HORRIBLE and RUDE

If I could give minus stars I would. I ordered my cot in January and was told of a delay due to the pandemic which was fine and I wouldn't receive the cot until March. March comes and goes and still nothing. April comes around and my baby is born and I have no update of where the cot is. Cot finally arrives the end of April and due to having a c section and needing support to recover was living elsewhere was unable to build the cot straight away. Came to building the cot and it has a large structural crack in the frame of the gate piece. I contacted the company and was informed that it was my fault as it wasn't unpacked within a reasonable amount of time. (No where on the website does it state what they class as a reasonable amount of time is). After multiple weeks of back and forth email communication I still have no where for my child to safely sleep. The best they would offer me was to pay for the replacement piece but they cannot advise me how much this will be or when I will be able to purchase it. As a single parent I cannot afford to pay again for a new cot or to be without a cot for my child to safely sleep. Their customer service was lacking, they were not empathetic. I now have paid $500 for a cot that I cannot use.

UPDATE- I have now been threatened over this review with legal action HA!
The fact that they argue with customers not only in email but publicly just shows how unprofessional and immature they are and the lack of customer service they have.

Atrocious

Wish i had seen the reviews on here before we puchased.
Without doubt the worst customer service of any store in australia. I would put zero if i could. To the point of not delivering our product. Blaming corona virus for courier delays despite not having sent any products and to top it off refusing a refund point blank. They say its on there ordering t&c that freight delays are expected which is true... however that is irrelevant given they hadnt shipped the order.

We had tried to cancel our order, ask for a for a refund to which they refused stating we had changed our mind whih we hadnt. They just hadnt bothered to fill our order so after a month we got another one some where else. To show how they operate they then ship our product once consumer affairs get involved, stating that we cant get a refund now.

Whatever you do avoid them at all cost. Atrocious service, rude, unethical. Go somewhere reputable.

AVOID

Appalling. Sold a product that was faulty (they deny this) and refused to refund; kept trying to palm me off to the manufacture (which contravenes consumer law). Eventually Fair Trading was involved and ruled in my favour but they IGNORED them. Fortunately, I bought through PayPal and finally received the refund I was entitled to though them, against Bubs N Grubs will. The communication all the while was aggressive, unprofessional and at times threatening. Like everyone else on here and on Google, Product Review has stated: AVOID.

Crooks

I would give them 0 stars if I could.
These guys are crooks. I bought a Graco baby swing from them online a year ago. It stopped working, I emailed them for support (no number to call). They told me to send the swing to them for the manufacturer to check it out. They weren't there to accept it on 27/1/2019 and has been sitting in Tingalpa post office since then. I've sent 3 emails to them to see how we can move on, no response at all. Called them on their retail line (because that was the only phone number), and they told me that they have email support, nothing. So right now, my item is sitting at the post office a month later, and they refused to do anything about it.

My $400 baby swing is now abandoned by them.

Never again. Buyer beware. No customer support once they've taken your money.

To Bubs and Grubs,
I have just opened the delivery of the order below and am extremely disappointed. The Uppa Baby Snug seat was unwrapped and stuffed into the same package as the Charli Chair. This is to be used as a gift and it looks disgusting as well as being dusty. What kind of packaging is the Uppa baby supposed to be in? Why would you just unwrap it like that? On top of this the Charli Chair Box is damaged and looks unpresentable to be used as a gift. It looks second hand from a garage sale.
This way these gifts have arrived is unacceptable

I got an apology and a 5% discount for future orders. Not worth my gift looking second hand from a garage store

Terrible!
September 20, 2019

Do not purchase online from this company! I ordered 3 love to dream swaddles. One was the incorrect type, I sent it back within days of receiving. 3ish weeks passed and I heard nothing from them. Auspost had sent me emails when the item was delivered back to bubs n grubs. I had to contact them and they said they hadn't heard anything about receiving it back. I heard nothing from them for days. Then I asked for the item to be sent asap or for a refund. They never wrote back but have sent a refund.

