I received a 3 bulb arrangement Nov 29,2024. On Dec 16,2024 I sent an email to Breck Customer Service with pictures showing the non-active bulbs and asked for guidance. I received no response. On Jan 23,2025 I called the customer service line and they said they could do nothing because it had been a gift. I had given all the details in the original email which they did not respond to, and now they were completely non-helpful. Suggestion was to go to the gift giver and ask them to contact them. Really? As if I'm going to give this company more of my or other's time? Very poor customer service.
Been waiting weeks for my refund. Called twice, assure it was escalated and id get a call within 24 hrs, nothing. Terrible way to treat customers. I'm going to the BBB if I don't get my money in a few days
Don't order anything from these guys! I've placed multiple orders from them and since they did some sort of system update, they can't locate anything and have stopped servicing me completely. I have several plants from last season that I thought I was going to be able to get replaced and they simply won't help because their system cant find my orders now. Feels like a big waste of time and money.
The company sent me my order in 2 shipments this yr unlike previous yrs. I called and requested to pay the amount in full when I received the whole order. The rep assured me that was fine. Then I proceeded to get charged late and finance fees and they refused to make it right. I will NEVER be ordering from them again!
I should have read reviews before ordering from Brecks. Don't fall for the beautiful photos in their catalogues. I ordered 8 perennials and only 2 grew, one of them being the lily pictured below. Mine did not look like the catalogue. You are lucky if you can even find the root in the bag of peat. They don't look healthy and are very dried and so small. One doubts if they will grow when looking at shipment which they didn't even sprout. I tried to get a refund after placing two orders. They will only issue a credit. Why would I want to order a third time! They send you dead plants. Stay clear of this company.
I ordered fall bulbs on August 3rd. We have a first frost where I live on September 15th and generally fall bulbs are planted at the end of September/ beginning of October. I put in lots of work preparing a garden bed for these new bulbs while I was waiting. I checked my order status often. By the beginning of October, I contacted customer service to ask where the shipment was. They said that they would put a rush on it and it would be shipped by October 21st. I pushed back, saying that that would likely be too late as we often have snow staying on the ground by then. They responded with, "Oh! You'll have to plant it in pots and then replant outside in the spring." They assured me that I would get a refund if the bulbs didn't grow. I don't want to waste more of my time planting bulbs that don't even have a chance! Now, it is November 2nd and the order still has not shipped. It has snowed multiple times, and we have had nighttime frost 6 weeks ago. Every night, it dips to -5. I called today to check on my order and they had no record of anyone requesting to rush my shipment. They said the shipments go in order of when it was ordered and according to whose zone needed it first. At Zone 2, ordering August 3rd, you would think that I would not be last in line - even without the rushed shipping. I have wasted so much of my time preparing a bed that will be empty until at least 2 springs from now, choosing my order, ordering it, tracking my order, waiting to chat with customer service online, being on hold to chat with a real person on the phone and I am no further ahead. They offered me a $10 coupon for my troubles (the guy I talked to seemed sympathetic and he was trying to be helpful, but his hands were tied). There's no way I'll use it because I'm not wasting time ordering with a company that only ships after we're under 4 feet of snow.
Friend gifted me bulbs from there. Agapanthus never grew. Hollyhock was single and not pink. Still I ordered 2 peonies the following year,pathetic.each made ONE leaf, they replaced them but the same quality for 20$ it was a scam.
I ordered some unusual and premium priced iris for delivery this fall. 1. They sent it in August. In the south, that is way too early. - it's like 100 degrees here, and not a good time to plant. All over zone 7 - they should have known better. Then, even tho I ordered and paid for these months ago, and the website clearly says they are in stock when checking today, I was sent a substitute. Not cool. I would have given them 1 star except that they did refund my money. I will NOT be ordering from Breck's again.
