Financed through them because it was easy during the car purchase but I will be refinancing ASAP. I signed up for autopay on their website using my credit union account and it was successful, I received an email confirming it was good to go. A day before my payment was due, I received a text about payment due. I log in and my autopay is gone and so is my bank account. NO EMAIL NOTICE, NO CALL THAT IT WAS CANCELLED. If I hadn't checked, I could have easily missed my payment! When I called customer service, apparently "some banks don't like us and won't work with us" - well isn't that a red flag?! Good thing I have a savings account with a larger bank or I'd be screwed on my first payment. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I'll be refinancing with a more reputable institution as soon as I can.

February 20, 2023

Requested a payment change over 3 mts ago kept calling for update. Now 3 mts later they are telling me request can't be granted due to past due interest... WELL when I requested the chance I was caught up this is WHY I wanted a payment change so my interest wouldn't go up! I'll NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY ANYMORE

Fraud
February 9, 2022

I refinance my loan with a credit union. They got the 10 day payoff and cut a check. I picked it up same day and mailed it for next day delivery. This was January 19, so they received it on the 20th. They cashed it on the 25th. They took a payment on the 22nd but again received the check on the 20th. On the 5th they called for me to make another payment.? So why did it take 5 day for them to cash? Why did they take another payment after receiving the check. It looks like they are prolonging so the can justify keeping all of the 10 day payoff. And it's not a lot of money until you think of the hundreds of people they do this to. They are probably making just as much scamming people this way as the do with their high interest rates. And they pretend that the are a separate company than the company selling the car but they are scamming the whole way around.

The worst lender
January 16, 2021

Please do not use this company. They have no consideration or empathy for their consumers. My daughter and I finance our car through them. We've had them for 2 years now and we never missed a payment or late with our payments. Since the pandemic we were out of work and they wouldn't consider our financial situation or try and help us out. We received phone calls every day and emails stating to make payments. I had a payment due and it was only one day late and they called asking for their money. They keep saying if we are 30 days late they would report us to the credit bureau. I've had other lenders and never had a bad experience. Bridgecrest don't care about their consumers. They are bullies and they like to harass their consumers instead of trying to help them out. I regret having them as my auto lender. Anyone considering to use them DON'T and RUN. The worst decision I ever made and wish I can get out of it. I had to click one star because it would let me post without checking a star but I give them a negative star if there is such a thing.

Great Company
July 18, 2020

I purchase a car from another lender (Santander Consumer USA) in May 2019. I spent 31/2 months in the hospital due to a medical emergency and this lender repossessed my previous vehicle, showing no empathy towards this situation and would not allow me to get it back due to it being such a new loan. I applied with Drivetime/Bridgecrest and was approved instantly for another vehicle. I read the reviews and decided to take my chances, picking out a vehicle with low miles since I know I may be paying more interest, which I expect. I have not had any issues with Bridgecrest. They are very strict at the beginning of the loan, they require the FIRST 2 payments to be made on time or they will repossess the vehicle. They tell you this at the dealership when going over paperwork, after this they will work with you. To avoid payment calls should you get behind, they allow you to set up future dated payments. They will not continue to call if they see a payment coming. Also by sending a little extra towards my payments, this will allow you to pay off the car faster than the maturity date on the contract. I hope this company stays around. I have no doubt I will use Bridgecrest in the future should I ever need a new car loan!

Refund
November 21, 2022

I recently refinanced my car with a different company, when my loan was paid off there was a surplus, I called bridgecrest today 11/21/2022 around 11:00am to inquire about my refund I was told the check was posted to my account but there is nothing saying I'm owed a refund at this time, and I would have to call back in 10 to 15 "business days" just to see if there is any update. I asked the representative why do I have to wait that long if a check was posted to my account and it exceeds the amount that I owe? And why does it take that long in general? And she replied "is there anything else I can help you with today?" and I told her no, and I'm going to report this company to the better business bureau. This is why I refinanced with someone else they are very unprofessional, and rude most of the time, they also could have offered to refinance my loan because it was initially 16,000 and now it's 10,000, but that's fine I'm paying half of what I was paying before with bridgecrest. I would like to get my refund a little sooner than 15 business days which equates to almost a month counting weekends. I attached photos to show they are very aware they owe me a refund. I would never recommend anyone to use this finance company.

A week ago I called and a representative advised me that I had two options one was a deferment and the other an extension but that I could not do it until a day before my due date. I call back the day before my due date and all of a sudden " oh your account is not eligible for a deferment" we can do a 14 day extension. I advised them to pull the call and then was told, "Oh I don't know why you were told that because that's not available." I have NEVER been late or missed a payment but due to income being furloughed, I need a one month deferment and these hogs won't even allow that! So then I am told oh well call back toward the end of your 14 day extension and we'll see if your account is eligible. That's straight up bs, they do not give two cents of helping defer a payment which could help a lot. I do not have a stimulus check because it will be mailed and that won't happen anytime soon but they want to put all sorts of info on their site of "what to do with your stimulus check" stay the hell out of people's business, perhaps they have to keep the lights on and food on the table!