If you leave a 1 star rating they will bully you and say that you are lying etc. They will then threaten to get their "solicitor" involved if you don't remove or change review.

Clearly you need to learn how to run a business, you have so many bad reviews, not that many of us could be lying! This company is an absolute joke! They do not deserve your money!

0 STARS BUYERS BEWARE

When making purchases from time to time something will be defective. It is then exchanged. Except at Bubs N Grubs but that is just the start.

Purchased a Babyhood cot. 1 large crack in either the headboard of end. Reported it to the helpdesk as on the Friday & kept getting told 'will update you' so I called the store and was replied to on the helpdesk 'don't call the store they can't help you' and don't contact the manufacturer seeing as you know the contract is with us. Just rude post sales communication.

Well, come Friday I was told to pack the piece up and a courier will be arranged to collect it at their expense as am act of good faith (RIGHT! It needed to be collected and im no liable for it 'good faith' and to make sure it is packaged properly as it won't have insurance. Then it will be assessed and returned to me.

I then received an email asking to write a review of the product on their website regardless of positive or negative. So, seeing as it also stunk of fresh paint & I was told in writing that it would be returned to me after assessment so clearly returned as is or repaired I advised in my review exactly what my experience was.

I was then contacted by the owner again who is rude and has terrible ethics and communication skills I face legal action for this review and even though I screen shot what was sent to me kept denying it and threatening legal action.

The conversation went on and I said well I will write a review of my experience getting this part exchanged so my baby has a safe place to sleep in he said the courier is cancelled and I can return it at my expense.

Going by other reviews on another website I would not trust him to return it anyway and have an exchange issued so the matter is lodged with fair trading.

Buy from a large company!

Do not order anything online or buy from the baby store. Scammers... do not buy anything you have to assemble... missing parts and they will not get back to you. It is run by a family of scammers!

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM BUBS AND GRUBS!

I'd give this store zero stars if I could. The worst store I have ever dealt with.

Check all the 1 star reviews!

I placed an order beginning of July on 2x car seats with express shipping (only live an hour away) ETA mid July, I call up mid July to see how my seats are travelling to be told it's now ETA end of July. I made it clear baby is due in the next few weeks and will need the car seats ASAP or a refund so I can purchase elsewhere. Bubs and grubs said they'll keep 20% of any refund so they want to keep $250 of my own money on a product they haven't even received in store yet. Greedy!
They mentioned if i pay more money I can get different type of car seats that'll come much sooner ETA mid August as the origional purchase has now been pushed back to September. I paid them the extra as I am desperate for the car seats as I've already given birth and couldn't leave the house. Couldn't take my newborn to Dr apts, Couldn't take my eldest to school, Couldn't leave the house! Not once were they willing to help out knowing my situation. It's mid August and I'm still waiting for these car seats! I find out the company of the car seats have some in stock now and I could receive them the very next day. I informed bubs and grubs and they told me it wasn't true. I had emails to back that information which I was happy to share. The car seat company and bubs and grubs were selling the seats at the same price however the other company was including freebies (mirror & seat liner) I asked if bubs and grubs can also do the same for the stuff around which they replied no (no suprise). I finally get told my car seats have arrived and I'll receive them the next day. It took 5 business days for my car seats to arrive (I live an hour away from bubs and grubs and it took 5 days for express delivery). The delivery company are happy to refund me for the extra I paid for express postage as it was no longer express but I needed to deal with bubs and grubs who will refund me then they'd need to take it up with the delivery company... Well bubs and grubs don't want anything to do with it, Even though they are entitled to refund me for the express postage I paid!

Greedy, Rude, Selfish company. Stay away!

Nonesense, you were made fully aware you were pre-ordering and the ETA was not guaranteed - every baby store was in the same boat and you have already received the goods. You were also offered a full store credit or exchange for another colour available sooner. You tried everything you could to blackmail us for a financial gain which was all you were interested in - and your freight was actually upgraded for free. We don't respond to threats or blackmail, that is a legal matter. We wish you the very best for you and your family.