I spent $325.00 on 30 perennial plants costing $10 per plant. This is a lot of money for me. Firstly 5 were empty pouches with no plant (root) in it. Of the ones planted, NOT ONE grew. I had to spend money again to buy cheaper annuals plants for my garden and they grew! When I contacted Brecks for a refund, first they were not responding. After reaching out again, they finally responded with a coupon to use at their site. WHY? I want my money back. I don't want coupons to buy substandard plants from them again! I will NEVER shop at this fraudulent place again. It may sound harsh but that is what it is when someone does a transaction with their hard earned money and the other party gives substandard products in return. Brecks wrecks your pocket! Very disappointed and upset!. $325+ lost! No pics to add because nothing grew!
I ordered 12 distinct types of beared or Siberian Irises. Only 8 out those bloomed and of those 6 were not what I ordered? Either totally different products compared to what was ordered or color not as shown on the beautiful website… very disappointed and honestly can't understand how this company can still operate looking at other customers comments that experience the same problems. Unfortunately did not see those comments before ordering. Don't do the same…
For a company that supposedly ships world wide, I have been disappointed with every order that I have received, which have been many. Tulip's don't bloom, most of the bare root plants have done nothing, etc. Myself and my husband are experienced gardeners and have tried time after time, in pots and in the ground, to help all the plants we've ordered to flourish. I have been given credits by Breck's but after this last one arrives. I will do no more business with them. Their catalogue pictures look good but their product is not.
1) Breck's made a substitution without consulting me. 2) No planting instructions. 3) Several items I ordered MONTHS ago are unavailable. 4) Items were not shipped when they initially told me they would be shipped. 5) No response when I contacted their customer service. I will never, under any circumstances, order from Breck's again.
When I ordered I was given a date for delivery, every time I check it changes. Today after chatting. I was told they can't give me a delivery date. But will give me a merchandise credit if anything doesn't thrive. Well I spent my money with this company for the last time. How can it thrive if it doesn't arrive. Never again. I can't add a picture because I don't have my order.
I placed an order with Brecks last fall, ordering tulips.The order arrived I planted the bulbs per their instructions and out of 125+ bulbs 30 grew. I call and was assured my order would be replaced at no charge. Got the order and was charged 94$. Hours on the phone got me nowhere. Buyer be ware of this fraudulent business practice
Sadly, I keep coming back to this company year after year. My family likes the spruce trees, but it is not as described in that it is NOT predecorated. Each time I order, there is only one choice to pay, a credit card. Perhaps the system is not very secure, because at least 4 times, my bank stops payment as FRAUD. Since there are no chat or other option online, I have to call, and the staff keep me on the phone about 30 minutes "confirming information." As cute as the tiny trees are, I hope I learn my lesson not to go back to this company OR Breck's Gifts will become more user friendly.
I live in Montana. The majority of the bulbs for fall planting arrived on October 21. I ordered a large number of bulbs and worked solidly the next two days after they arrived. I worked into the evening and was thoroughly chilled. Then the temperatures dropped to 35° with snow coming in and lasting for for as far as the National Weather Service will post. I will never order from Breck's again. Part of the order still has not arrived. Now I am going to have to find refrigerator space to be able to store these for another year. This is a very big inconvenience. I am not a happy customer.
We ordered 325.00 shipping and taxes of gladiolia and dahlia tubers. Most did not grow dahlia no flowers or did not sprout at all. Terrible quality on all accounts do not recommend this company or their products. Disappointed and feel ripped off.
It took 23 days before I received a message that read, "your order has arrived in the US!" It noted to allow another 10 days for delivery. It's now 3 weeks later, and I still don't have my stuff. I've contacted them twice, and each time they replied that a case has been opened for my inquiry and someone would get back to me soon... Right before I found out that the items were hailed as a success for arrive in the US, I feel like an idiot for placing a second order. Unless you want your items to show up this fall, or maybe not at all, I'd look elsewhere for plants.

I ordered Bird bottles for my Family for Christmas. 12/20/21 - I understood they might be late but half were mailed and the others I got an email 21 days later stating that they were now out of stock. Two of them were to family at the same address - one got theirs the other didn't.
In their email they offered 10% as a sorry! REALLY? 21 days later! If you want someone to get a gift I would seriously think twice, they might get it and then again a month later maybe not. Really disappointing and sucks!
Answer: They never sent any product that I order for fall. Canceled my order after cashing my check. Still waiting for the refund. So no becks products to show off here. Only a un happy customer
