky), and overused copy and paste paragraphs re 'third party charges', legal action and threats to ruin your 'retail credit rating' if you dare suggest that you're unhappy with their customer service and plan to share your experience. We ordered a cot and mattress, received a call later telling us the mattress was out of stock and would need to upgrade to avoid a lengthy wait (common occurrence according to google reviews). My partner agreed. When I got home and learnt of the new charge, I decided it was more than we wanted to spend and tried to cancel in search of something else, at which point I was passed to their automated system (wonder why?!), and received a copy and paste about third party charges and having to forfeit 20% of my entire order or accept store credit because 'why should we lose money just because you've changed your mind'. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Any prices you find here will be matched by baby bunting and you won't be treated like dirt. Grubby people indeed!
Bubs and grubs sell things they don't have and then attempt to take a fee out for cancelling the order. Daylight robbery!
I purchased two items they didn't have in stock (seems common for them) and they wanted to charge me a fee to get a refund. How is that fair business practice?
Owner threatened me with legal proceedings when I left an honest Google review.
The webpage will tell you 2 days dispatch, and how they pride themselves on their customer service, but the reality is your item is not in stock (they don't tell you that till after you've paid). I got told it would be one week to dispatch by email but of course this time came and went, no communication from Bubs and Grubs and each enquiry was the same -'just another week'. Then it started - being brushed off. No one was the correct person to deal with my enquiry. Eventually I asked for a refund and was directed to fill out a 'ticket' to get it. But then the emails went quiet. No refund. I contacted PayPal who are great, but then I received a hostile response from Bubs n Grubs. The emails and the fight for my refund continues. Then just to top it off, yesterday they sent my order and think that absolves them of all the deceit and stalling. They refuse to take it back and refund even though it's been weeks and I got the item elsewhere I. Two days. DON'T buy from these guys.
Our purchase was wrong due to misleading/false advertising and the company refused to admit any fault. They refused an exchange or refund. Through their 'ticket' system (you never get to speak to anyone directly regarding issues) their staff were abusive and crude; using capitals and multiple examination marks to try and make their stance more final. Obviously customer satisfaction isn't important to them.
1 star is way too nice! The staff here are rude and blame customers for their bad service. The prices are cheap but you're better off going somewhere more expensive where they value their customers and don't bully them.
Horribly rude owner, with not people skills what so ever. Makes things up as he goes along, talks around in circles. Blames customers for everything. Contacting me with abusive emails at 10.30pm. Crazy! Takes your money and RUNs. Just look at all those unhappy customers. Beware everyone.
The company refused to cancel my order and provide a full refund, even though I had phoned immediately after placing the online order. My daughter now has to wait for 3 months without the stroller while we wait for their slow delivery. Their service is appalling and policies outdated. Will never use their services again.

Sent item with missing power cable and blamed the manufacture for sending an opened box... Contacted them and they were not helpful at all. Refused to take responsibility for anything. Blaming me and Australia Post. Said they had video footage of my item being sent intact and factory sealed... Yeah right... Kept telling me to contact the manufacturer for get them to send me a new power cord. Finally gave up and contacted the manufacturer who was very helpful and they sent me a new cord for free. They have had many poor dealings with this company so were quick to help me as they knew I would get nowhere. The manufacturer could also tell by the serial number that the item they had sold me was over 3 years old...

If I could give minus 5 stars I would. We cancelled the order and were verbally told it would be cancelled and not be sent, then 3 weeks later we where contacted by the courier via email requesting to deliver. We advised the courier to return to sender as there was a mistake made. We then contacted Bubs and Grubs only to be told that they had not agreed to a refund or a return! Do not purchase anything from this company they are dishonest!
After purchasing a crib and confirming with the Perth store the product would be dispatched within two weeks, I was told at three weeks after purchase the item was delayed from the supplier and would take another week. Another week passed and then I was informed it would be a further week and then "possibly" a week further to get to me. I requested a refund, as advised by the store colleague from their automated/digital help desk and I had no response, I chased after three days and again no response, then I receive a text saying the item has been dispatched to me. After I had gone and purchased a new crib (babies don't wait!) and then spent an evening with their incompetent help desk trying to resolve and was spoken to appallingly. I would NEVER ever recommend these people to anyone. Disgusting and incompetent lack of communication between both their head office, suppliers and to their customers. Terrible.