This company does not work with dealerships that guarantee quality vehicles. The dealerships that Bridgecrest works with will sell you previously damaged cars that has been in floods and accidents. Bridgecrest will not inform you when your warranty is expired and they will not lift a finger to help assist you with repairs or an extended warranty. They won't even honor a payment arrangement to assist you with getting the vehicle repaired. But they will do everything they can to ATTEMPT to damage your credit by adding late payments so that you have issues trading the car in. They try to lock you into the negative equity car loans so that you will pay them more interest and less on the actual pay off price of the vehicle. The employees of the company are rude and don't even keep a notation of your calls/concerns. AVOID DRIVETIME, CARVANA & BRIDGECREST if you actually want to own a vehicle that you paid for one day!

A con of a company
October 29, 2023

I used the company through a loan with Carvana. It ended up being a huge mistake. My credit score was pretty good, so I got a decent rate with them. The vehicle ended up totaled, which began a mess of an experience with Bridgecrest. The company would not do any of their part of the claim process. I ended up having to demand their paperwork and submit it myself. The GAP insurance ended up being exactly the same. I had to do their job for them. They drug out the claim for months, charging me interest. When we finally got to the GAP portion, I stopped paying. They spent two months and failed to submit the paperwork to the GAP company. Again, I demanded the paperwork, submitted it myself, and two days later, they were paid. Then, the next problem was that the company refused to post the payment for over two weeks, getting another missed payment under their belt. They also filed with credit for my missed payments because they didn't want to do their job, and devastated my credit. On top of that, the payments I did make, trying to preserve my credit, that they got paid for through insurance, they refused to refund. It is a very poor company with very shady business practices.

So got behind on my payments during coronavirus sent to repo within a week put as much as I could on thepast due payments beginning of the year pay all past due and a couple months prior after those months income wasn't enough to make full payments again I put as much as I could on the late payments so I just so happen to look at my account with them and realized 1that my car was only 14,000 I have given them over 11,000 dollars and payments look as if I have paid nothing now this is very frustrating because I should be down to about 8,000 now if all payments where paid car note 201.66 every two weeks long story short they sent my car in for repossession allowed a tow company to break down my fence where the car is locked behind to drag my car down the hell and attempt to repo it until my neighbors started to come out and see what was going and then someone mentioned a lawyer and they drop the car not sure the tow company name though

This is the most predatory lender ever! I have paid 8k$ toward a 16k$ vehicle and still owe 15k$. On top of that I lost my job during the pandemic and asked if they could defer a payment or two until I was collecting unemployment or was employed again. They act like they will help, but all they do is ask for money. They had the gall to ask me to take out a loan or borrow 1100$ from family to pay them instead of trying to work with me. Despite the horrible interest rates and complete lack of any sort of flexibility or help in not getting my car repossessed, that's not even the worst part. They call me multiple times a day from multiple numbers asking for money, even after I explained I will pay them what I can based on my other bills I still need to catch up on vs my income. They enter payment agreements I never agree to and use it as justification to harass me all day everyday. If you can help it NEVER get a loan through them. You'll pay 10 times what your car is worth, god forbid anything comes up where you don't have money to pay right when they want money. Knowing what I know now I'd sooner take money from a mobster loan shark that will bust your kneecaps for nonpayment, (they would probably have a lower interest rate too) than ever deal with this company again. Only giving one star because zero or negative stars is not allowed.

I purchased a car from Drive Time for $11,000 exactly one year before the covid shut down hit. I should never been sold this car. I had no credit, $1,000 cash down, and they gave me a 24.6% apr. I was young and didn't know better, which they knew. A year later my entire industry was closed due to the pandemic (i'm a bartender) i was laid off for 10 months total, 5 of those months i had no income. They didn't offer me any forgiveness, forbearance, anything. All they asked is "are you planning on filing taxes?" and "did you get your stimulus check?" To this day, i've paid $14,700 on a total financed loan amount of $16,500 ($11k lot value plus interest) and my outstanding balance is currently $19,025. They purposefully look for low income and young people by saying " guaranteed credit approval" but then hide a mountain of loop holes and catch 22's in your contract. They'll harass you (literally 4-6 calls a day) and give you the worst customer service imaginable. They don't want you to pay your car off, and they'll make sure you can't. All i was trying to do was get reliable transportation so i could get to work. 3 years later i'm bankrupt and can't finish my college degree. Thanks, drive time and bridge crest!

SCAM ARTISTS
October 14, 2021

Absolute WORST car financing company to go through. You can be completely caught up on your payments, but say you miss one payment due to covid financial issues, they WILL NOT refinance, give you more time, or give you notice about repossessing your car. ALSO, lied about receiving a call about a payment then went on to charge double because they have no communication whatsoever between departments. So to one person it looked like we hadn't paid but we did. They're con artists and scammers. DO NOT GO THROUGH THEM IF YOU PLAN TO RENT FROM CARVANA.

Would never recommend!
November 5, 2020

Bought a car through Carvana and that part was fine. I knew i was fixing my credit so the HIGH intrest was something I knew I would have to suck up.
However, after a year of payments I refinanced to a normal rate with another lender. That is when the crap show starts. They acknowledged another lender contacted them for payoff, new lender said check was sent, etc. But Bridgecrest would NOT back down, said I had to make another payment or they would report it as delinquent. I even asked for some consideration, referencing they KNEW a payoff was issued already. NOPE! Then the check has cleared and posted to my account, THEY ARE STILL CALLING SEVERAL TIMES A DAY!
So frustrating, it's like a bad breakup and they don't want to loose my high intrest.
NEVER do business with them if you value your finances.