Do not buy from these people, after buying a pram we asked if it was supplied with a certain accessory, to which we were told it wasn't So we brought the accessory as an extra, only to find that the accessory was actually supplied with the pram, we asked if we could get a refund, to which we were flatly and rudely denied, then the harassment started, and threats of legal action, buyers beware
Kept my money after I purchased a defective product. I sent the product back but never recieved a refund or a replacement product. Owner continually threatened me with legal action for ‘defamation'

As a new mother of a 2 month old baby. I wanted a cute play mat to give me a few more minutes to eat my breakfast and hang out the washing.
I found a great price with a local family company, which I love supporting local family businesses. However they have Absolutely the most terrible customer service. I had to escalate with PayPal to even get them to have the item sent to me.
On their website and when you complete the order it says will be dispatched same day or within 24 hours. It took 2 weeks to just be dispatched, with no communication apart from the purchase completed email and the email stating the item has been sent. Nothing saying sorry it's been delayed. Which I would have been totally fine with.
Then the item arrived! I was still super excited even with the terrible time I had just trying to find out where it was and what was happening.
I opened the bubble wrap it was wrapped in and my heart sunk, there was a lot of moisture inside the package (see attach photos.)
They do not contact you if their are any delays in processing or sending your item. And then say you're lying when you call them out on it. It's honestly like talking to a 5 year old (through PayPal because they don't contact you.)
The whole time I contacted them through their "customer support service" as it stated in the purchase email to do with any queries. It's been over a month now and still haven't heard anything from the 2 tickets I raised.
I have also called them 3-4 times and could not get through at all.
I'm currently waiting to hear back from PayPal to see if they can get me a refund. I have not opened the box, and if they don't want it returned it will go in the bin.
You'd think there would be much more care and compassion with people selling items to mothers and new babies!
If there were negative ratings I would had given them -5 star. Order online and after ordering said it will take about 4 months to get the product. Asked for refund, can't refund or cancel my order, they wanna give store credit which is not useful for me. WON'T SHOP AGAIN WITH BUBS N GRUBS. Threatening with lawsuits.
They started off fine but that was until one of my purchases, a cot arrived damaged. They immediately send you to their help desk who are rude, unhelpful, obstructive and try to blame you for the issue. They then want you to wait while they go through their processes and also seek compensation from the transit company first before resolving your issue. They expected me to handle and undo a heavy package, and do the same with 4 others while the courier was there to check for any defects while I am heavily pregnant and because I didn't and waited till my partner got home, apparently it is my fault. When you stick up for your rights they say you are threatening and aggressive, when in fact they are. They bombard you with emails and even though I contacted the owners they responded in exactly the same manner. It's crazy, not sure how they stay in business with such poor customer service. Do not do business with them, it'll turn into a nightmare!

Terrible, terrible service! I placed and paid for a $310 product online only to be told that the product was not available as it was "discontinued". I was promised a refund and have still not received it 10 days on. I have emailed several times just to be told they will "follow it up" but have not heard back. Disappointed they take money for such expensive items that are not even available and then still no refund after such a long period of time. I found the exact same product cheaper on another site and it was shipped and delivered in 2 days. Do not recommend this company at all! Shop around and you will find better prices and better service.

Extremely poor conduct. I placed an order and have been advised it is on back order until August - over 4 months from now. No issues there, but when requesting a refund, I was told that they will not provide a refund and that I was advised of the ETA. Further attempts to resolve resulted in a threat "Retailers including ourselves screen customers automatically prior to supplying goods and services based on their individual ratings on the EBR and decide on pricing discount levels, whether or not we will supply or make certain offers to and more... a bit like a credit rating."

Also got the whole solicitor thing. Not only over the negative reviews, but said they would get me for breach of contract because I did a charge back via my bank. Complete scum these guys.
This company should not be allowing people to purchase products online if they are not in stock. Someone can easily miss the the writing that says they won't get it for months.
I did this and then they refused to refund me, only saying they would keep 20% of it. I think this is a scam by them to make money - Hope they don't see its not in stock and allow them to but it and then keep some of their money!
Steer clear of them is what I would recommend.
Anyone that has made and order and then has to wait months contact ACCC this Company is cooked. From there they will put you on to small Calims "qcat Because I am Qld" they will have to full refund and paily costs. You won't need proof with the amount of complaints

You are not the purchaser of this item.
We have never offered a refund or cancellation prior to it being attempted to be delivered - that is not correct. We have never said or inferred it would not be sent - this is again factually incorrect.
That is a black and white factually incorrect review.
We received advice from the purchaser in writing AFTER the order was placed by your partner and AFTER it was Dispatched:
" I originally ordered a baby gate and fence from you and once the order had been processed i advised my partner Matt"
And
"he was quite irate with me for not having advised of him prior to purchasing the goods "
And
" My partner then logged onto Direct Freight Expresses website and requested the goods be return to sender asap."
As a result, we (Bubs n Grubs) were then charged for it's return by the courier company.
We offered to resend it and you pay the freight again or we as an act of good faith refund less the freight incurred costs.
You (Matt) then tried bullying us with threats to harm our small family business and now posting untruths in the public domain.
We (Bubs n Grubs) have never been dishonest at all - That again is a factually incorrect statement.
